3/2/24 I love Liberty Thrift- but- one pair of gloves I wanted of course had no price. It's maddening that every freaking pair but the one I was interested in had a price. I tracked down the manager who refused to price the item for me. A manager has the ability to price the item but whether they will or not is a different story. I still found some great cheap items. This store is heavy on clothes- that's not my thing- some items were extremely expensive- like worn shirts for toddlers for 2.99- for 1$ more I can buy brand new garanimals clothes from Walmart which is what I did. I had a box of Lincoln logs in my cart and a man shopping there told me he had a tub of them in his car he was going to donate. He offered them to me and I gladly accepted. This is not a thrift store. It is an antique store. The prices are outrageous. They pull all of the halfway decent items out, move them to a huge section, and price them like a high end antique dealer would. They should remove "thrift store" from their name and just say it's an antique store. Plus, when thrift stores do this, they think that they can just look up dealer asking prices on Ebay and that's the value. WRONG. Dealer asking prices are totally unrelated to finalized sale prices that buyers are actual willing to pay. The store workers are not trained and don't take condition, size, color, age, etc. into account. They just find what they think looks the same and then mark it similar to dealer asking prices. I can find the same items cheaper on Ebay. This trend that "thrift" stores are doing nowadays is so dumb. No wonder the store was virtually empty of customers! read more

Despite having passed this thrift store a million times I've never actually been inside until the other day. It is very neat and organized as far as thrift stores go and the staff was very pleasant - they have a ton of people working there. I didn't do much perusing of the clothes but there were a lot. Like most thrift stores I find the clothes are never the best but the home wares shined as did their music/book selection. I liked that the books were (mostly) sorted by genre and they had tons of dvds and cds ! Like tons! I ended up picking out a few cds , a box set dvd and a home ware item I'm hoping to turn into a Christmas decoration. Overall a good spot and I'll definitely be back for the cds alone. They hav a lot of "general" pricing and I liked that it was all clearly marked on every single display. They also have a rewards system ! read more

I love me a thrift store, and have spent many hours exploring all types of second hand stores on the east coast. It's rare for me to leave empty handed, as not only do I resell I shop for MY ENTIRE EXTENDED FAMILY, so usually there's something I buy. But this store missed the mark for me. Starting with the narrow parking lot in the front, not sure if there's another in the back but the lot is completely undersized, and difficult to obtain and get out of a spot if you're lucky enough to find one. Bikes outside, I was excited as my grandson is in need of one. Wouldn't consider any of this junk, especially for the price! I could buy one new without any issues, wear, and not kept outside at Walmart for what they're asking here. Inside, yes, it's large and fairly organized by dept, however the racks are a hot mess, with clothing hap hazardly hung, linens tossed about, and shelves with stuff on top of stuff. A picker's paradise it is not, for many reasons. Pricing was high on things that would be lower priced at expensive Goodwill. I didn't see anything in hard goods that was priced well for age, condition, and thrift. There are some .49 cent clothing racks but it's such a mess I didn't have the patience to pick through it. There's a good bit of art - priced like it should be at a gallery, and furniture priced high with scratches and stuff piled on top. Than there's the people - not sure why this store attacts a different crowd vs the two thrift stores down the street but people here are rude and have screaming, unattended children. Don't get me started on the toy section where I think people just dropped their kids off to entertain themselves with no supervision. A good amount of items did not have pricing. Found a few things I considered, but mainly just wanted to get the hell out of dodge as the feral children were driving me insane. Waited in line to get pricing, only to discover they wanted way more than it's worth. Ran, yes ran out of this store, empty handed, and had to squeeze into my car because someone parked too close. I have been a loyal shopper here for several years now, has always been an interesting place to find both everyday clothes to wear and decor/books/etc. at reasonable prices. However, I had a recent encounter in which a full cart of items was left out and since no one responded when I asked around if it was anyone's, I started checking out the items. Within seconds I was accosted by two staff members, saying it was a cart of items not yet put out. Since they were priced, I asked about one of them but was told that I couldn't have it since they were not put out yet and "it wouldn't be fair to the other patrons" and they immediately whisked them away. Feeling embarrassed as if I had tried to steal something, I curtailed my further shopping. Situations like this are not good for customer service or promoting good basic manners, which should always be part of a Christian based organization's foundation. I love this place, I always score big whenever I come here to shop. I mainly come here for my children because I always find decent clothes for the price. Today I got 22 pieces for $48.00!! They were name brand pieces at that. One of the shirts go for that price alone. When time permits I'll look for myself, I have always been able to leave with a couple of tops or bottoms. I would suggest going during the week because it gets very crowded on the weekend. Also, if you bring a donation you will get an 25% discount. Third time I've purchased there and third time things were wrong. #1 - Went to purchase pantyhose to use on my dryer vent, weren't pantyhose at all although they were marked as such. #2- Went a second time for pantyhose and got help from a employee who walked me to the pantyhose area- picked them out for me but again got home and they weren't pantyhose. '#3 purchased a battery operated skeleton who's eye pops out and retracts again for Halloween and the head was missing in the box. Don't know what's going on there but if your purchasing anything in a package, I would open it to make sure it is what they say it is. 3 visits 3 disappointments. read more

Liberty Thrift is located in Montgomeryville Pa on Route 309 in place of the old Impact thrift store. I've been to Impact years ago but last Saturday 9/26/20 was my first visit to Liberty Thrift. We were looking for a shelf to hold cd's (they had CD racks but we have a lot of cd's). We did not find it but I was impressed by their cd selection! It might take a bit to see them all but they have some hidden gems for only $1. I must note, the quality is hit or miss and make sure to check to see the disc is correct or even in the case! (standard thrift shopping 101). I found some R.E.M., Green Day, The Cranberries and The Libertines all in great condition! There was a lot more to look at and even if it did get crowded the prices are good. My only real complaint is the parking is not good at all. Very small, cramped and terrible to move around along the main building. I'd recommend parking on the side, not as crowded. Also be aware that bring on Route 309 leaving either way is a nightmare. This alone prevents me from coming back often. If you are still willing to brave the traffic I would recommend it. It's not my favorite thrift store but its still worth a look. read more

What a place! Tried to drop off several all wooden items. Drop off guy refused to accept a $350 lingerie dresser/tower because 1 of 9 drawer handles was missing. Said they would not be able to sell it. Seriously?? For less than $10 someone has a near perfect piece of furniture. Will never go back there again. Hope they go out of business soon just like folks before them! read more
