Because of that, customers were told to come back today if they wanted a chance at getting the products. Today, September 18th there was a huge line of people outside the store, with some people waiting for over two hours because they were expecting the product to be available based on the information this Best Buy had given us. Apparently, the sign was taken down later on Wednesday September 16th and the products were released anyway. There was no clear communication to customers that the release date had changed. The most frustrating part is that nobody came outside to tell us there was no product until about 10 minutes before the store opened. So people stood outside for hours only to be told at the last minute that there was nothing to sell. I understand that popular Pokémon products sell out. That's not really what I'm upset about. What is upsetting is the way this was handled. Best Buy gave customers a specific date, changed the release without properly communicating it, and then allowed a large group of customers to stand outside for hours without telling them there wasn't any product. That's a pretty terrible way to treat your customers, especially for something that Best Buy itself advertised. I hope Best Buy actually looks into what happened at this location. Customers shouldn't have to waste two or three hours of their time because the store can't properly communicate its own release information.
