Good size portions. Friendly staff. Very crowded and limited parking. Food is quite good.

I've only had breakfast, but it was very good. It's an old converted gas station open long ago by a local - Thus T-Rays. Not really any ambiance, but great if that not your thing or you want take out. Service was quick and good for the breakfast menu. I heard they have great hamburgers, but never had one read more

Best biscuits and gravy on the island! Looks like a hole in the wall - a local favorite for sure!

This is such a hole in the wall that mostly the locals know about unless your Georgia Football fan.. This is our family tradition on the Friday before the Georgia Florida game. You might expect a little bit of a wait but it will not take very long.. Today's lunch special was the fried Shrimp plate.. read more

Best breakfast in town, just ask the locals packing this place. Very casual but the food is coming out fast and it is good. Homemade biscuits with tasty sausage gravy. Well-made omelets and generous portions. Also, they make good grits. read more

First let me say that T rays burgers are the best drove from orlando just to get one, but i had a bad experience. While waiting in line on 8/14/2021 with my family we were next in line to be served when a middle aged white man came in and the waitress told the cashier to take his order first because he had been siting out side in his truck on the phone, as a person of color I was offended. my thought was if it had been a person of color would the same courtesy been given if we were white. This trip up to Fernandina Beach was a great quick getaway. The concierge at the hotel we stayed in suggested we visit T-rays and man she was right. The restaurant which is a renovated gas station was packed. Parking was minimal but that didn't matter at all once I bit into the perfect Pepper jack cheese burger that reminded me of home. Perfectly cooked steak fries and the patty was also cooked perfectly. We also had the jumbo fried shrimps that were outstanding. I would be a regular there if it wasn't for the 2 hours drive. read more

If you're in Amelia Island I'd highly recommend trying T-Rays out. It's a quaint cafe of sorts hidden away by looks of an old fuel station! They're known for their hand-pattied burgers, hand cut fries and buzzing atmosphere. The little T-Ray Burger is juicier than anything I've had of late. Once you walk in, you'll have to stand in line and wait to order at the counter but that okay! It's worth it. When your order is ready, they will bring it out to you! YUMMMMMY! read more

T-Rays - T-Rays Little T Burger - American Near Me - Fernandina Beach, Florida

The best biscuits and cheese grits on the island! Love the small town, mom and pop atmosphere.

If you want all things fried this is your place. Not at all healthy. Everything southern. Why Americans are fat but also why Americans are happy. Known for their fried shrimp. Great for breakfast or lunch. Fried chicken was on point in terms of meat-fat-crust ratio but could have had more flavor. Diner feel. In an old converted gas station. Bathrooms are outside. Homemade cinnamon rolls you can get. Old time feel. read more

Came to Amelia Island with my parents and hubs on a Friday afternoon. Read that T-Rays was the place to go so we gave it a shot. Mom got the burger, hubs and I got fried chicken sandwich, dad got fried bologna sandwich. All of it was fantastic. Piping hot and hit the spot. Not huge inside and it was a cold day but we only had to wait 5 minutes for a table. If it's nice outside, I would suggest a picnic table out front. Atmosphere is so neat. Sports fanatics in an old gas station. Very cool. read more

Beat breakfast and lunch in town We love going The ladies at the counter are ALWAYS super friendly

Doesn't look like much but it is by far the best burger I have ever had. Went when I was still in school 8 years ago and have talked about it ever since. Have made the drive 3-4 times from Atlanta and from Charleston just to go eat there again. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would. I was picking up a delivery for Doordash as I've never personally been in to eat their food, however I do like to see how the atmosphere is while dashing and see if I would like to eat there in the future. Unfortunately, I will never be returning based on how I was treated alone. I went up to the pick up register as I have never been in before, and hadn't seen the pick up Doordash sign in the corner, because there were too many people in line. Then I was told that my order was ready, and I assumed you picked up the order at the bar. However I was supposed to wait behind a rope and wait. Before I could read the sign that said only employees were supposed to be there, the miserable old lady raised her voice with me (and it was so loud I'm sure the whole restaurant could hear it) and told me to go wait by Doordash sign. The customer next to me (also waiting) said how rude that lady was to me and how that's not a nice and professional way to handle the situation. Then after I received the food in the order the guy working acted as if I was an employee and said that I had to get the soda, and had an attitude as if he couldn't be bothered. I can understand that I wasn't in the right place to pick up the order, however I wish I could have been met with patience and kindness when being directed to the waiting area. read more

