But when Jennifer described the massage and extra care that came with the Deluxe Pedicure, I couldn't resist. I do a ridiculous amount of jump roping, so my legs take a beating and definitely loved the extra attention. My deepest apologies to Jennifer for whatever state my legs and feet were in when I arrived, but she completely rejuvenated them. The deluxe pedicure was a lifesaver, and my manicure is absolute perfection. The best part of the whole appointment, though, was Jennifer herself. I have an important wedding I'm attending, and one of my best friends agreed to get a pedicure with me. Should be fun! I called to see if they took appointments...they said they did. Cool! I'm used to it being walk in only, so seemed like a solid choice. ... We didn't get started until 40 minutes after our scheduled appointments. We are both on a budget, so selected the basic package. The instant my friend's tech sat down, she was rude and tried to upsell her to the more expensive gel nail set. My friend has sensitive feet and thin nails. So she politely kept turning down the upsell. At which point the tech got very rude and disengaged. Kept making unnecessary comments, and did a very shoddy job. By the way the basic package is 45 dollars. It was an unpleasant experience, and I would not recommend going to this salon to anyone, especially people I know and like. read more

This was an incredibly disappointing performance from a nail salon. I have an event on Saturday and thought I would see if they would take a walk in. Thankfully they did. It started off with them leading me to a chair and asking me to pick a color off an iPad- which I thought was incredibly weird considering screens can change the true color. I picked a sparkly purple and the nail tech pressured me into doing a darker color. Which ended up being fine overall. I did notice they had still all their Christmas decorations up which were dusty and sad looking. The over all vibe of the place as well was cluttered and had a very unkept feeling. I asked for a basic gel pedicure and the lady tried several times to pressure me into doing something more expensive. I had to firmly tell her no I wanted the basic. She started by filing the edges of my nails which was not comfortable and then while trimming and cutting the cuticles she dug in to the point I kicked and ended up tearing my pinkie nail on my left foot. She then proceeded to spray what I assume was sanitizer on it, which stung before she even tried to stop the bleeding. I had read what a basic gel pedicure included, which is what I did not end up receiving. She definitely was rushing through it when she just lightly rubbed scrub on my legs in one spot and then left it there while she painted my nails. She washed off the scrub and then proceeded to do the most lack luster leg massage. While at home I noticed the sloppy job she did painting. The polish doesn't go all the way to the edges, and is completely missing in spots. Unfortunately I live about an hour away otherwise I would go back and demand they redo them. I will not be going back. For the price I paid ($60! Not including tip) I would expect wayy better service. I should have just called my regular nail salon which would have been perfect and would have been cheaper. Do not recommend this nail salon at all! read more

