Casual, "shack across the border" type of atmosphere with delicious food and reasonable prices. We like to dine there because it's usually pretty quiet, but they seem to do quite a takeout business. We get the beef fajitas. A 1/2 kilo feeds E and I with leftovers. It comes with a yummy grilled onion, delicious charro beans, delightfully thin and hot corn tortillas, chips, pico and limes. We have been coming here for a few years now. The food has always been good, but the last few visits it has been just so flavorful with everything cooked perfectly! The fresh-squeezed Limonada is on point too. Check it out! read more

Texi Mexi - Yummy fajitas! - Mexican Near Me - Los Fresnos, Texas

Fajitas were excellent as were the charro beans. Very clean with good service. Worth a return visit.

Food arrived hot (and we were 20 minutes away) and is sooooo delicious! Highly recommend!

The food is incredible!! Employees are super friendly and attentive, I ordered a botana, tacos, and aguas frescas to go and they brought me chips, salsas, and lime to snack on while I waited. They had the BEST charro beans I've had in my life. I cannot recommend this place enough and will be eating here every time I visit home. read more

Good food down home atmosphere. It is a great place where they don't look at me funny when I try to order in Spanish.

Don't eat here! Unless you want to get ripped off! Use cash, especially if you are traveling. I had an azada plate and a horchata, that plus tip and sales tax shouldn't be more than 25-30 dollars. They charged my card 103 dollars! When I called them to dispute it they acted like they did not speak English and hung up on me as soon as I mentioned the overcharge. read more

Los Fresnos doesn't have a lot of restaurants but if you want authentic Mexican food I definitely recommend this place. The fajita by far the best in town. Great service. They could work a bit better in the phone service but that's is the price one pays when they are so busy to attend to their clients. read more

Food is very authentic and very tasty, service is good, and the ambience could be better. The prices are fair, you can't go wrong, try it.

Awesome and yummy!! Que rico!! My husband had the azado, their specialty. Also very good!! read more

Texi Mexi - Alambre azado - Mexican Near Me - Los Fresnos, Texas

Best Mexican restaurant ever. I'm from Houston, and I drive 5-6 hours just to eat this. I definitely recommend their fresh squeeze lemonade. Me and my girlfriend got the 1/2 Kilo of Fajita; in which there are still leftovers. Their frijoles charros are great, actually makes great dip for the chips. The furnishings of the restaurant could use some improvement, but the environment does not represent the food and service. The owner knows me by now because I'm probably his only Asian customer, but nonetheless he is still a very nice person. The cost of food for the portion that you get is definitely worth it. The Botana is definitely a bang for your buck; depending on which one you get it serves 3-6 people and the price ranges from $25-$40. Do not hesitate to come here and eat. read more

When I found about this place, I was eager to go. Being a Native of Texas transplanted to a dark and lonely place called Pennsylvania, every trip back down to the RGV is a trip worth it's weight in gold. The reason the trip is worth it is because of this place. This restaurant didn't open too long ago, but it is a literal heaven-sent in a town where getting a good set of tacos (in Matamoros style) can be hard to come by really really good. You come here, and it will more than likely be a bit empty, but don't let that fact disturb you, the cook in the back has been eagerly awaiting you to come so that he may unleash his heavenly taquito laden madness onto your tastebuds. They seem to make their tortillas homemade (if they aren't, then they are really good storebought) and they soak the tortillas in delicious oil (just the way they do it across the bridge, so it's nice) they then ladle a nice helping of meat of choice for you, followed by the queso blanco that you know we all crave with our taquitos. You top that off with 4 more tacos, a side of frijoles (perfectly cooked) and a bottle of your favorite Coke, and you're walking on clouds my friend. I recommend this place wholeheartedly. Best tacos in Los Fresnos. read more

We love to eat here when we have a chance to stop by. They have mexican water. Friendly atmosphere and excellent service.

Delivery Service, Was great and fast stayed at the deluxe 6 Inn & Suites. The from desk called me when the food arrived.

Everyone was telling me to try this place out , so I went to try it. Everything was fine until I went to the restroom and saw the owner himself just walk out without washing his hands. Needless to say I got out of there quick. NEVER going back. DISGUSTING!! read more

This is now my to go spot in LF.. The little taquitos and and the taco Zarape are by far my favorite. The green Salsa is also very tasty. Ohhh and try there agua de melon it's great! Thumbs Up for sure! read more

The taste was good. I had the 6 tacos. There was not a lot of meat in the tacos but alright. The green sauce was spot on spicy.

Texi alambriza was very appetizing. They were able to make a single serving since it's usually sold by 1\2 or full order. 1\2 order serves 2-3, but really about 4 depending on how hungry you are. Beans a la charra have good flavor and usually come with all orders. Fresh guacamole and yummy chips. read more

Awesome Mexican food at reasonable prices. My favorite is the fajita taco. This is real Mexican food. Staff is friendly and service is excellent. Some might think the building is a hole in the wall but what a holes. A must try if you love Mexican food and great service. read more
