In Tampa with family and decided to check out Table 22 for brunch. We had reservations for 6 at 12:30 and were seated right away when we arrived. I was surprised that the restaurant wasn't very busy but it was a win for us. They offered a Margarita Flight tasting,which we all sampled. They all were sweet and strong. We ordered the Knighton Egg Flight(forgot to take a picture!) and Egg Rolls for the table-Salmon and Philly Cheesesteak . Both were quite tasty. For the main meal, I ordered the Black Wall Street French Toast and my Hubby ordered the Harlem Corned Beef Hash. Both were simply amazing. Tasty and melt in your mouth delicious. Therefore, my friend and I decided to check at their bar for a drink, and thankfully, a couple was leaving, and we were able to sit. The place was clean, nicely decorated. There was a DJ playing great music, and the crowd seemed to enjoy the ambiance. The bartender Manny took care of us and suggested that we go for the waffles and chicken, which I did order. My friend opted for the French toast and chicken. The food was pretty decent, and we didn't have to wait long. l need to come back. Went to brunch when some family was in town on a Friday afternoon. We had a reservation and there was no wait for our table when we arrived. The restaurant atmosphere is very nice. We were all very excited to partake in brunch; however, the food was not as we anticipated. The chicken was a bit overcooked. A couple of people had the corn beef hash, and were disappointed with the portion size and taste. They offer a free flight on Fridays so we gave it a try. All but one were too sweet. My husband and I came to this establishment on a Thursday morning at 11 AM the place it just opened up so we were the first ones inside. We were quickly seated and the waitress was nice. Luckily, they still had their Christmas drink menu. I ended up getting the Green Apple sangria and my husband got the Grinch drink. Both drinks were delicious but i definitely enjoyed mine better than his lol As far as the food, we started off with the Sanders Wings. These wings consisted of 6 wings tossed in their Buffalo sauce. They were delicious and packed with so much flavor! They definitely didn't disappoint! As far as the entrees: i ended up getting the catfish and grits. Great portion and the grits were creamy and the catfish was fried to perfection. Perfectly seasoned too. My only disappointment was that I found a mysterious piece of plastic in my food. Almost cracked my tooth but it just threw me off. The waitress apologized. My husband got the Upper West Side cheese which was the house Mac and cheese topped with seafood. I think it had about 8 shrimp, a 7 oz fried lobster tail, and crab meat. For the bowl to be so small they really packed the food in there! The bathrooms were cute for great photo ops. The location of the restaurant and the prices do not go together... it is located in a sketchy strip mall, the overall ambiance and aesthetic was decent given that my table was shaky and basically broken. However, the food could use a lot of work. The grits were not good at all they tasted as if they weren't cooked properly and the mac and cheese was real salty. Handing out milo's lemonade and charging for it is insane. Also be mindful there will be a 3% service charge and 15% gratuity automatically added to your check. Table 22 at 4924 E. Busch Blvd. In Tampa is ridiculous with the added fees. First of all, i came in today 2/23/25 and set at the bar and ordered a drink and was given a menu. I was looking around at the crowd and listening to the music. The water and my drink was given to me. I started looking at my menu and long behold at the very bottom there is something written about 15% gratuity and 3% service fee on every bill. Like i told the barmaid. I usually tip 20% if the service is good but asked what is the 3% service fee for? And she said the cook. I personally felt the establishment should pay the cook, not customers. I asked Nyla the Manager why are customers paying your cooks. She said the service fee is not only for the cooks, its for the dj, and the person who refills the ice. Last i checked i came for what i was ordering and should only be obligated to pay for that. That should be the responsibility of the the employer to pay staff not customers. That is a set up to ask a person what do they want to drink, then as you create a bill with a drink, hand them a menu that at the bottom states additional charges. Who read a menu bottom up? To say that I looked up a Black Owned Business to support while I was in Tampa. I found Table 22 on Google & Instagram.... We made it for Sunday Brunch / Lunch. The food was disappointing.... I was part of a trio dining at Table 22 last Friday. Prior to my visit, I'd seen numerous Instagram posts, heard announcements, seen pictures of food and received recommendations, building up the restaurant's reputation as a must-try. Upon arrival, I initially questioned if I was at the correct place due to its location nestled between a furniture store and another potentially abandoned building. However, spotting the Table 22 sign in the parking area confirmed my arrival at the right spot. I was welcomed by a guy (can't recall his name) at the door. I informed him I was waiting for two friends. The ambiance inside featured a DJ booth playing nostalgic D'Angelo tunes, setting the mood--not 2023 D'Angelo, but How Does It Feel D'Angelo circa 2000! If you know; you know. Anyway, I was seated by the guy/host and shortly thereafter a tall beautiful lady named Sade took over. As I awaited for my friends, I admired the R&B artist portraits adorning the walls, creating a fantastic atmosphere. Yet, my anticipation for the food grew stronger with every passing moment. Finally joined by my friends, each ordered their preferences, from lamb chops and chicken and waffles to indulging in King Crab starters. Although tempted by other savory dishes, I settled for the chicken and waffles due to the aftermath of my Thanksgiving feast. As for my friends, I received positive feedback on the Mac, fries, lamb chops, and King Crab. As for my chicken and waffles, while the flavor of the waffle was excellent, the waffle was dry, potentially not freshly made. When Sade came to check on us, I just said things were fine because her service was fast & efficient, the chicken was on point & the vibe was right. Despite my waffle, the chicken itself was flavorful and the highlight of my meal. In terms of the menu and experience, I aim to return to Table 22 in the future. We arrived early in the evening, under the impression they closed at 7:15 pm (thanks Google) only to discover they transition to a DJ/lounge ambiance with limited menu options after 8 (I believe). I'm all for giving grace, but waiting over 2 hours for food with no updates or apologies is unacceptable. We sat at the bar while waiting for table and the gentleman informed us that part of the bar out of service and he asked another bartender to help us. We sat there about 10 minutes and the other bartenders were just standing around and did not even approach us. The bartender who doing the drinks for the servers had to tell the other bartender again to help us. We were seated but our server was helping two large parties so we were slow getting drinks and food. I ordered an Old Fashioned and it was good. My husband had the Table 22 which he really enjoyed. I tried the Seafood Mac n Cheese and it was good, well seasoned. A lot of people were ordering The Upper West Side which had the lobster tail on top. It looked very tasty.
