Freshly made pita

After a long conference day exploring downtown LA, TABL M was exactly what I needed. The food was fresh, flavorful, authentic, and beautifully prepared. I ordered the tabbouleh and hummus, and every bite tasted vibrant and homemade. Fresh herbs, balanced seasoning, quality ingredients... you can truly taste the care in the food. The service was impeccable as well -- warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming without being overbearing. As someone who loves Lebanese and Mediterranean cuisine, this place absolutely delivered. Healthy, delicious, comforting, and authentic. I will definitely return the next time I'm in Los Angeles.

This is delightful little Lebanese restaurant tucked in a corner of The Bloc offers great service and amazing food. Many of the dishes come with various breads, and which they shape and cook on demand in a wood oven, so they come out amazingly fresh. We ordered a couple hot and cold mezza, a pubic bread, and one of the mains, and it made for an exceptional meal. The couple who run the restaurant are friendly and attentive. We keep going back for more, now having eaten there three times. Highly recommended!

s a distinctly fresh Mediterranean dining experience, supported by genuinely warm and attentive staff. the Tabbouleh was notably vibrant and fresh, providing a sharp and perfectly seasoned counterpoint to the meal. The daily lentil soup special proved remarkably flavorful, the Shawarma was the most compelling dish on the menu, presenting a uniquely rich profile. The menu is small yet each item is done to perfection. Great place to go if you want to surprise your palette

Saturday evening I was getting cold in the courtyard when my teen texted they were still going to get dinner with their friends. Tabl M tucked away in a corner caught my eye. It seems to be run by a friendly couple. I started eating alone then my teens friends parent joined me. We shared the cafe Blanc which as it turns out is not coffee. More of a very fragrant sweetened rose water. I had the red lentil soup with a delicious pita bread. Then wood fired pizza. I saw them get the the wood for the oven. I hope to be back and bring the rest of the family.

An absolute gem. My colleague and I are from the Midwest and spending one night in downtown LA for a meeting the next morning. The 4.9 rating caught my eye and the reviews seemed authentic and peaked our interest. Right out of the gate this is a 5.0 dining experience. We walked in and were warmly greeted by Chef Mona and her husband Joe. The interior is comfortable, clean, and well designed. Neither my friend or me had much experience eating Lebanese cuisine so we asked for their help in giving us a quick overview of the menu and dishes they were most proud of. We started with the Lahm bi ajeen Punic Bread (Lebanese flatbread cooked in a wood burning stove with fresh handmade dough). This punic bread is a mildly spiced minced beef & vegetable Lebanese pizza. We also enjoyed the Baba Ghannouj with freshly made pita bread. I wanted to lick the bowl it was so good. For dinner we ordered the Lebano Garden Salad and two orders of the shish Tauk (grilled chicken served with Rice and marinated grilled vegetables and chili bread. Everything was so fresh and flavorful. Oh and for my drink I had the most refreshing ice tea & lemonade. The tea and lemonade were homemade with fresh ingredients including mild herbs. It was sublime. Chef Mona and Joe surprised us at the end with fresh homemade Lebanese baklava. It was the perfect sweet treat to close a truly memorable dining experience. I waited 24 hours to write this review. One day later I am so happy we decided to try something new. I feel like I was welcomed into Chef Mona and Joe's home, but yet both are skilled and experienced restaurant professionals. They are so proud of Tabl M and they should be. They create a warm, inviting environment and deliver a truly memorable dining experience. Oh and if you are wondering about pricing - it is one of the best dining values I can remember. LA - give Tabl M a shot. You can thank me later!

This new place knows how to do Mediterranean/Lebanese food as it is super easy to get to. I took the Red Line from Hollywood/Highland and was there in under 20 minutes. It's right on the first floor of The Bloc Shopping Center in DTLA. I went with two friends and we shared a bunch of dishes. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully done. We tried: *Hummus - Smooth chickpea purée with tahini, lemon, and olive oil. *Baba Ghannouj - Fire-roasted eggplant blended with tahini and olive oil. *Lebano Garden Salad - A colorful mix of fresh produce tossed with sumac, lemon, olive oil, and crunchy pita bread. *Tabbouleh - Chopped parsley, tomato, onion, bulgur, and lemon. *Batenjein Mekleh - Fried eggplant drizzled with pomegranate molasses, tahini sauce, and parsley. *Tabl M Shawarma - Oven-roasted meat with tomato, parsley, onion, sumac, pickles, radish, and a creamy tahini sauce. *Falafel - Crispy, fried, and donut-shaped made of chickpeas and fava beans, served with fresh greens, lemon, and tahini. *Lebano Oregano Pizza - A simple dish with thyme, sesame seeds, sumac, and olive oil. *Vegetarian Pizza - Topped with tomato sauce, cheese, onion, bell pepper, mushrooms, olives, corn, and olive oil. *Baklava - Flaky layers of filo pastry filled with chopped nuts. The Batenjein Mekleh and Lebano Garden Salad were probably my favorite dishes. I wanted to like the Falafel but it was a little to fried for me. Shoutout to the executive chef Muna Fargo, who came by our table and was super warm and welcoming. Everyone was very attentive! Definitely planning to come back soon and try more! If you're in DTLA and craving Lebanese food, this place is worth checking out.

