They are very popular, especially for their breakfast tacos (in Mexico they'd be called "burritos"). The lines in the morning can be quite long and I've never tried Eddie's for breakfast. I have been to Eddie's for lunch on occasion. They're best set up for drive through or take-out, but do have a dine-in option. This time rather than go for my usual chile relleno plate, I ordered their enchiladas. They offer more than one kind: suizas (green sauce, traditionally filled with chicken), mexicanas (with chile colorado sauce), americanas (yellow cheese and american style sauce), and another I can't remember ... I think it was cheese filled antojito style. On any of these they give you the option of the filling you want. This time I got the mexicana style with fajita (there is a surcharge for fajita). I also got the chips and salsa. The chips are American, Tostito type, but OK. I would have preferred traditional tortilla chips. The salsa was good, delivered in three small cups with lids. The enchiladas were very good, but I did notice some grizzle in some of the fajita. The salsa colorado and queso fresco on top were good. They offer aguas frescas, but they appear to be made from concentrate rather than fresh fruit, so I got a soft drink, Manzanita. The lady at the counter was very pleasant, friendly, and helpful. She made me feel welcome and valued as a customer, and her service was excellent - truly a gem. Order at the counter, and they'll bring you your food to your table. For those who dine in, you can leave your plate at the table when you're through, and show your appreciation with a tip. If I order enchiladas again, I'll probably get the suizas (always a favorite), but I imagine I will be back if in the neighborhood and hungry.
