I'm compelled to relate my experience at the T-Moble store in Manahawkin NJ. Rarely does one deal with product misrepresentation, unethical business practice and condescending customer service. The notable highlights of my week dealing with this business beginning February 7. The store manager sold me a phone but said I had to take a free apple as well. She failed to disclose watch line charges of $26 per month, telling me it was free. Without my permission or knowledge added premium insurance to my phone. When my bill increase $50 she told me it was due to mid month plan changes. T-Mobile said the increase was due to the unscrupulously added fees. T-Mobile told me to return the watch. Your manager told me restocking was $75 however T-Mobile said it should be $20. When prompted to speak with T-Mobile the manager ran into a closet and said she was in a meeting. Initially smiling and pleasant, when caught in the lies her attitude was rude and condescending. The company T-Mobile team always provides outstanding service however you really need to review 3rd party performance which as you can see is abysmal. read more

This location by far is the absolute worst. There used to be a wonderful crew there but they've all been relocated to new locations and I'm so sorry that that happened because what is going on at that store now is terrible. I was there to upgrade my phone and my daughter's phone and the so-called manager claimed that she could save me a bunch of money but by doing that she made me lose some of my services and also told me that I had to take two tablets which I would never use. After investigating the new plan, I did switch back to the old plan and returned the tablets to the store and she told me that I was making a mistake. I also asked her when I got my daughter's phone, who is away at school so I will be bringing it to her to complete her transfer, if it was the exact same storage and she told me yes only to find out that it was not and the hoops we had to go through to get the correct phone sent to us was insane. If you need someone that is knowledgeable to complete any business at T-Mobile, I would suggest not going to the one in Manahawkin. read more

Hi.. My husband and I had an extremely disturbing experience at the t mobile on west bay avenue in Barnegat, New Jersey.. We were due for an upgrade regarding our two phones.. My husband was extremely clear in stating that he did not want to pay for the phones.There is a salesperson that works there.Her name is Ciara... According to the plan that we had and what we were going to be receiving, she 100% reassured My husband that he was in no way responsible for purchasing any of the phones that we received.He asked her repeatedly several times making sure that she understood that we are not paying for the new phones.She told my husband absolutely not.You're not paying for any phones.You're not responsible so on And so forth.. We have been having nothing but problems with our bill being charged An outrageous amount, each and every month. So my husband inquired, called up T-Mobile several times then went into the T-Mobile store, spoke to Ciara about this. And she insisted that a lot of people are having problems with their bill blah blah blah. And don't worry, it'll be corrected. This is what she said to us also T-Mobile when my husband called them directly said the same thing.. but we ended up finding out that we are being charged to purchase one phone after he repeatedly asked that salesperson Ciara okay, so we're not responsible for payment on any phone rt?.I'm getting the phones for free.And she said, yes, absolutely the phones are free.The both phones are free.. now We find out that we're responsible to pay over a thousand dollars for 1 of the phones.. This behavior and so called experience that she supposedly has is not acceptable!!.So how would you like to walk in a store and have this happen to you? We were lied to blatantly...we were totally deceived by this employee and we are going to be going further with this.. My husband spoke to her at least 3 times and she reassured us. This was going to be taken care of..I don't know who hired her, but you need to do a little more research on your employees, because she openly lied about us being responsible for the phones. I recommend whoever reads this And whoever Wanted to go to the T-Mobile in Barnegat On west Bay Avenue, you better think twice about it. Because the incompetent level Is off the charts.. One way or the other this will be rectified.. If I could give a lower rating than 1, I would!! read more

On Wednesday, 2/3, I woke up to find that my phone had a "No Sim - No Service", even though it was perfectly fine when I went to bed. I'm not one to play around with things when I'm not confident with what I'm doing. I decided to go to T-Mobile and have them look at it. The sales rep took a look and found that my phone had no Sim Card. She got a new one and put it into my phone. She adjusted a few settings and I left there thinking the phone was good to go. I also got an email from T-Mobile confirming that I was ready to go with the new card. When I got home I started to check it out. I had use of my email, and some apps, but I was unable to make or get any text messages or phone calls. After a few calls to T-Mobile support they wanted to send me a code to prove my identity, but it's hard to get a code when your phone service isn't working. After a while, I decided to go back to T-Mobile. Another guy tried to help me deal with Customer Support again, but same thing, and same problem. I went another repair place else this morning, but because my Sim card was locked they weren't able to help. I was told that is the only thing for a phone that they don't handle, and now I know exactly why!!! He recommended that I try T-Mobile, in Manahawkin. He spoke highly of them, so I went right over there. I am so glad I took his advice. Upon my arrival, I was greeted by Amanda, and her manager, Raeann. They are two amazing, smart women that know how to get a job done. Every step along the way, we were getting unwelcome news regarding unlocking my existing Sim, but that didn't stop them. Raeann came up with a plan and Amanda did all the phone work with multiple representatives, and FINALLY my phone was working again. I can't express enough appreciation, respect, and thanks for what these amazing women were able to accomplish on my behalf today. What they did in 2 hours was a miracle. They truly worked so hard for me, I couldn't thank them enough. I am so grateful that they were the ones that were there when I walked in there today!!! I have been in tears over this experience for the last hour. How the "manager" Amber at this store treated me, is something in my 37 years of living I have never experienced. I have been with T-Mobile for 7 years and am currently sitting in Verizon with makeup running down my face switching services. Yesterday, I brought my sons iphone 11 into the manahawkin store since suddenly his phone was not allowing ANY internet use over data and work Amber looked into her system to see if it was, as she said, "blocked" , but since it was not, there was nothing she could do for me. My son was getting ready for an overnight school trip so I needed to have a phone for him ASAP. Against my better judgement and being told this internal issue wouldn't even be covered by insurance, I purchased the $800 iPhone 12. The store was closing so we left... when my son and I got into the car, we realized the brand new phone also did not have internet access via wifi or data. At this point, beyond nervous and frustrated I saw the Barnegat store was open until 8 (an hour later then manahawkin) they simply advised me to plug my sons old phone, the iPhone 11, into our PC, sync to iTunes, restore phone and create new Apple ID (took this lovely rep 2 minutes to explain to me, she was not a manager) I did just this, and his old iphone 11 was like brand new. Today, may 17th at 2pm, less then 24 hours after being told the only way my son would have a phone is if I purchased a new one, I went to manahawkin to return the iPhone 12. Amber was there again, told me I would get $10 back??????? Literally TEN DOLLARS- yes $10.... I asked why, how, what can we do, I was told to call customer service! I'm still speechless- I feel robbed, taking advantage of, disrespected, little... like my money, feelings meant a nothing! Now, T-Mobile customer service did advise they will do an internal investigation on Amber, still, please please please evaluate your employees before this happens to someone else. T-Mobile customer service gave me the new phone for $200, so they did in fact help me...still, she should provide customer service when a customer is in tears! I spent 8 hours- and money I didn't have so I could keep my son safe and in return was basically given the finger read more

My daughter and I went to the Tmobile location in manahawkin on 1/9/21 to get a new phone for my kids 18th bday. Miguelina was the rep that helped us and she was the most amazing sales person that has ever worked with me in my life. She helped us with all our needs and even moved all the info from the old phone to the new. The hour it took to complete the process went by so fast because of Miguelina's personality. Melissa was working as well and she just added to our amazing visit to the store. Thanks to whoever hired the both of them. I really hope that one of the bosses over at Tmoble sees this and give both of those young ladies a raise. read more

Not only did he answer all of our questions and help us make the transition from Verizon to T-Mobile very easy, but he also stayed late to finish everything up.
