The food is always delicious, and was one of my go-to spots when I want to introduce friends to something a little different. I especially loved dining on the patio when I bring my dog along. The atmosphere is welcoming, relaxing, and perfect for enjoying a meal outdoors. What kept me coming back, though, is the staff. They are incredibly kind and always make me feel welcome. It's such a nice feeling to be greeted warmly and recognized as a returning guest. I've even celebrated my birthday here, which says a lot about how much I enjoy this place. As a bonus, there's a vintage thrift shop upstairs that I always love browsing before or after my meal. It adds even more charm to the experience and makes every visit feel a little special. I highly recommend the pasta, it's absolutely delicious! If you're looking for a charming local spot with great food, friendly service, and a unique atmosphere, Birdie Bistro is definitely worth a visit.

I just wish they gave you a side of rice with it because it leaves behind so much sauce and I know it would taste so good if you dumped a bowl of rice in it. Jajangmyeon was also very good. Lots of sauce and veggies and a few bits of meat. The flavor was savory, rich, and a bit sweet. There are some taxidermied animals (I noticed the longhorn, and a bobcat), so if you're squeamish about that or vegan I recommend you go find a tofu house. Background mysic stayed in the background, adding ambience without stopping conversation. We had no wait for a table, and our server did a great job taking our order. He was friendly, engaging, and efficient. He brought our drinks and one of their loaves of warm bread and butter. The bread is delicious, but I only had one piece to save room for the main course. I ordered the 12 oz. ribeye, a baked potato and a salad. My associate had the Texas T-bone, a salad and some asparagus spears. Both our steaks were cooked as ordered and we both enjoyed them immensely. Mine was so good it did not need steak sauce. I did ask for some extra butter for my potato, and it was promptly brought to the table. The salad was very good, as was the potato (I can get those elsewhere, and for less), but the star of the show was the steak. While their desserts sounded delectable, after my meal I couldn't eat another bite. Prices are on the high side, but this is not fast food, and the service and ambience were excellent. I recommend Saltgrass for a business meal. A romantic date or other special occasion.

It is chicken you can get from any other chicken place. It is freshly made, but that is the only positive I have for the chicken. We tried the strips which were dry and the wings. 2/5 We tried the soy garlic and red hot spicy sauces. The soy garlic was an okay processed sauce. The red hot smelled and tasted like it is ketchup based, so for me, gross! It was supposed to be really spicy and it was not. 1/5 The curly fries were hot, fresh, and seasoned well. 4/5 The mandu was store bought gyoza and it did not come with a dipping sauce as mandu usually does. 2/5 The lunch special was a good price but otherwise this is definitely overpriced. If you are ever in the San Antonio area, try Pelicana, it's AMAZING Korean chicken.

I always get half garlic soy and half sweet & spicy--both perfectly crispy, flavorful, and super fresh. Their fried gizzards are amazing, and the pickled radish is the perfect refresh to go with everything. If you love Korean fried chicken, this place is a must. Consistently delicious, great portions, and worth every bite!
