Asian salad, fresh from the orient....

Table 51 is obviously where the beautiful people go to dine Picture a large bottle of Italian water, dishes prepared with pristine aesthetic in mind. Even in my three-piece suit I felt a bit underdressed in the presence of this food. Chasing excellence, I perusing the menu discovering "the signature braised beef." Eat it without a fork they say. To think someone took the time to sign and braise the beef. I guess it's Canada so I wont complain. I'll just ask nicely. " bring me this beef with you have made so tender." The lovely Natalie would appreciate it I'm sure. Did I mention they have beautiful people here. every other Customer looks like a supermodel. I guess it's healthy French genetics. Next week Paris.

Short stay in Laval and across the hotel was Table 51, we didn't make reservations but walked in for an early dinner so they had many tables. Crab Cakes as a main? Yes please! Crab cakes were nicely done, a little oily from being fried but delicious filling. Fries were also lightly seasoned and with a kale slaw that's not bad, definitely helped cut back some of the greasiness.

Steak-frites lunch special $24 with soup and dessert

I had a work conference and came here for lunch, would have gone to Keg but it's not open for lunch :( Running around, this is what all the employees seemed to do here. There is no dedicated wait staff for a section. I had at least 5 or 6 people bring a menu, take my order, bring my food, bring the bill and then pay the bill. While I can understand it's probably very efficient for the money managers, that rushed aspect takes away from enjoying the food an at upscale lunch spot. Another thing I don't like is the constant upsell of drinks or extras or sides. I finally relented and took a side of mushrooms $8 which went well with my small steak-frites but pushed the price up to about $50 for lunch. The steak was good but not a fan of the skinny fries. I needed a coffee at the end and asked for a cappuccino, they serve Nespresso here at $6,50 for a tiny cup so be aware it's quite pricey. The decor is nice and the lunch clientele is very professional, some lunch specials are pretty decent and on par to the prices in the nearby food court.

I can't believe how good the lunch tartare was... I came here with my friend for the lunch menu and was amazed how good the food was. The lunch tartare came with the soup of the day, the main dish and the dessert of the day at 17$. For the soup, it was very tasty and perfect temperature. I can't remember exactly what the flavour was but I believe it was a vegetable soup. For the tartare, it was amazing. Salty but with a hint of sweetness. The tartare came with some plantain chips, crostini and a salad. The dessert was a vanilla ice cream with some chocolate drizzled sauce. This was a simple dessert but it was quite on the silky smooth side. And finally, the service. Our waitress came to check on us a few times and offered a great service. If you are in the area during lunch time, I definitely will recommend this place!

A nice place with nice ambiance and good service. However I was a bit disappointed! The food is ok and the prices were not reasonable. Went there with my wife and kids, it is definitely not kids friendly, they have absolutely nothing for kids, we were recommended to order a regular sandwich and make the kids share, not a good idea at all. We ordered Ceasar salad, and it wasn't so special. Usually restaurant like Baton Rouge would offer that kind of salad for free. It was not so special at all. We ended up paying more that what we got. I would think it is more suitable for people with no kids, there is a bar area and televisions if you want to watch the game.

My life is at steak here! I don't eat meat normally but I came here for my boyfriend's Christmas staff party so I decided to throw all caution to the wind and indulge in a meat fest. It was totally worth it on every level, even to the part where the bar maids were totally dumb about our drink orders, I would definitely go back to: 1) act very pretentious and pretend I am a rich member of the 450 2) mini big macs (yes and it is the greatest thing ever) 3) deep fried oreo cookies. It is true. They exist. And so do leprechauns and unicorns.

Nice place for business lunch/dinners. not too loud, good variety of food. The pork sticky buns were fantastic! The large tater tots were a crowd favorite as well and plenty to share.

Pretty good restaurant. Everyone enjoyed their meal. Octopus might have been a bit dry but the test was perfect, deserts are to die for.