Outstanding breakfast at an outstanding dinner price. Been eating there for 15 years. A very local place not fancy

Little hole in the wall but food was great. Definitely a locals place as the woman taking orders at the counter knew several people's names and orders. Two people in the party ordered a little burger and it was actually a good amount of food. If you get it all the way, it's going to be a bit messy. Steak fries were tasty. Another person ordered the special which was a crab burger and he enjoyed it. I ordered the grilled chicken salad. Hard to mess up a salad but it was great and a big portion. Chicken was flavorful. I recommend this place! I prefer it over the other gas station burger joint around the corner... read more

Well it's all true. This place is one of kind, as is the man (or men, it's actually two generations of Rays - Ray who is the original proprietor, and his son T-Ray who was the man behind the grill cooking up a storm to a packed house of loyal customers on a hot Monday at noon. And like everyone said, the burgers and fries are great, but we're giving it a 5 cause it's good people and a ton of fun. read more

T-Rays - The best in the business - American Near Me - Fernandina Beach, Florida

Such a quaint restaurant from old Florida. It was a gas station they have put old porcelain tables/chairs, counters on walls to eat inside or wooden picnic tables outside under a rusting roof. BUT the food is good and fresh. I got a big fresh salad with a 6oz(?) piece of blackened mahi ($13) and my husband the ever famous hamburger combo! We both left very full and satisfied. Chances are you'll be called "hon" during your visit and the norm is to clear your own table when you're done. Only open breakfast/ lunch and usually lines to order at counter. read more

A hole in the wall, but one of my wife & I favorite breakfast spots. The loaded hash browns are out of this world! Ask for a side of sausage gravy to pour on top... you won't regret it! The staff know us by name & are always so pleasant. Quick, amazing service! read more

Pretty decent food. The Monday special was a fried fish plate which was pretty good except for the fries and tasteless coleslaw. Fries were unevenly cooked, some were limp and greasy and others were overcooked. We were there at Neighborhood Burger, breakfast and lunch place. Order at the counter and take out or eat inside or outside at the tables. The lunchtime line to order was long. I should have tried the burger, but I saw the fish plate go by and it looked really good. It was OK, especially the fish, but the fries were greasy and limp and the coleslaw was meh. Spouse had fried shrimp and onion rings. Shrimp were good, but onion rings were undercooked and clumped together. It was OK, but not what I expected from the Yelp reviews we read before going. read more

This was a serious, quality burger. Sure, it's in a renovated gas station. Actually, I've eaten a lot of great sandwiches in gas stations. There's a lot of kitshy ambience here. Totally a local place. The owner was walking around shaking hands, delivering food and making jokes while we eating. A local politician came in and did the same but I think the owner was more popular. Really good, bare bones, burgers. My dad got the fried shrimp place, and though it was good, the Crab Trap's version, which we had had a few days earlier was better. Oh, and the steak fries here were perfectly cooked. Definitely worth checking out, whether you're a local or a tourist. Though there's no sign, you'll know it by the giant burger above the door. read more

Typical greasy spoon. Stand in line. Maybe get greeted or not - who cares. Some of the reviews on here are crazy to me. The food is basic and rustic but filling and comforting if that's what you want. The pancakes were fluffy as were the large and buttery biscuits. The bacon was crispy on the edges and still slightly flabby in the middle - the best of both worlds. Yes, you may have to wipe your own table and bus it when you are done, but take this place for what it is - familiar food served fast and cheap. Definitely worth a quick stop if you like diner style breakfast and lunch. read more

My son and I had bacon cheeseburgers with fries and onion rings. Everything about this meal was 5-star, except for one thing that actually ruined the meal for me: the hamburger meat is laced with spices that left an unpleasant aftertaste. For myself, i'd give 3 stars, and I won't be going back. But I recognize that some people actually like flavored meat, so I think on average, other people would rate this 4 stars. read more

We stopped in this morning for a quick breakfast on our way to an excursion. This is a happening morning spot. Tons of people seemed to be picking up carry out orders.
