It's always great to find new vegan stops and Tabay's Mindful Kitchen was an EPIC find after a 12 hour day on the Road to Hana. We just made it to Tabay's about 30 minutes prior to closing and were warmly welcomed by Tabay with his big smile and positive energy! His truck is fun and was impressed with his great marketing and graphic work on his truck. Opening the menu was one after another thoughts of "Wow that sounds great"... "and so does that". After some contemplation and Tabay giving some feedback i landed on the BBQ Burger topped with onions rings. I had to add in the order of Buffalo Wings and an iced cold Lavender Lemonade. My family tried a wide range of different menu items like Buffalo Chik sandwich, Fish Tacos, and much much more. So let me jump right in and saw Oh My goodness... this was a massive surprise and everything we had was absolutely mind blowing. Now full disclosure. We are from Chicago and our entire family ( including 4 boys) have been vegetarian and spoiled with some of the best restaurants on the planet. Tabay's Mindful Kitchen literally just ranked to the top of my list. From the cute food court, clean kitchen, and infectious positivity I would fly back to Maui just for another visit to Tabay's! This is a must stop for Vegan, Vegetarians and even those meat eaters. I guarantee your mind will be Ask Tabay about his story... what a great one. All the best to Tabay ...a true entrepreneur!

I've heard about this vegan food truck and couldn't wait to try it. I met Tabay at a networking event where I tried his Persian veggie burger. Ono! Had to find that food truck pronto!! In Kahului, across from Costco are several different areas with food trucks. Go to the one closest to the Marriott hotel and look for the bright, orange food truck. Omg, I couldn't believe how many choices there are!!! A vegan heaven !!! (The menu online doesn't show everything he offers.) I ended up ordering Mexican grilled wrap. (Not sure of name). It was HUGE!!!!! And had left overs for another day. The to go box even had a hand-written note in it. (Love is in the details.) And Tabay even delivered it himself. I highly recommend Tabay's if your vegetarian or looking to add healthier but fun food choices. Can't wait til next time!!

Delectable Plant Based food in paradise. Doesnt get any better. Awesome customer Service. Big Macs were my favorite back then and this satisfied the taste buds and delivered. Ambiance: Youre in hawaii and eating delicious food under the beautiful sunny skies by the beach. What more can you ask. Keep it up Tabay's Mindful Kitchen. You are much appreciated.

The Persian burger was the best burger I have ever had Special spices were amazing The cherry drink was so refreshing that I had to go back for seconds and the truffle fries were out of this world Going back today Service was super friendly The ambiance was great with all sort of other food trucks in a circle Right across from Costco

I love this place. Tabay is always so nice with such good vibes and the food is great! I've tried the burger and the chicken wrap which I keep coming back to because it's so good. The fries are 10/10 too.

Tabay and Sahel are super kind and always a pleasure to talk to, and they bring not only a Vegan addition to Maui's food scene, but also their home Persian culture in every dish they create. My favorite dish is the Steakhouse Burger, but I also love their Persian Cherry Drink and their vegan loco moco, a Maui-specific dish they've created for their time here - Miguel Morales Photography

    Business card + kind message

The food was AMAZING! Definitely visit if you're vegan and in Maui. We spoke with the owner at the end of our meal and the service + backstory is fascinating! They left thoughtful personal messages in each of our containers and on the bag. The area is also very nice!

    Mexican pizza

We got the loco moco and the mexican pizza and both were delicious. The chef was incredibly accommodating and even let me change my order at the last minute, so I'm definitely coming back to try the crispy chicken burger next time!

The only restaurant/food truck I know on Maui that uses expensive non-toxic fryer oil, and it's all vegan!

Probably went a bit overboard but we were able to try a lot of flavors. Best shaved ice I've ever had!!! Really enjoyed the Mango and coconut. Ice cream was so creamy - Mac nut, haupia (coconut), and ube were our favorites.

Oh wow! This went way above my expectations!…read more When my trip to Maui was first booked, I researched a lot of food/desserts to try and spots to go to. I saw a lot of hype about this shaved ice, but I was like "it just looks a snowcone an I've had plenty of those" so I kinda blew it off like "oh I'll try it if we just happen to stumble upon a place" but I didn't write it down as a "must try" We went on a hike at the Pipiwai trail one morning and drove the whole rode to Hana. I was pretty bummed that we didn't get to the banana bread place before they closed, but on our way back to Waleia, I was looking up some spots to get a snack. This place popped up and I remembered it from my research so I figured we'd just go. It was on the way. We got ube, green tea, and lychee with a snow cap and mochi. Omg! It was wayyyyyyyy better than just a regular ole snowcone. It's so much creamier and the additional texture of mochi made it even better. Idk if it was because we just got back from hiking but it was so refreshing! I deffinitly recommend The only downfall of the location is that there was only one table and it was full when we were there so we had to walk down a bit to find another bench to sit at.
