The food is amazing. The service is amazing. The fact that they've been open over 30+ years that means a lot. I recommend anyone that loves seafood to go there and partake of their phenomenal food. This is Jennifer approve this message! read more

Heard about the place via tik tok got the turkey neck and rice..... way too sweet !! Tender but sweet turkey necks ? Nawll. You can taste the garlic and the Cajun but the sweetness override the heat ...almost was tad bit salty I wouldn't order again read more

It was Friday and what's better than having fish for dinner. This is a great and old staple in the neighborhood of you buy we fry fish dinner and more. I picked out one whole catfish and a red fish (fillets) I also ordered their Monk rice ( their take on shrimp fried rice). But remember it's all cooked fresh and can take a while also they are cash only establishment. read more

T P Seafood - Grabbed fish dinner - Seafood Markets Near Me - Houston, Texas

They fry fish and all other seafood very well. My co workers religiously order from TP's every Friday.

TP's don't ever miss on the flavor. I recommend calling in to bypass the hood spectaculars. If the line is busy keep calling. Regardless of the presentation, it's safe to go and safe to eat. You have to experience the monk rice with shrimp! read more

What in ordered: Monk rice w jumbo shrimp Fried fish trout Walked in ordered I was given a number was told my food to be ready in about 15 minutes and it was food was super fresh. I feel like the rice should've had some type of sauce on it. The shrimp were very good. The fish was very good. they definitely cook everything to order. Please note it is in the hood and they only take cash. read more

Great fried catfish and shrimp. Gotta try out jumbo shrimp monk fried rice. Note this place is cash only.

I purchased fresh fish from here many times, and it was fried to perfection and seasoned just right. The location has been renovated and is clean. The wait may be a little long, but it's worth it. Note: They are a cash only store. read more

Cash only! Be ready. The monk fried rice and fried catfish/fried shrimp plate was great with huge portions and the price can't be beat for the quality. These 2 dishes literally fed me for 3 meals. I want to come back and try their shrimp boils and boudin. The seafood is definitely the star of the show. Their tartar sauce is from packets, and I'm a condiment fiend so usually this would be a turn off but the food is bomb enough on its own. read more

Excellent food and very reasonable. The lady that checked me out was very friendly and helpful. However it was in a very rough neighborhood and that's why I gave it a 4/5. read more

good seafood, fried to perfection, can be crowded at times, its a fish market not a dine in restaurant which usually make the best eateries.

For one , for someone like me a family of 7, I can feed my family ,it aloud us to eat out at least twice a week, not to mention the food is amazing as well as customer service. read more

Like a regular seafood market. Their catfish is the whole catfish being cooked. Don't like the scales on some of them but pretty good!

Came across this place and was super excited to try it due to the crowd i saw in the parking lot. The customer service was good and i love a hood spot however the food was mid the price was good only paid $10 but i don't know if i would go back read more

Wasn't able to order food through calling because line was very busy. Had to call multiple times but previously being there food is good.

Call ahead and bring cash, place is jumping!!...fresh and affordable. 3 n 3, three shrimp and three oysters, with fries or salad $7. Also, you can swap out the fries for double salad. read more

This place is a hidden gem. When you drive by , it doesn't look like much, but the food is incredible. The price is also very affordable. If you go, there will be a wait, but well worth it. read more

Food was good! I had 2 piece fish, all fried, an egg roll, & 2 boudin balls! Area is kinda sketchy but employees were nice, friendly, & personable! read more

Recently visited TP Seafood. Wanted to see what the rave was about on the monk rice. Man Y'all can keep that rice. Wasn't what I expected. However the oysters, shrimp and fish was too good Will go back. Minus the monk rice read more

Everything is always fresh the wait is worth it the price is very reasonable I go here once a month

The best in Houston buy the whole uncooked catfish and have them to cook it. No bones, bones to the side and order the monk rice the boiled shrimp is good. Also, the fried oysters are good as well. read more

This restaurant is legendary in the hood. They have been around for years and years. I've ordered food twice within two weeks both times the food was fresh and delicious. I ordered a pound of jumbo shrimp and had them fry it, it was slamming it comes with salad and fries. If you don't like orange dressing on your salad be sure to tell them no dressing. Other than that Tp's never disappoints. read more