We stumbled upon Tabl M on a rainy day near our hotel, and it turned out to be such a hidden gem. We didn't expect much at first, but we were pleasantly surprised by how amazing the food was. Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious. Even my child, who normally doesn't like mushrooms, tried the mushroom soup and loved it! That alone says a lot about how good their flavors are. To finish, we had the baklava and the chocolate balls, and both were outstanding, the perfect sweet ending to a wonderful meal. Great food, service, cozy atmosphere, and a lovely surprise overall. Definitely worth a visit if you're nearby!

We ended our meal with some digestive white Lebanese 'coffee'... rose water ;)

Our first time at TBL M... and we are sooooo grateful that this lovely authentic boutique restaurant is in town! Food is excellent and authentically Lebanese... fresh and made to order. The owners Joe and Mina will make you feel right at home as you sit and enjoy freshly made pita bread in a beautifully decorated and designed space.... Come and taste for yourselves.

The filling of rice and ground beef is soft. The eggplant is much softer. They are cooked in a tomato sauce and served with a cool creamy yogurt. Babaganouj: This mezze is a roasted eggplant dip. We let the waiter know it was our first time trying Lebanese food and he went through the whole menu with us, which was extremely helpful. I love rose flavored drinks and desserts, so I was excited to try the jallab recommended by the waiter; it's now probably in the top 5 drinks I've ever had. The grape leaves and babaganoush were a must for us, since we wanted to try dishes that were different from what we have tried before. The grape leaves were herby and hearty, and the babaganoush was flavorful without the tang of a hummus, which I enjoyed. The fried cauliflower was crispy and hot with a creamy sauce that paired well. We liked the tenderloin kabobs a bit more than the chicken since it was juicer and more flavored. The interior is bright and airy, complimenting the hot afternoon perfectly. Their arayes are a must -- it's basically like a lahmajun with two pieces pressed together, and it's insanely good. I usually go all in and order the tabbouleh, babaganoush, a pound of lula kebab, and shish kebab. Honestly, if you're with 2+ people (or even just really hungry), ordering by the pound with sides is way better value than getting individual plates. You get more variety and it just feels like the right way to eat here. Every now and then I'll switch it up and get the liver plate -- it comes with tons of greens and onions, and when you wrap everything in their fresh pita, it's incredible. Not an everyday order, but when you're in the mood for it, it hits. If you dine in, the indoor decor is super nice and really gives that authentic Mediterranean vibe. They also play a lot of 90s music, which somehow fits perfectly and adds to the whole experience. I've dined in plenty of times and the service is always solid -- staff is friendly and attentive. Just a heads up, food can take a little longer sometimes, but that's because they're always busy and everything is made fresh, so it's worth the wait. I've also done takeout here more times than I can count -- probably over 100 orders at this point -- which says everything. This is easily one of my go-to spots and I keep coming back for a reason.

From the moment we arrived, the vibe felt off. The host who seated us (who later turned out to also be a server) left us at the table, and no one approached us for about 10 minutes. When a server finally came over, the first thing she said was "Ready? Ready?", no greeting, no welcome, nothing. We were never brought water. I had to ask a busser for it because the server walked past our table multiple times, clearly saw us, and chose to ignore us. The food runner was also rude, he dropped the plates on the table without saying a single word. Throughout the entire meal, no one checked on us. No "How is everything?" No "Do you need anything?" Nothing at all. Meanwhile, we noticed that nearby tables were being greeted, checked on, and treated kindly. When we asked for the check, the server literally threw it on the table without saying a word. The experience was so bad that we decided not to leave a tip; Something we never do, especially since we truly value good service and I personally work in the restaurant industry. I don't know if the treatment had anything to do with how we looked or how we were dressed, but I've never felt so ignored and uncomfortable in a restaurant before. The food may be fine, but the service completely ruins the experience. I would not return or recommend this place.
