Very dark in the pedicure room. My nail person had a hard time communicating and didn't use enough coats to get the right color. I didn't discover that until later when I was in the light and my nails were done. My nail tech took great pride in detail except when it came to color. In the end one nail was the right color and the other 9 were way off. They did correct it after many communication issues. Would definitely not go there again. read more

I wouldn't say this was the best ever pedi but it wasn't the worst pedi ever. I had a gift certificate to use up so I did a walk in, they were happy to help and got me seated right away. The pedi area is very dark and the lady had to use a lamp to put the polish on and do everything which made me nervous it would be streaky but it wasn't. She did a great job taking care of the ingrown nail. They don't have much color options for gel. I picked out three different colors and all of them were empty bottles so I ended up with a Matte dark grey. They do have a sign that says please tip in cash but unfortunately I hadn't brought cash with me. Over all I probably won't be back. read more

After a year of not getting my nails done, I can into this place and was soooo disappointed. Pain was sloshed all over my hands and nail beds. She cut me while filing. I got a gel manicure on Monday and it lasted about two days before it started peeling off. I was able to get in Friday morning to ask them to remove it, which they offered to do, and offered me another manicure. Considering the gel manicure had only lasted 2 days, I thought this was kind, the right thing for them to do and accepted. Then they told me it would be $10 to remove the gel manicure plus the cost of the new manicure. Seriously was shocked that they wanted to charge me to remove the terrible manicure and did nothing to offer to actually make it right. They ended up removing the bad manicure for free after I expressed concern, but did not actually fix it. Will not return. read more

Stopped here on a whim one afternoon. They were extremely busy yet every time someone came in they said they could fit them in. One lady waiting in the pedi chair was sharing the same employee as another person getting a pedi so she must have waited 10 minutes in between each phase of her pedi...she looked annoyed...and I would be too. During my pedicure the lady kept trying to sell me a shellac pedi instead of the regular pedi. She asked me three different times and even tried to explain to me why it was better like I've never heard of it before. I don't mind it when someone offers me something but if I say "no thank you" once, I mean it...don't ask me three more times! And this was certainly a trend here...every person that came into the salon was pressured to do the shellac....this one poor lady was asked 5 times! My basic spa mani/pedi was nothing special, they didn't even file or shape my nails...and instead of it being a relaxing experience I was annoyed. I will never come back. read more

I went with my aunt and my friend. We got our polish and got sat right away! My aunt and friend got their person right away, and got their toes taken care of. I was a walk-in and they seated me right way. I told her I wanted acrylic and coffin shaped nails. She started, didn't clean my cuticles and the nails were uneven and not the same shape. I also asked them for a fade between pink and white but instead told me to pick a natural color and wouldn't do the fade. My boyfriend got a manicure but with out the polish--it was 20 dollars! Not worth it in my opinion. EDIT: I went in to have the nails evened out--which they did-- and was told that to have my cuticles cleaned was an additional $5. Disappointed that standard nail care is an additional cost at a nail salon. read more

I've been to many many nail salons and I must say, do your best to not come here. They really hustle the customers and overcharge them for mediocre work. Been to this place twice. First time was okay - they convinced me to get a gel manicure instead of my intended gel polish change. The guy did a decent job, so I decided to give this place another try. This time I was asked at least 6-7 times if I wanted a gel manicure instead gel polish change, and if I wanted a pedicure too.. I was presented two gel polishes - one opi and one cnd. The tech then said color okay? And picked the cnd. I didn't care. During the polish change, there were 4-5 flies that continuously flew around the nail salon. The tech applied two coats and proceeded to place the top coat. I had to stop her and say, ummmm the color is extremely uneven. She applied a third coat but the color job was subpar. During checkout, she charged me the whole manicure price. When I asked why, she said it was because I picked the cnd gel polish which is 5 dollars more expensive... They charged me $95 for a pedicure and gel manicure. If I had known gel was $20 extra I would never have done it. I'm almost in tears now because I feel like they totally cheated me. Work is subpar and their 'name brand' polishes are watered down with other products to make them "last longer." I got a gel manicure and polish has many dents and dings that they weren't willing to fix. Not to mention the staff talk in the their native language the entire time you're there and do not actively engage in conversation with you. I find this to be poor customer service and very rude. I had the best pedicure I've ever experienced! The lady massaged my feet for what seemed like 1/2 hour! It was fantastic! She used her knuckle to massage the deep muscles in the sole of my feet. Went in for a powder dip manicure. My friend wanted a French manicure, but they declined, wanting to do just a full color. The person who did my nails was critical of my color choice (too dark). She dipped my nails into the communal pot, which I've read is not hygienic. She rushed through, making me feel like I was just in the way of her next appointment. Once she did her thing she left me to dry and did not check in, although the friend I came with had her lady checking and making sure her nails were not sticking to her flesh. The inside decor was really lovely with lots of live plants however didn't think the service was good. My roommates and I went 2 hours before closing for a pedicure and a manicure. When we were using the nail dryers st the end, they allowed us to dry our nails for a few minutes and then asked us to leave so that they could close up. They still had an hour left until their posted close time. Our nails were not dry and my friend's nail smudged as soon as she tried putting her coat on. I have gone here twice for gel manicures on my fingernails and the first time they didn't last very long but my second time they lasted 4 weeks. Tho (can't remember how to spell her name) did my manicure the 2nd time and it was great. Gel polish is the only thing that lasts on my fingernails. I was a bit disappointed because I didn't want gel polish on my toes and ended up getting annoyed with them asking and asking so I just said whatever then. When they were first opened, I went to them all the time and it was great. But after a few years, they got very greedy. They started upcharging for services that I never booked, I would have sticker shock when it was time to pay. OR they would start arguing when I would say no to an upgrade service they offered (like spa pedicure, etc) and be very rude about it. Also, they started not honoring the appointment times and not by a few minutes. The last time I went there, and then left, I waited 45 minutes after my scheduled time and still was not in so I just left. They have really become demanding, unfriendly and hustlers. I will say their pedicures are very relaxing, but watch out because they will end up trying to charge you for a bunch of add-ons you never asked for or got. read more

