I finally called in GCR Building Solutions, 520-975-7789 (the owner is James D. Gaul) he and his crew came out and sanded the parapets, placed a lining material, stuccoed and than painted the stucco. He also used a thick material on all the cracking in the flat part of the roof and assured me I should be good for a few more years. His prices were extremely reasonable and he warrants his work. Mr. Gaul is a licensed and bonded general contractor, however, he does all types of jobs and I will be calling him in the future for any other issues I'm experiencing or improvements I wish to make! So we took our business to Southwest Kitchen & Bath. From the beginning what was clear was the high quality of their cabinetry and kitchen systems. Zoe, our designer, came up with a gorgeous plan and was happy to work with our ideas. She created a beautiful kitchen design that exceeded our dreams. Donald, the owner, has a long background in construction, as well as creative vision. Kudos to Donald for twice resolving issues that other contractors said would be impossible. His focus is on making things right, and he does it with genuine caring. Colleen was immediately responsive with hardware ordering and kept the to-do list for our home front and center. Special thanks to Zoe, too, for coming up with a plan to modernize our bathrooms and hall closets in a way that was easy on the budget. With Southwest Kitchen & Bath, we had the full package of expertise, design knowhow and responsiveness. We take a breath now, every time we walk into the kitchen. It looks that gorgeous.

If you're expecting dedicated staff who pay attention to detail, you won't find it here. If you're looking for a company that prioritizes your best interests, I'd advise moving on. The idea that a small kitchen should be measured properly and completed within a reasonable timeframe is simply not part of their approach. If you want your kitchen to be the heart of your home without exceeding timelines and budgets, avoid this business. The prices are some of the most inflated prices in the local area - You can find better prices, business ethics, and much more competent employees with other companies in Tucson. Over the course of 8 months, there were constant staff changes--people were fired, reassigned, many people quit and the new hire PM was completely unprepared and had zero clue what she was talking about. So my designer got fired, I went through 2 different construction managers, four installers and the incompetent PM. While the owner himself handled a portion of the cabinet installation and was detailed in his work, that's where the positives ended. To make matters worse, I was required to pay 90% of the cabinet price three months before they even began making the necessary repairs and replacements. After the holidays I was contacted to pay the remaining 10% because they are in need of money for the business and I told them that I wasn't going to pay until the job was 100% complete. Also on the website it states "in business for 22 years." This is very misleading because the owner has only had the company for 3 years with only the name of the company being around for 22 years. Who does business like that? This company--Southwest Kitchen & Bath-- Is going to go out of business soon, and this business is one to avoid!!
