Leo has a very calm and confident temperament which can be extremely useful when you are going through switching hell and getting all the steps taken care of. Pro tip - call and ask him to give you a list of every type of documentation you'll need to bring in before you transition. Keep in mind, you can't get payout on the spot for your phone - you have to cancel it with current provider, get quote off your CURRENT BILL. A task that I began online and over the phone that became impossible by the lack of cooperation demonstrated by my prior carrier. Poor customer service. Walked in to get a phone upgrade. Two staff were busy with other customers and 3 were free just chatting amongst each other. I went to look at the newer phones for 5 min...then ended up having to approach them and one asked "would u like some help?" *clearly I'll need assistance if I were to buy something* so I said "yes I'd like some help"....Other person responded saying what's the issue? ...even in conversation the guy was on his own phone and still taking with the other staff. 2 years ago I signed up for Sprint because I was dissatisfied with my AT&T services. As we know, T-Mobile acquired Sprint and now I needed to go to a T-Mobile store to have my SIM card updated. I was also curious about upgrading to a new iPhone 12 Pro. Because of Covid customers had to wait by the door to be allowed in. I was greeted by Jacque (I hope I got the spelling right), the store manager and kindly welcomed and greeted. She listened to all of my mobile phone needs and was happy to explain everything to me. Moises was another T-Mobile sales rep who helped me set up my new iPhone 12 Pro phone. He too was very friendly and helpful. My transition from Sprint to T-Mobile was easy. My husband and I just purchased two IPhone SE's and needed to transfer our carrier from Sprint to T- Mobile. We made an appointment online with the store at 490 El Camino Real in Redwood City, Arriving at 11AM, we had zero wait to get someone to help us. After our experience, we felt very lucky to have gotten Monika. We could tell right away that she was experienced and knew what she was doing. Monika did all the work including changing the SIM card, and calling T-Mobile to tell them exactly what we wanted. She then tested the phones several different ways to make sure everything was working correctly. We never felt rushed and including time to answer our questions, were in and out in less than 40 minutes. Immediately (even with a few other customers in line), I was pleasantly greeted by a couple of the store associates. After sharing my inquiry, David and Juan were quick to offer assistance. After years of AT&T I must have had Stockholm Syndrome or something because I was afraid to switch even though I knew T-Mobile was better in every way I needed. I finally made the move, and has been a great improvement to my life. Most importantly, when traveling there is no more worry about roaming costs or needing to search out wifi location! I have been a customer with T-mobile for approximately 13 years. In March 2021 I acquired the Galaxy S21 due to a promotional trade in of my Galaxy S10. Well, after speaking with the customer service representative for over an hour I was informed my bill would amount to 75.00 a month along with me being placed in the Jump Program. I just received a message stating my bill now will be $116.00 a month because, " I did not qualify for the Jump Program because, my phone was not paid off. None of this information was given to me until I contacted the agent regarding my bill and, now I am told there is nothing they can do about this. Since tmobile acquired these merges it seems as though they are gouging people for money. I am on a fixed income and, before I received this phone I informed the agent that I could not afford a $100.00 a month bill. In my opinion this is poor customer service and false advertising. Don't sign up with tmobile and their gimmicks because you are going to be screwed at the end. At this time I give them 1 Star and, if I could they would get a half of a star. Ripping off the senior citizens is tasteless. There is no fine print it's just telephone bs on a so call recorded line that's not available when you ask for them to research the call using the recorded line. read more

If you are looking for customer service, this is not the store to go to. Walk in and everyone will be busy with another customer for at least 15 minutes and won't even acknowledge that you are there. No one is helpful in this store and doesn't know how to get the information you are looking for. They will try to put you in touch with the 611 hotline, which will basically run you in circles as well. T-mobile overall has not been good if you are considering switching phone carriers. I have been with them for 9 months, have been paying for unlimited internet, text, and phone service and have been pretty dissatisfied. I am hoping they can get their act together because I am trapped in a contract for another year and 3 months. This review is mostly for T-Mobile and their stupid rules! I got a new phone that I ordered online. Needed to get a microsim in order to use the phone. I called and they said that if I come in they can just do it for free, but in order to change it from microsim to regular sim (if needed in the future) then it will be $5. I thought, thats awesome free! So I go in. I tell the dude what I need. And he said, okay can I have the primary's phone number? I said sure I stated my phone number, and my name. He said you're the primary phone number but not the primary. I said I know, my sister is. He said well I can't do anything for you then. I said, "eh why?" He said, bc he I'm not the primary. I said, I know my sister's last four of ss, if you need it. He said no, I can't. But you can call over the phone and do it. !!!!!! Really? Can they see my freaking face over the phone? No they can't. This review is from pre-Corona times. I walked in the store and stood there for a few minutes waiting for five sales associates to finish watching a video on one of the sales guy's phone. At some point they saw me standing there, but continued watching whatever they were watching. I guess it was something funny because when video stopped they were all laughing. Watching other people laugh does not irritate me, but what irritated me that they did not rush to me apologizing. They all made a few comments about the video which took them another minute or so. Let's face it, phone stores are not the most enjoyable of shopping locations; the time necessary to find the phone, then the time necessary to transfer everything and set everything up just kills. Still, Moises and Mena made it as painless as possible. We bought two phones - one we already knew about, one Moises helped pick once he heard the requirements - and he really did base his recommendations on my past phone/tablet preferences and current requirements. He and Mena made sure we got everything we needed and kept us entertained while we were standing around waiting for the computers to figure everything out. My family and i decided to move from Verizon to T-Mobile few years back. We went to this store and we were helped by a young lady. I asked the employee if my Verizon Moto G7 would be comparable to work with T-Mobile! She replied" ohh yeah off course". We made the switch. Ten minutes later, I stopped getting text, calls and my text would take 30 minutes to be sent. I gave it a day. Next day I stopped by the store and asked if the lady who helped us was working. An employee said no. I explained to the employee what was happening. He looked it and helped BUT he mentioned this" I am Sorry, but I don't think your Verizon Moto G7 is comparable to work with T-mobile" I said that is not what the lady told me yesterday. "He answered she shouldn't have said that without checking it". He changed the slim card and told me to give a day to see. It didn't work. I decided to stop by at another T-Mobile store and another employee told the same thing" Sorry, But i don't think your Verizon Moto G7 is comparable to work with T-mobile. I went back to the store we made the switch and the lady was working again. I explained to another employee and asked what could T-mobile do for me, cuz we were paying for three lines but only two lines were working like it should. He said Sorry man the manager is not here and there is nothing I can do for you. I said well, T-Mobile will keep charging for three lines but we are only using two. I personally regret switching to T-Mobile, cuz i think the employee lied to me. T-mobile should provide me with a new phone but the times I stopped by to talk with the lady who helped us she was never there and manager was never there. I just have to give a shout out to the EXCELLENT sales professional, Dilcia, at this TMobile location. She went above and beyond the call of duty to make sure that I had all my photos and videos and apps transferred to my new phone which took a really long time and required her missing her lunch. She is awesome at multi-tasking because she still helped other customers while the process was happening. I had A LOT of photos and apps on my phone. She brought me a stool and some water and after that was all done she even found the perfect screen protector and put it on so nicely (that task always make me nervous, so I really appreciated that).