Don't come here !!! Just moved to Rochester for new placement at the Mayo and decided to try out a nail salon to make my regular. I usually go with gel nails but I wanted to try how the salon does first. I opted for a regular manicure yesterday 7/22. Went in was directed to choosing color. The man who worked on me was friendly but didn't care too much about how my nails would turn out. Literally sloppy with coating. Started drying and in about 15 or so minutes he told me your done. I got up to pay and long behold nail wasn't dry. I would not have minded drying a bit more. So I had to redo the messed up nails again which leased to more sloppy nail polish application. In this process another person came in and was seated next to me for power dipped nails that came off in a few days. She was just as pissed off that she had to come back for a redo. As seen in photo this is how my nails look the following day 7/22. I understand it's just a regular manicure but for someone who normally spends quite a lot for normal nail maintenance this place simply did not care. I think everyone who goes for a manicure will agree it's not about going back and having to ask for things to be fixed as that's just a hassle. Disgusted. Rushed, area was unclean, nail tech literally CUT HER OWN NAILS in the middle of doing my nails. Her fingers were sticky and kept getting stuck to mine as she painted my nails. Came in with long nails, she rounded them and couldn't even get them even. I went with a friend for a pedicure two weeks ago. The experience was just ok. We did get a lot of pressure to upgrade our service and had to keep clarifying I just wanted a BASIC pedi with REGULAR polish. NO GEL! Also, not a relaxing environment. Then a few days ago I noticed the polish was chipping already, oh well. I decided to go get a color change and get it redone - thinking I just won't go back there. So in doing that, the polish would not come off! The owner at my regular shop asked if I had gel done...I said no! Well....the guy at Apache used gel polish BUT did not use the gel procedure - so no wonder it was chipping off! So much for a quick color change! Went and got my nails done for Christmas. I live over an hour away so I don't go to roch very often. The tech was really rough on my nail beds, kept trying to get me to do a waxing. I got a two tone, coffin shape mid length set with gel polish on top, I was charged 70$ for a set that I'd usually pay 35$ for any where else. They started falling off in less then a week and the first nail completely fell off after a week and a day. I was in roch for a doctor appointment so I went back to get my money back and all they offered me was a gift card. DO NOT GO HERE!! My nails look terrible!!!! If I could give them zero stars I would!!! Apache Nails has great reviews so I went there. I live in Pine Island. I got pink and white acrylic and ended up with a million bubbles in my nails (I guess a few is normal, but I wasn't even told that). They told me they could "cover up the bubbles" by painting the white over the tips. So they did. Less than 2 days later the whites of my nails were turning brown and yellow. I hadn't done any cleaning or moving and they looked terrible. I called and asked to come in and have them fixed, they said they would. Their next fix was to paint color over the top because it would last longer. I told them I didn't want just paint like a regular manicure that would chip off. If I wanted anything else I could pay $15+ more. I told them I'm not paying anymore money, I'd been in 3 times to have my nails done. What a disappointment. I waffled between giving the salon a 3 or 4 star rating and ended up giving them 3 stars. I bought a mani/pedi. The pedi was the better of the two. The man was very thorough and the leg massage was nice and nice massage chairs. However, the man was a bit rough. He cut drew blood when trimming a cuticle on my toe and again when trimming a cuticle on my a finger. The hot wraps were really hot.... With respect to the manicure, it was OK, but the man who did the pedicure started the manicure didn't reall do a good job filing my nails and he took another customer in the middle of the manicure and another woman took over. I came here to have acrylic nails applied and left with the worst set I've ever had...most expensive, too. Each of my nails has something wrong with it- some are crooked, some are lumpy, some are very thick, some are not fully polished. When I expressed that I was displeased (which I did multiple times) I was assured they'd be fixed. They're much longer than I asked for and the color is not the one I picked out. At the end, I was astounded when she told me it'd be $45 and when I disagreed with the price for the quality of work, I was treated like a criminal for asking for a discount. In the end, I paid full price, but when I asked for change, I didn't receive any. I will not be returning to this establishment! UPDATE: On March 10, 2017, I returned to Apache Nails as the manager, Sam, contacted me through Yelp to offer me a new set of nails to make up for the terrible ones I received last time. The nails Sam designed for me are far better than the last nails I received at this establishment, and I left pretty happy with the nails themselves. What I wasn't happy with, however, is the number of times Sam 'reminded' me to change my Yelp review. I was already planning on deleting my old review and writing a new one, however, I was told 3 times that I needed to change it and that my review made the store look bad. So here is my updated review that they wanted so badly. I will still never return to this establishment to pay $50 for a set of nails that are less than stellar. Nor do I appreciate how I was told I had to change my review to make them look better. I drove 45 minutes out of my way for them to make it right, and left with a bad taste in my mouth yet again. I have chosen to leave my first review to give an honest depiction of my entire experience at Apache Nails. Update 2: In response to the comment left on my review, I resent being called a liar and you saying I only am looking for a discount. I have NEVER asked for a discount at any other salon in my life and I would have been happy to pay full price for the first set of nails had they been what I asked for, or even a decent set of nails. I was nothing but polite and agreeable when getting my nails done, both times. I was not picky and only asked your nail tech to straighten the fingers she left crooked. She didn't. Sam did ask me three times to change my review, which I was already planning to do. I never said you were rude in your text message to me, and it's still in my inbox, so if you feel like posting screenshots, fine. But they're no use to me. I'd be happy to post photos of both sets of nails so that everybody can see the work that was done both times. Your nail tech did NOT give me change for a $50, so yes. I was charged $50 for a set of ugly nails. As far as messing up your entire schedule, I scheduled my appointment for 6:30 on the 10th. I was absolutely not 30 minutes late. I arrived at 6:33 after looking for a parking space. If anybody is telling lies in this situation, it's you. I was in contact with you multiple times letting you know that the reason I hadn't been able to schedule for two weeks was because I was out of town for Spring Break and then I was sick. I also live 45 minutes away, as I mentioned, and am not able to make that drive except for on the weekends. I appreciate you fixing my nails but I absolutely do not appreciate being lied about and slandered on social media. How unprofessional. read more

I went to Apache looking for a dip manicure, and not only was it not the color I wanted but the top coat they put on was not gel. I had to tell them to put a gel top coat on, when most places it's just part of the manicure! Then they explained to me why they don't do gel top coats for dip, but I already had told them I did and I didn't want the explanation. Now it's 4 days later and the manicure that should normally last for 3 weeks is ALREADY CHIPPING. That's $50 down the drain, and now I have to go somewhere else to get them redone. The girl who did my pedicure was very gentle, kindly. She invited me something to drink, she put me sleep while doing my pedicure. I got regular pedicure but it was far from regular.
