I was told that the restaurant gets packed on the evenings and weekends. The staff was very friendly and I appreciated both the Spanish and English they spoke to me in! I ordered the Lonche lunch special (8/10). I had never had Lonches before and it was a nice little treat. The ground beef was placed in small bread and they provided some accompaniments to dress the lonches to your liking. I really enjoyed them and hope to come back and try out more entrees in the future! Go check them out, you won't be disappointed!

However, the food is overpriced and the service we received was dismissive. There were a lot of flies inside, and we found a fly in our margarita after a couple of sips. When we brought this up to the server, no apologizes were made and it was brushed over. We were told they replaced it with a new one, but the glass we received after was the exact same level it had been previously, which we were told was due to restaurant policy. Important to note, the "full" glass we were given not even a full glass. We returned the drink due to not feeling confident in the change. Would not recommend this place, and would recommend driving out to some of the other further restaurants in the area!

Service here is always quick and reliable…read more The ambiance is busy and fast paced for a local taqueria. It's a town staple. The Aqua Fresca's are always great and I personally prefer the Limonada! The price for food quality is very reasonable especially for anything nearby. They do sit 2 to 10+ parties and have seating for enough. They work with all types of diets, from regular to "à la Plancha" which is just the oil from the grill not added oil onto your tortillas. They have a more healthy option for those on a cleaner eating as "Tacos Saludables". with cabbage and tomato. The 3 flour tortillas are pretty big for when you have an appetite and need a challenge. the small corn ones are great for a daily choice. I've visited this establishment several times over the years and it never disappoints. They start you off with a cup of beans that does include bacon and sausage so if you're trying to refrain from pork or have an allergy/ religious purpose to refrain from pork. That wouldn't be the option for you. The drinks are all equally fresh and they have bottled sodas from Mexico that are great as well. By the register they offer cakes and other pastries that support local businesses. Their phone number is usually always busy and the establishment is hard to reach, you need to stop by to make an order. Definitely check them out when you get a chance!

Not sure exactly what combo I ordered. They were quick and plenty of food. My server was excellent. Both the Lonches and tacos were delicious! I would definitely return.

The meat was flavorful. Plus really over cooked. It was my first time at this establishment. I definitely will not go again.

The service has been good the times we have visited and our orders come out in a timely manner. The vibe is pretty cool, they do have loud music playing and this past weekend they had someone singing live music. We tried the nachos (half order)- I would rate them a 5/10. They serve a good portion however our chips were stale. We have also tried the papa with the meat- 7/10 pretty good, great portions. My fiancé really liked it. This would be a repeat order for him, for me personally, I would try something else. Lastly, 9/10 is the giant quesadilla. This is what you go to El Plebe for! It is delicious and definitely a shareable. You can share it between 2-3 persons. The flavor is fantastic and unmatched. You cannot go wrong with this order. We add crushed takis to the taco. First for the good things: the restaurant itself is super cute and it feels like you're eating inside of an old house, and the salsas that they brought out for our food (the two pictured) were quite good. Now for the not so good things. Service was not the best. Our waitress was friendly but it seemed like she was overwhelmed. She brought us our drinks and the first salsa and said she would come back with chips. She then never came back and began attending to other tables. We had to remind her about the chips. She then brought out the food and I was brought the wrong order. My boyfriend patiently waited for me to get my food so we could eat, but I felt bad because his food was getting cold. The food was not good. Nothing had flavor and almost everything needed salt. The first salsa needed salt, and our food needed salt. My migas tasted like nothing. The beans were good and were not canned beans and, as I stated above, the two salsas she brought out were good, but that was it. The salsas salvaged my food because otherwise it had no flavor. One of our forks was also filthy and had old cheese on it, so we couldn't use it. We weren't the only ones having issues. The table next to us was another couple and the husband was also brought out the incorrect order but his wife was given the correct order. The waitress (same as ours) took forever to bring him his food and his wife said her food was getting cold while waiting for his food. The husband did not want to remind the waitress and we heard him say, "I want to see how long it takes her to remember my food." We decided we would not be back. Not sure what the hype is because we just didn't see it.
