I went here with my friend for a mani/pedi, and it was not worth the price. I had to clean the gel polish off of my fingers. My manicure consisted of them painting my nails, and slapping some lotion on. No cuticle care, no care for any dry skin/hangnails, no nail trim, and if I hadn't shaped them myself I don't know what would have happened. When I mentioned I didn't like the pink color (colors requested were nude and black) I was told it'd look different after the black is on. It was a French tip style with an ombré fade. They polish design looks nice but it is not what I wanted. I'll change it out tomorrow at another salon. Pedicure was alright. Massage was nice. I had to buff my calluses some more, and my nails were left long. I asked to have them short. So I had to cut my nails when I got home. read more

My friend and I had pedicures. This was my first time here but not my first pedicure. I have been getting pedicures for years so I know a bad pedi from a good one. The good news is we were seated at the time of our appointment. Initially I was acknowledged but nothing after that except to tell me to relax otherwise it will be hard on the pedicurist. My foot was handled so roughly it hurt my hip! My friend could tell I was in discomfort but the pedicurist ignored it. My pedi took 20 minutes and although the color I chose looks good, it was not a relaxing experience. I am purposely not naming who did the service because as in anything broad generalizations should not be made on just one experience. I will not return to this salon ever. I was there today with my granddaughter I told her what to give her and then when she set her down in the chair she asked her if she wanted something totally different than what I said my granddaughter told her no. Bad experience here. They were very pushy and wouldn't listen when I said I just wanted normal polish not gel, and gave it to me anyways and charged me extra for gel I didn't want. They cut my toenails way to short, resulting in three ingrown and infected toes costing me a trip to urgent care and antibiotics I had to be on for a month to get the problem resolved. I went in for a lip wax and was asked to go into an unlit room. After the waxing I noticed there was still a hair on the left side of my mouth. When I mentioned it, the esthetician got really defensive saying it was a beauty mark. The mirror she gave me was super dirty (with oil) so it was hard to tell. I asked for a different mirror and she pointed me to the one on the wall. I couldn't use it because it was dark. When I switched the light switch on the wall, there were no lights. The only lights were over the recliner for the esthetician. You can't use those lights to see your face because the hand mirror blocks the lights just above. Not only that, but when I arrived I asked to use the bathroom and although it was clean, there was no hand soap. No hand soap for customers or employees. That means that the people working on your face and feet do not properly clean their hands. Also, you cannot use your debit card on a transaction smaller than $15 dollars. So I was charged $2.50 by an atm so I could pay $8. I am usually forgiving on 1 or two small things but no soap in the bathroom was an absolute deal breaker. read more

