Honestly just wanted an excuse to post a picture of my lovely cat that I adopted through tabby's place. I am so grateful I heard about them and was able to really take my time whilst looking around. I went in with an idea of getting a younger cat and walked out with a cat around 6 years old and have never been more pleased with my decision. Only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 was because I was told she had 1 slight chip in her tooth, ends up it was 2 teeth and she also was in need of a grade 3 dental cleaning. However, when I went in and got her my cat was still in quarantine, not even in the room with other cats yet, so I imagine the look over she received was Brief initially. Such a great place though and at the very least worth a drive just to see the set up, it's incredible!

Do you accept cats for adopting out? I have a kitten and an older cat my daughter can't take care of anymore and unfortunately with my job I can't take them in?

Tammy, I'm so sorry to hear about the need to find a new home for these cats. Unfortunately we would not be able to take them, but hopefully we can point you in the right direction. The best way we can assist is by having you submit our Help Form.… Read more

Are you allowing guests to come inside or is it appt only? I'll be in the area tomorrow but not sure what time it would be. I may be interested in fostering. Let me know?

Hi Francine! We are currently open by appointment. The cats would love to meet you! You can set up a time to visit using the link below.… Read more

I never write reviews however my experience with Diane and Annie of Animal Alliance was so…read moreexceptional that it deserves acknowledgement. On Wednesday June 16, I submitted an application for adoption of a wonderful little dog, which I then supplemented with information in an email and phone call to their office. I read all of their online information so I understood there is a review and approval process, that they review phone calls once a day, and that there is also a process of going to the facility itself by appointment only and waiting outside until it is the appointed time due to Covid. I did not expect an immediate response. On Saturday June 19, Diane called me and I learned that the little dog that I was interested was already adopted. However Diane and I had a long discussion concerning the type of dog that I would be interested in. She shared that there were some new arrivals from the night before and would I consider coming in to see them at 3pm that afternoon. She shared that the Director - Annie, has a keen knack for matching rescues with individuals considering adoption. She then called me back to say that she spoke with Annie and that she was looking forward to meeting me. I arrived on time for my scheduled appointed and waited in my car until Annie came for me and she took me to the portico and said she would return with the first little rescue for me to consider. She brought me little Celia, she gave us time to acquaint ourselves, and it was a perfect fit. Celia chose me, she settled down on my lap, it was a wonderful experience. There was no need to see another prospective little dog, I adopted Celia. Working within rescue is very difficult, animals arrive from a wide range of backgrounds and needs, all of which is time consuming to process and care for as is working with those that may want to either board or adopt. Both Diane and Annie are very caring and competent professional women who care deeply for these animals and for those interested in them. Little Celia is doing just fine, she has settled down and is extremely happy. She is house-trained and has the most wonderful personality. I had no prior experience with either Diane or Annie, I highly recommend them to guide you in the process, and further suggest that if you are unable to board or adopt a rescue from them to please consider donating to Animal Alliance so that they can continue to save other animals in need.

Adoption events were always great to attend and everyone was always warm and welcoming and you can clearly tell the volunteers are there to help the dogs get adopted. The volunteers really made Animal Alliance a positive experience and are really the only reason I am giving the shelter 2 stars. They are truly trying to help the animals there get adopted. The owner Annie, however, is incredibly rude. I never had a good interaction with her. No one is allowed inside the shelter and she will yell at you to move away from the door if you get too close. One of the dogs I had fostered ended up needing medicine and when I brought him to the shelter she was rude and dismissive. The puppy did eventually get medicine he needed. From other volunteers, I have heard stories about Annie preventing dogs from getting adopted out and signs of abuse towards the dogs. Overall, if you ever go to Animal Alliance, I hope you never meet her. The shelter itself, while no one is allowed inside, smells AWFUL. Any time the door opens, there is a smell that comes out and it's disgusting. I would not be surprised if the conditions of the shelter are not very cleanly. The smell sticks to any person or dog they bring out. I once met a potential foster dog and it was brought outside for me to meet and the dog smelled like feces and I had to cover my nose. Both of the dogs I ended up fostering went straight into the bath when I got them because the smell was too strong.

She is the founder of Lost Paws Animal Rescue. 47 Cats, Dogs Removed From Animal Rescue Owner's Home In NJ Many of the pets had upper respiratory infections, where they couldn't breathe or see, serious leg injuries, and had fleas and parasites. Alexis Tarrazi, Patch Staff Verified Patch Staff Badge Posted Mon, Aug 18, 2025 at 1:20 pm ET Updated Mon, Aug 18, 2025 at 4:49 pm ET PITTSTOWN, NJ - Just under 50 cats and dogs were reportedly pulled from an animal rescue owner's home in Pittstown on Monday. Annie Trinkle, Executive Director of the 501(c)3 non-profit volunteer-led Animal Alliance, told Patch her organization was told a couple of days before the raid to prepare to take in the large amount of animals. On Monday at around 8 a.m., authorities went to Geralyn "Lyn" Serino's home in Pittstown, who runs the Lost Paws Animal Rescue. "At this time, we have no comment," said Hunterdon County Prosecutor's Office(HCPO) Community Outreach Liaison Samantha Iraca to Patch when asked for information on the raid. "The conditions in the home were deplorable," said Trinkle, who added that the smell was terrible. The pets were "emaciated, they were showing clear signs of major upper respiratory infection, where they couldn't breathe, or see properly," said Trinkle to Patch. "One of them had a serious injury to its leg. They were just very, very clearly sick with something. And the rest of them had fleas and parasites, and at least half of them have upper respiratory infections," said Trinkle. Animal Alliance in West Amwell took in 22 cats and seven dogs, Crown Veterinary Specialists in Lebanon for emergency treatment of six cats, eight cats were also sent to Tabby's Place in Ringoes, and Somerset Regional Animal Shelter confirmed to Patch that they will be taking in around four cats. Trinkle also said Outcast Rescue and Animal Control Solutions helped with transporting the animals.

When it was time to get our cat neutered, which is covered by the adoption fee, the group has ghosted me. I have emailed multiple times and received zero contact from them. It was shortly after that that the woman in charge had her house raided. Approximately 50 animal were removed, in terrible condition. The news has reported on this, and it appears that legal action is being taken.
