Thali with lamb, kadhi, 2 veggies, rice and dessert with naan. The menu said it included dal but it was missing

We always come to Tabla as we feel like the ambience and food quality is not the same at any other restaurant in ATL yet. We have not tried GHEE yet so that may change. We came for lunch on the weekend as we love the thali concept. All of us ordered a thali which comes with bread, rice, side dishes and an order of your main entree. Everything was good except there was no dal in the thali. We were disappointed. But everything in the thali was delish. The dessert - rice Kheer was amazing. I had some before and some after (stole my husband's). Decor and bathrooms were neat and clean. Servers are okay, I have always felt that they can interact a bit more but they appear stoic. We sat next to the live bread window and it is fun watching them make bread. They also validate the parking in the deck above so it is very helpful.

Food and service were very good. I sat outside as it was a nice pleasant evening. The menu has a good selection of items. I recommend the ras malai for dessert as it was not too sweet and just perfectly like a cottage cheese. I do think the prices are a touch high here.

Stepped into Tabla with some coworkers for lunch and we really enjoyed the meal. I ended up ordering the Lamb Rohan Josh Thali lunch special. The Special came with Lamb, a vegetable, Dal, Naan bread, rice and a dessert ($18). The portion size was a bit smaller than I expected it to be, but the dish was just large enough to fill you up but not leave you feeling bloated. The dishes were extremely flavorful and had a slight level of heat that was perfect and not too overpowering. The service was extremely quick, we were seated, served, and checked out within 45 to an hour; and the staff was extremely attentive. Regardless of if you're looking for a place for 1 or a large group, I would recommend keeping Tabla in mind.

Tabla in Midtown is easily My favorite Indian cuisine in Atlanta. The flavors, attention to detail in the food, ambiance, and service are always on point. The Chicken Tikka Masala is most people's go-to's but if you want to branch out check out their tomato based Karahi and you won't be disappointed. They have different spice levels so be very careful how high you go! Headed there again after looking at these picture [lol]

I finally made it out to Tabla and so glad I did! We came for lunch on a Wednesday and what an absolute treat! Their lunch menu is smaller but well priced and we had plenty of food! We of course got some naan and samosas because those are classic! but I think my favorite app was the tandoor octopus. What a great take on this dish and stunning! For our mains, we shared the lamb biryani, butter chicken and some of the different chicken dishes. I love the biryani and the butter chicken was a classic. Definitely more tomato-y than other indian restaurants but still great. A great place to do a fun family style dinner and have tons of food to enjoy!

Moilee curry with chicken and garlic naan also lovely

Met friends here for dinner. There is a comfortable waiting area by the door as well as a bar inside. My group was seated outside which we liked because it was a beautiful warm evening. The outdoor patio area was a little cramped between the building and some planters but we squeezed in and the staff managed to get to us. My only real complaint is that the mosquitoes were plentiful and several of us were bitten a lot. We shared a few appetizers: stuffed mushrooms, burrata naan, and my favorite the corn ribs. These were strips of corn cob heavily seasoned and grilled. Delish! For entrees, the lamb shank was popular. Very spicy, and looked medieval. Butter chicken was also a favorite. I had moilee curry with chicken which was only slightly spicy. I needed the mango lassi to cool my mouth. I tried to eat it all but ended up taking part home for later. Garlic naan also lovely. The staff was attentive. There were three people checking on us and each seemed to have a different focus: water, bar drinks, food. I would definitely eat here again, though probably indoors to escape the biting insects.

I came here with four friends, and we had some amazing espresso martinis--they were super strong but totally worth it! I went for the Saag spicy, but unfortunately it was not at all, which was a bummer. One of my friends ordered the chicken tikka masala with the highest spice level, and it had a fantastic kick. We also had some delicious garlic naan. We sat outside so we did not get the indoor experience however when we first walked in, the atmosphere was chic with dark lighting. Overall, the service was great, the food was tasty, but I think the prices are a tad higher than some other Indian restaurants I've visited.

Great upscale Indian restaurant in midtown! Tabla has a decent atmosphere, priced pretty fairly for midtown, and has validated parking in the garage for 2 hours. We started with pakora as an app for the table and then each ordered a dish. That was my first time trying pakora, but I really liked it and would definitely get it again. Since I'm basic I just got the lamb tikka with a side of naan for my meal, and I also thought they were made well! I liked the variations in naan, especially the cheese and truffle one! For dessert we split this ice cream dish. I wasn't the biggest fan of it since I don't really like cardamon, but thought it was still good. Although the food was great, the only negative thing about the restaurant was how slow the service and the kitchen were. 2 hours is usually plenty of time at a restaurant, but we were rushing to get back to our cars before our parking expired. Otherwise, tabla was a great experience and I'd definitely come back!

