I really wanted to like Table 22, but the experience was a huge letdown. Staff were eating full meals behind the bar super unprofessional. I'm all for giving grace, but waiting over 2 hours for food with no updates or apologies is unacceptable. The inside was cute, but the music was terrible, and the service matched that same low energy. As a paying customer, I shouldn't have to chase anyone down just to get basic service. I even had to get up and get my own napkins nobody checked on us. To make it worse, while I was in the bathroom, I could hear staff talking trash about the customers. Completely out of pocket. The food was just as disappointing. Everything tasted like it was cooked in the same grease my chicken tasted like fish. The cheese on the grits wasn't even melted, and the grits had no flavor at all. The crab cakes were super fishy and mushy. Between the long wait, bland food, and boring music, this place was a total miss. 0/10 do better. read more

I go in and first our table isn't even ready, after we made a reservation before hand. So we have to wait. Mind you, as soon as soon as we walk in the music is wayyy too loud. I started to have a headache because the music is literally too loud. It's so loud when I'm talking the waiter can't even hear us. There are 4 speakers and they are all on 100% volume. read more

I went o their grand opening and it was so good! Everyone was very friendly, the inside was very nice and clean, and the food was DELICIOUS! Here's what we got and the ratings Oxtail and Grits: 9.5/10! Very tender and fall off the bone . Insane depth of flavor Lobster Mac and cheese: the best I've ever had (and I'm typically not one for seafood and cheese). So cheesy, the lobster was perfectly cooked and well seasoned, and it came out very hot/fresh! Definitely need to come back since this place is so close to me! read more

The food and the atmosphere were amazing. I took my wife there for our anniversary craving the amenities that Table 22 had to offer here in Tampa. Table 22 sits in the midst of a strip mall setting, which means it has ample parking space. From the outside, the establishment is unassuming, but a pleasant surprise awaits you upon walking in as far as the ambiance is concerned. The decor is pleasant and offers an open concept view with a full service sitting bar at the very end of the room. We were greeted at the door but chose to sit at the bar as the tables offered little elbow room. Which led to us having to sit with our backs towards the door, dj, and social scene, which diminishes the experience, in my opinion. For dinner, we chose the wings, eggrolls, waffle, and shrimp w/grits. I would say the customer service was good, and the food came out in a timely manner. The highlight of the evening goes to the dj. I appreciate a good ol' RnB mashup, and he understood the assignment which made our Friday night for us! read more

Everything was great! From the moment we walked in til we left. Food was great! Drinks were great! Music was great! Everything was a vibe!

Not the prettiest location but the interior design was aesthetically pleasing. They did a great job with decor. Went for brunch and was seated immediately with our reservation. Our waitress was very personable and attentive. Our cocktails and food were great. For appetizers we ordered the knighton egg flight topped with fried chicken and the sanders wings. Our chicken on the deviled egg was a bit cold but over all tasted well. The flavors complimented each other well. For entrees we ordered the Calvary Lamb Chops and the South Broad Oxtail. The lamb chops and greens were very well seasoned but the lamb chops were quite small. With how small they are, the dish would be even better two extra lambs. Had more greens than protein. The corn bread was our least favorite due to the dryness. As far as the South Broad Oxtail, it was very good as well minus the edges of the meat being slightly over seared resulting it to be a tad bit dry. It was falling off the bone though. Ordering extra meat is a must. The meat to grits ratio was not balanced. As far as our cocktails, they were hitting! Mixed well and gives you what you need. Loved it. The dj was DJing. Lots of throwbacks that make you want to get up and dance. Such a vibe. I will definitely be returning to try their dinner menu and their new seasonal cocktails. Highly recommend dining with them. read more

Ended up visiting for a work event. Due to the size of our group, we had a buffet set up for food and worked with the server for drinks. It seemed that the staff had not handled a group of this size before. The buffet took a while to get set up. When I got in line, all of the plates were dirty. I had to wait while clean plates were retrieved from the kitchen. The food was good. I ended up having fried chicken, greens, deviled eggs, shrimp and Mac and cheese. The drinks were decent. I ordered a couple of espresso martinis. The service we got was good, especially for managing a large group. read more

My boyfriend found this place through TikTok. It was really good! We arrived early Sunday because they don't take reservations unless it's a big party. We were promptly sat. Our food came out super fast and we were pleased. I got the Brownsville grits with shrimp and a side of collard greens. The greens were AMAZING!!! Just like how my dad makes them! The grits were a little runny for my taste and it only had 4 shrimp that were pretty small. My boyfriend got the chicken and waffle dish with a side of potatoes, both were delicious! The sides are pretty big portions! It's very clean and spacious in here. The staff was very friendly and attentive. They have a live DJ too so it's a nice little brunch vibe for sure. We will definitely be coming back! read more

I came here for my birthday this past Sunday from Nashville, Tennessee and I really enjoyed myself. The Mimosas were on point! This was my first time ever having lamb chops and I must say they were delicious! The employees were so nice and helpful. I will be back to try their dinner menu. read more

I truly enjoy the soul food this restaurant provides. I had the lamb ribs with collard greens. I personally don't like greens from just anybody, but something told me to try these, and they were absolutely delicious. The lamb was tender and seasoned perfectly. Our waitress was on top of her game, and her service was very attentive to our party of 5. The location of this restaurant made me wonder if I made a wrong turn, but once inside the restaurant and I saw the decor, I was in awe. It's beautiful in there! Overall, it was a great time, and I will be visiting again. read more