In at least last 10 yrs. I have never had any issues with my food, I have been very happy with Shanora, the female manager from her previous engagement at CJ seafood on Lockwood,, and the tall well spoken gentleman all of which are always the very best at assisting and being pleasant.... However, they have hired some new help from someone named CJ who was rude, inconsiderate, and just a entire mess.. I called my order in and realized that the young lady had a hard time understanding the order ; which was a medium catfish, no skin, extra seasoning, fried hard, jumbo shrimp out of the fish casing, an additional salad and extra salad dressing on the side... I asked to speak to the tall gentleman. I never get his name and she was offended, so I went ahead and ordered with her and finding myself in a case of what I ordered, and what I received, which was: fried fish ", dry salads, and hard shrimp I live in Spring Texas and they wanted me to return the food today in order for them to fix my order so I'm supposed to drive 45 minutes across town for you to fix my order and be rude to me and lose money all in the same day.. Lucky for me I am associated with the right people and will use that to my advantage. CJ, my young friend, you will learn of a little lady named karma and she will teach you to humble yourself and that everyone is not your enemy and also you're not the only one with the day! To the owners, just hiring, anyone will cost you business. I have no problem with losing that $40 but you should because I'm a loyal customer and I want you to know I will take my money somewhere that considers me as a person with respect and integrity. So if you happen to just roll into this place, be sure to order with the well spoken tall gentleman, or the cute little lady of management, the rest of the staff is trash... Shanora, THEY NEED YOU BACK!!!! I will no longer be referring this place to my friends, family or associates. read more

I came from Los Angeles to see my dad and he recommended this place. I asked him if they accepted call in orders and he said "if you can get them to answer". Not only did that answer quickly, the gentleman taking my order was a complete character, he had me laughing from the time he answered until we hung up. He took my order thoroughly in his BEST customer service voice and made sure everything was accurate. Everything was amazing. Can't wait to go back to visit. read more

The food is awesome but I wanted 30 minutes for my food and it was cold ! It was a guy selling perfume in the restaurant.

If you want deliciousness go here and ask for the Munk Rice. This place is the go to for this dish that pays homage to a neighborhood legend of the past if I am Correct. It's a wonderful concoction and you need it in your life. One caveat...it's not available on Fridays so plan to get it on another day. I've had other dishes but Munk rice is why I come read more

The food is great here. It may not look like all that on the outside or inside but the chefs are great. I live in Jersey Village and I still come way out here to get fresh seafood. It's worth the drive. If you've never been here, you should give it a try. You will have to wait a while for your food because they are always busy but again it's worth the wait. read more

Meh. I've had better. Okay, but not great. This was a very average to below average meal. Catfish batter wasn't seasoned. Shrimp had way too much batter. Everything was on the blandish side of flavor town, with the exception of the fried boudin. Even though the fried boudin was really tasty, I wont unnecessarily go out of my way to return. read more

The food is really good for a You Buy We Fry place and it is close to work so it's a lunch time favorite for the office crew.

This food spot is one of the few remaining staples in this area. Always fresh and the recipe never deviates from what's you should expect and that's good seafood. Lastly they're easy on your pockets. Give em a shot if you're in the area. You won't regret it. read more

This place is cash only, update the info please. I drove here and they don't accept Apple Pay or card payments

This place is always crowded and only takes cash they seem to have no system and it is very hard to call in an order

This place is not known for its location, dine in experience or ambiance but you can't beat the price and food is very filling and satisfying. I, highly recommend the family meals for those, "don't want to cook" evenings. read more

Pretty good Not bad Not amazing But I guess good for the hood I do wanna come back n try that rice dish tho read more

The Monk Rice is the only reason i go but it is definitely a Craving. The wait time can be a little long if you dont call in your order ahead; the Shrimp were fresh with a great seasoning and the rice was just as good to top it off. There were a lot of onions & Green Onions so maybe ask them to go light if you are not a fan but in my opinion it tastes great. read more

It's been a minute since I've been to T P's, and let's just say it definitely could've been better. Monk rice and all!