In Atlanta for work. Had Tabla tonight. This place is a very SOLID 4! Really 4.5. Had chili naan , Lamb Rogan Josh tonight. Was pretty damn good! Now I was for level 10 as they said that was the spiciest . Told My server next time add another 10 lol. Don't think they believed me I wanted it that hot. Over all great meal. Had papadum to start with mixed pickle. Love mixed pickle. Look for to coming again and trying more

Very big menu with lots of different options! Also have a good lunch set (pic 2) where you choose a curry dish (we chose chicken tikka masala) and everything else comes with (varies depending on the day) all the curries and chutneys were super flavorful, heavily spiced and very smooth and silky. The samosas were SO filled (low key a little too much for our liking) and was a little dry. Surprisingly everyone's fave was the lasooni cauliflower (which I had to CONVINCE everyone to order) - batter was crispy and light, cauliflower still had a good crunch to it and the sauce was perfectly coated (not drowning or begging for more) and had the perfect balance of sweet spicy and savory!! It seems like they add food coloring to a few of dishes. Some dishes were ok and one was really bad. I complained to three server who basically just left it there and didn't offer to replace it. We paid for it too. For Indian food go somewhere else.

He seemed a bit frustrated early on until he finally let it go. Grateful he let it go because the naan wasn't even good enough to have more conversation around it. Then i wanted gulab jamun but they were closing so he offered me cold gulab to warm up in the microwave when i got home. i did not love that option and opted out. only reason im still giving this place 5 stars despite the service interaction is because ive dined out several times and thoroughly enjoyed my meal. besides from the music inside, no reason to dine in again.

For our entrees we ordered the Butter Chicken and the Mixed Biryani. We also got an order of Garlic Naan and Mixed Cheese Naan. Everything came out hot and fresh. I added the butter chicken to my biryani and added some of the green sauce from the samosa and Whoa it took the flavors to another level. We had enough for leftovers and it tasted just as good the next day. The only thing I wasn't a fan of was the Paneer, it said its cheese but tasted like tofu to me. My friend ordered the mango drink and enjoyed it. I ordered one too but never received it. Overall the service was decent. I felt like the food runner and the one who cleaned the tables was more helpful than our server. The manager did check on us as he also brought food out. One guy thought I didn't eat my food and we had a good laugh. I just got full quick. I would def return.

An Indian fusion tasting menu? Yes please! I'm glad we did, because our overall experience was really good. Firstly, in addition to the tasting menu, they have a great range of dishes and some happy hour specials too. The only less-than-awesome moment was our arrival. We were first in line at the host stand, at the very beginning of dinner service, with a reservation. However, we had to wait as a group behind us was welcomed and seated. The host was the only person all evening who wasn't warm or welcoming - it was a chilly arrival experience, with parking validation friction and would have put me off from the start if the servers hadn't saved it from there on out. We were seated close to the pass, which was a fun spot to watch both the kitchen and front of house teams at work, as well as a comfy booth from which to observe the rest of the space (including snooping at other diners' plates - for inspiration, of course). The server seemed surprised that we (as first-timers) went straight to the tasting menu, but quickly got organized and the drinks were with us within a few minutes. She was very present, explained everything really well, and handled my weird ingredient questions and preferences super well. The food was ahmahzing. 13 dishes in just over an hour - phew. Favorites and standouts included: - Green Papaya Salad: fresh, tangy and crunchy - Crispy Broccoli: vegetables never tasted this good. - Potato Dosa: too filling for a tasting menu, but the second-best bite on the menu - Dal Makhni: black lentils, creamy-dreamy and the best dish of the night. - Turmeric Fish: no idea what fish it was, but it was shockingly good. - Sticky Date Cake: yes, this is the British-originated sticky toffee pudding of my dreams, and beats anything I've had in the UK. Huge compliments to our server (Brett - she was amazing), the kitchen and to the management, who were very present all evening, checking in with subtlety and never overdoing it. I'm going to have to wait a few weeks to stop feeling so full, then I'll be back for a tour of the rest of the menu. I can't wait to bring out of town visitors; Ghee has brought West Midtown the type of southern-hospitality-meets-global-cuisine moments I have been hoping for. Welcome to Atlanta, team Ghee!