My family came in for pedicures. We made an appointment and got right in. My daughter showed the design she wanted and was told they couldn't do that. Showed another design and told that is a sticker. Very condescending. She ended up with just polish and no design. They didn't remove my old clear polish. Painted over it. My daughters and I have been coming here for years, but I can honestly say I doubt we will be back. I came in with an idea for a cute fall pedicure and the technician basically laughed in my face and said it couldn't be done. When I asked for a recommendation all I received was "plain". So I asked about a design on the big toe which was a mistake. One toe looks like it has blobs of silver on it and the other toe looks okay, but definitely nothing near the fall design I envisioned. I will have to go somewhere else to have this redone. The technicians here have never been overly pleasant, but I have overlooked that in the past. I have been coming to Tu, the owner for 12years. It is always a treat and such a relaxing experience. I have since moved to Colorado and have not found a place there that is able to replicate this delightful experience. Unlike the other places, there is never a significant wait at T Nails. They always provide prompt, efficient, pleasant service. I still fly back to Minnesota regularly to have my nails done by Tu. No one does cuticles better than Tu! She is the absolute BEST! Went to this salon because a friend had a gift card. She got gel and I got acrylic. When we walked in, the lady asked what I wanted and when I told her acrylic, she immediately told me to get gel acrylics and that its only $55. Me being a poor college student, I politely declined and in exchange I received a glare and a look of disgust. I picked out a color and sat down. The lady was not friendly and in the process, she cut my hand, and while filing my nails, she was throwing my hand back and forth in every direction in an unpleasant and jerky motion. She didnt even cut my hangnails or cuticles. When she finally got to the polish, the job was uneven. She did not paint the sides of my nails and when I asked if we could fix a VERY uneven side, she threw a fit, did it, and then got up and left... She went into the back pedicure room and was laughing to another worker and staring and pointing at me. This was the WORSE customer service I have ever experienced and will not be back. I was in pure disgust the whole time I was here. I looked up the manager and turns out that the lady I had was the manager. horrible and humiliating on their part!!! read more

Completely disappointed in the service. My future mother in law and I went here as a "last resort" cuz there are not many nail places on the SE side of town. Immediately when we walked in they asked us what we wanted from across the room, practically yelling while doing peoples pedicures.. we told them pedicures.. and they said pick out our nail color very rudely.. we did. We proceeded to go to the pedicure side where all of the employees and customers were. They told my MIL to sit in a chair and started prepping for pedicure (adding water to basin etc), I was told to sit down 2 seats away from her but nothing else, assuming I would be getting my pedicure there I put my feet in the basin.. nobody came over or talked to me for 15 mins.. finally the guy told me to move over to the chair next to my MIL and he started adding water that had to be at least 150°, my feet were burning so much I had to take them out.. my MIL yelled for him to come over and fix it, he did. Him & the woman couldnt decide who was gonna work on whos feet between my MIL & I, finally after a few mins they sat down n started. As customers were coming in, one specific employee was pressuring customers to get the high end pedicure of course (for the profit) but everyone refused.. as soon as the customers refused, the lady walked away yelling in her language, you can only assume it was about the customers. The guy did a very nice job on my feet, even adding a flower to my big toes when asked ($5/per toe is a little steep tho). Only issue is he scuffed the nail polish off one of my toes and never fixed it. I gave him a $5 tip anyway but would NEVER EVER go back there. read more

The last time I was there, I was assigned a new person who could not communicate with me because she could not speak English. She rounded my nails too much and filed them down too short. The awesome color I picked out didn't cover my complete finger nail. I had to tell her to stop filing because she was trying to get both hands to look the same. Zero stars for the massage.