There was no hand massaging which I usually get wherever I go for a manicure, when I was done there was over lay all over the backside of my nails and I had to clean it off myself, she also was trying to upsell me which I know is her job but it felt pushy. This was my 2nd visit to Tspa nails in Tumwater on Cleveland Ave! Last time I had a manicure & shellac nails which lasted 17 days! This time I had both a mani (shellac) & pedi just regular ole polish. Love the nice job Linda did on both! Friendly place! mimosas! While getting beautified! My only reason for not giving 5 stars was that I don't like having those burrs used to abrade off the old polish, I have only had the old polish soaked off by wrapping the nails with acetone & aluminum foil. I tried this place for the first time because everyone raved about it so much, the location, staff and environment are great! I won't lie, the first set I got was acrylics with gel polish so a little spendy, the whole set came off within a week. I msged their Facebook page letting them know what had happened and the first thing they brought up was to come in and they would fix what they had messed up, pretty much asking for a second chance at no charge. I don't understand the popularity of this place... it's always busy. I've been here several times because it's close to home, but I can't see myself going back again. They rush you from start to finish, which results in a really poor job. I went for a gel manicure, and the owner sat down so I thought it'd be good. It was the worst. He cut my cuticles so low I bled, then proceeded to push back the area that he just cut! My nails are thick and uneven, there is gel dried all around my nails, and even on my hand. Lily did an exceptional job making my nails look amazing. She took extra time to get my cuticles down and make sure my nails were shaped well. They didn't do anything that she wanted, and her nails are already breaking very easily. This review is long overdue. The amazing team at T Spa have taken care of me for almost 15 years. This has been my go to spot since I was in high school and it's been so cool to see their business grow. Lilly and the ladies are absolute dolls who handle incredible amounts of clients while simultaneously providing top of the line customer service and smile under pressure. They are professional, accommodating, and give a great mani/pedi. This is also the only place I've ever gotten my brows waxed and I get compliments on them all the time! Got a gel pedicure and the lady made them so bad she used way too much polish which caused them to look bulky and bad then I told her I did not like the big toe and asked her to fix it, she tried to claim it was my skin ! That was the most ridiculous thing I've heard it wasn't even touching my skin, (I've gotten plenty of pedis before never looked like that) she had the nerve to try and still charge me $40 after refusing to fix HER mistake. I like the salon layout, and the techs are all very friendly, but most importantly I really like the quality of the work. I have had negative issues with other salons - bleeding cuticles, uneven thickness, bad shaping, long waits, uneven pink & white. I am very picky and view my final results with a critical eye once I get home. I have been really pleased each time I've had a fill, from start to finish. Gentle filing/nail bed prep, attentive application of product, consultation with me on shape/color and how I want it to look. I have to live with the results for 2 weeks, and they really get that. Everyone on staff is so welcoming and kind. I have never left unhappy. My nails are always on point, and not to mention, they offer punch cards and beverages for those 21 and over! My pedicure water was cold and customer service time was slow. Total salon time was 2 hrs. My manicure was terrible. I asked for my nails to be filed only-which was done not evenly and then corrected too short. The nail polish colors are not an accurate representation of what you actually have-my color could not be found. This is the second time in a row that I have been disappointed. Go to the west side. I have been sitting for over 20 minutes waiting to have my nails done as I write this. I have watched three women who came in after my group get their nails done as the water goes completely cold. I typically come here every two weeks but won't be coming back and am very likely going to walk out now. This is terrible service and I can say the T-Spa on the west side that Tony operates is much better run compared to this location these days. read more

Technician did a great job however the man who works at the front desk ruined the entire experience. The man is inappropriate and disrespectful, making claims at me that were absolutely uncalled for and were false. We were told that it was REQUIRED to do gel polish on the phone prior to arriving and then again when we sat down (reason is because of covid; then when we asked why, he said well because he actually don't have a drying machine for regular polish so can't fix regular polish if it gets messed up). We were handed the price sheet, chose the $23 classic pedicures while also keeping in mind the sign at the front of the store that said there would be a 10% add on to services, which is absolutely understandable. Got to the front to pay and they told me my total was $40. When I was confused and stated they should update their prices at least then to reflect that because that's a $17 difference than the sheet they handed me, he proceeded to interrupt me to say it's because of covid and because I chose gel. Then when I made it clear I didn't want gel but was told that was my only option he interrupted me to say that he won't have me challenging him and being rude to his workers, which was not the case. He proceeded to tell me that I get enough pedicures to know not everything is listed in the pricing sheets and that we were hustling him! Then when I told him that was inappropriate and rude to say because he doesn't know my situation at all he walked away to the back. Then once a worker finally ran my card for $37, I asked where to tip with my card and was told there was none.. I'm a licensed cosmetologist and how he is treating his workers and clients like absolute crap. Strongly recommend finding another salon. Technicians are great, the man running the show though is far from great. Do what is right, not what is easy. Including not lying to customers and then getting mad at them when they challenge your inconsistency, lies and rude accusations. read more

Lady who did my pedicure was incredibly sweet - hence the one star. Fine job. Younger lady who did my manicure looked miserable the entire time. And she did a poor job - just sort of throwing polish on and layering with so much top coat that it was impossible to dry. It doesn't help that the spa has no drying lights - only a fan which is freezing and not drying. Needless to say, several of my fingers smudged immediately upon leaving. Won't go back. read more

I have been to this spa several times with both good and bad results. My daughter however, has experienced pain and bleeding in the same area on her big toe after her last 3 gel pedicures. Even after requesting a more gentle touch, she comes away with a deep cut on the side of her nail bed. Three strikes and we won't be back.