Starting with the good. The service was absolutely AMAZING. Our server was Brie and my review is in no way a reflection of her she did her job great. The ambiance was great if you're into that vibe. The music can be extremely loud so be prepared to speak several octaves higher than normal. The food- well we were a party of 8 and our food came staggered so the last person to get her food was when we had all finished ours. So that was disappointing (however the manager comped her meal). I was a bit confused by the menu as it stated the lobster Mac and cheese came with one standard side, however once the bill came I was charged 3 dollars for the side. It wasn't much to complain about however I do think the menu should be changed since it doesn't come with a side. The lobster Mac and cheese was ok not the best I've had but not the worst. The collard greens were not my favorite. With mimosa and tip my bill alone was $77 which if the food had been better I would not have minded but considering the food was just ok not worth the price tag. I probably will not venture over again as this isn't a convenient location for me however I am glad I tried it out. I hope they do well in the future. read more

I really need to read reviews before making reservations. The good: Chicken is well seasoned. Service was attentive & timely. The not so good: Unless you're seated in the booths along the wall, seating is too cozy for my taste. That lil drink I posted, 23$. I kid you not. Wings were small. French toast was tasty & plated nicely, but brought to the table cold. It wasn't a bad experience, just not somewhere I'd visit again, nor do I feel I got my money's worth. What a disappointment , i planned a dinner for after my granddaughters dance recital 3-4 weeks in advance. i made a reservation for 6 on June 8 at 5 pm. I pride myself in looking for local owned businesses i like to support then plus the service is usually good and food always unique. When i did my search for the area near her recital . I found Table 22 i read all about it, the menu which sounded unique, and the reviews which were hot and cold, but the fact that is was a black own brunch, soul food i was in. Even decided what i was going to order. way ahead. i confirmed my reservation the day before and confirmed the number of the party the morning of. it6 looked like way me be 15 mins late so i called again to confirm we would be a little late and i was told no problem. We actually arrived a couple min after 5p and was greeted at the door by a hostess. There were plenty of tables for six available. A member of my parter ask to be seated away from the DJ as we tend to use our dinners out to catch up on our lives. After just a couple minutes we were seated as close as you can get to the DJ. The person that request the other table told me about what she had requested but I decided to not bring it up I did not think it was to loud. Menus were left along with a drink special menu. That was the last time in the next 30 min that anyone came to our table. Waiters and staff handled tables all around us , walk pass us but didn't even make eye contact. I tried two times to wave down the lady the seated us but she kept going by. I went to go to the hostess desk the the two people walked away as I approached. There were 4 -5 staff at the end of the bar standing chatting but not servicing tables or waiting. 3 different staff member went to the table next to us but never came near or look over at our table. after I tried to get a staff persons attention numerous times . I decided we needed to leave. We did get someones attention at the door as we left . Here are the points: Over all Customer service is at it lowest point everywhere you just have joint the masses. You have not hired the right people, or not trained the people you hired and hold them accountable to provide the service you need to stay in business or you believe you have enough business and you do not appreciate a new customer. If you are the manager/ owner that came to the door when we were leaving your are not paying attention to what is going on. I wish you luck i am disappointed I did not get to experience your food. I felt completely invisible in your establishment. Ironically, others have wrote having similar experiences. read more

This wasn't a bad place to visit coming from out of town. The food was good for me, my wife didn't particularly care for hers. Made a reservation for 6pm we got our drinks about 30 minutes later. The music is loud but they're nice jams. The waitress tells us the food will take a bit, which is fine but that turned into an hour and 30 minutes. We didn't receive any food except our appetizers and decided to leave considering they were also closing in 30 minutes. Sad because I had high hopes and expectations for the food and safe to say they did not reach them. read more

Experience was good. I didn't understand why is their a service fee charge on all orders.

Made a reservation for 5:00pm, arrived and entered the restaurant. Upon entering the music was extremely loud to a point the party I was with almost had to shout to communicate. A dress code is strongly recommended as to the fact that a nightclub atmosphere was more present than a restaurant. The food was good, but small portions for the price. And finally our food order arrived at different times rather than all at once read more

The marketing for this restaurant is great, however the reality of this restaurant is less than great! The ambience is amazing the music was perfect for the brunch environment. The staff was hospitable but didn't listen to our requests very well. Now the food: the food was not that good, mediocre at best! The drinks were overpriced and just basic. My biggest issue with Table 22 was the intentional money grab that they perpetrated. We were a table with three couples plus one (who was with one of the couples). They had two move another table to "accommodate" the seven of us, even though all they really had to do was just add one more chair to the table. At any rate we TOLD our waitress who was with who and on the same check. Sounds simple, however they added another waiter to assist our waitress with our orders. Everything was fine until we received the checks. (Mind you on the menu they have written that a 20% gratuity and service charge would be added to groups of 5 or more). We received 7(SEVEN) separate checks with the gratuity added to each check. Then they explained that basically the two separate wait staff members were handling two separate tables. If that were the case then there was no large party of 7 instead it became a table of 4 and a table of 3! Which means there was no large party that would have garnered the large party gratuity imposed on EACH check (alas the money grab). Seven separate checks totaled over $700 for this brunch meal! I truly hope they enjoyed screwing us over like that because trust there will be no return visit to this establishment. This is truly a one and done restaurant! We could've gone to Jackson's Bistro for their upscale buffet for way less money. read more

NEW We got in about one fifteen and was sat immediately. After that it took 20 minutes for us to even get water then we waited another 20 minutes and nobody came to see us. We say people who came in after us get a waitress and get served. There were about 10 employees walking around or standing and talking, a few even walked past us. We asked the host to try to find us a waiter but he never came back. We were looking forward to the food too. read more

First time visiting today, pretty nice place. I was overall happy with my experience however I will NOT order oxtail and grits again due to them giving me 2 1/2 extremely small oxtails for $32. I took my food to go and didn't notice until I got home but never again! I also ordered an additional to go order for a family member, they were fortunate enough to get 3. Still extremely small though. Definitely not worth the money! read more