Its a byow and they don't allow hard drinks, no vodka based drinks. Their menu is limited to pasta and pizza though there are couple of veal and parm dishes. We liked the primavera pasta and the bolognese was spot on. In summer they double their capacity with a terrace. Nice find for simple reasonably priced food.

Located in Old St-Rose, this place was recommended by a "friend" and I couldn't help myself but to…read moremake a small family trip (of 3!) that same week to try it out for the first... and sadly what ended up being my most likely last time. The place is located in a rustic old home that has clearly seen better days. Esthetically it's cute, with an emphasis on wood... EVERYWHERE. Overpriced paintings are offered (without frames of course) to patrons willing to pay for the art pieces show-cased by the resto by local artists. The place seemed cleaned enough... well the part that is well-traveled anyways. I did found cobwebs in a few corners while admiring all the wood, the floors didn't seem polished for a shop that just opened up and one huge problem for us was this disgustingly dirty high chair provided for our child that had many old food stains engraved into it. I'm not one of those over-protective parents but let's be honest with ourselves.... if countless stains are found on a high chair, odds are, they aren't cleaned anywhere as well as they should have. The place was relatively quiet at first but more patrons showed up as we were leaving and the place was almost quarter full by 10 AM on a Saturday. Take that as you'd like. Moving on to the food, I went with the generic full breakfast plate named "Le Sans Compromis" (No Compromises) which consisted of eggs, bread, bacon, ham, 'cretons', beans, crepe or french toast. I felt like the crepe today . The food took about 10 minutes which was pretty fast. The eggs were good, the sausages were good, the cretons were amazing.... and it stops there. The bread was burnt, the beans were "mildly cold?" (confused), the bacon felt off somehow (how? it's bacon!) and the crepe was this tiny thing that should be fine for a 2 year old to eat, nevermind a grown man for a meal called "NO COMPROMISES". The coffee was the standard not impressive filter kind that stays in the pot until a client asks for it. Opt for a latte, you'd be better off. All in all, we weren't impressed by our breakfast selections and it was a visit to forget. I also got a case of indigestion less than 8 hours later... related perhaps? Needless to state, cheer on the cheer on the cake for this visit. The price-tag didn't merit what we got and once again, places like L'Oeufrier and Allo Mon Coco rule supreme. I'd like to find other choices but it's getting harder and harder fellow Yelpers.... The service was prompt and very courteous thus why they get a 2 star.

(1 Star - honestly would give 0 if I could)…read more Extremely disappointing experience at L'Oeufrier - 1970 Boulevard Le Corbusier, Laval, QC H7S 2K1. When we arrived, the restaurant was not busy at all, yet we waited 10-15 minutes to be seated despite plenty of available tables. There was no proper greeting. Instead of being guided to a table, a waitress simply pointed from across the room and said, "Sit here." Not welcoming or professional at all. Once seated, we weren't offered water, coffee, or even acknowledged for another 20 minutes. We had to ask multiple times just to receive basic drinks -- coffee, water, and lemonade -- and even then, they were brought very slowly. It genuinely felt like we were inconveniencing the staff by being there. After finally placing our order, we waited about 30 minutes for our food. During that time, employees were sitting right next to us eating their own meals. I completely understand that staff members need breaks -- that's normal and reasonable. However, eating in the dining area directly beside paying customers, while talking loudly, using inappropriate language, and openly counting and flashing tip money, is extremely unprofessional. They made eye contact with us several times while we were clearly still waiting for service. It felt dismissive and uncomfortable. If staff are taking breaks or discussing tips and personal matters, that should be done in the back, not beside customers who are waiting to be served. The staff never checked on us once to ask if everything was okay. The food itself was mediocre at best. On top of everything, we were charged for a regular coffee, which many breakfast restaurants include with a meal. Overall, the service was slow, disorganized, and highly unprofessional. We did not leave a tip because the service simply did not warrant one. I would not recommend this location and will not be returning.
