I haven't gotten my nails done in a long time however I had gone quite frequently in the past to an amazing nail technician and place. One - it's very cold in there. Not too pleasant when you're sitting there for nails, and wearing fairly warm shoes. Two - the "quick dry" spray doesn't dry. Not to put your coat on isn't an option in the winter in New England. Having a place to dry your nails needs to be in place or atleast communicating to your client just sit here for x more minutes then we can check them. And lastly a smooth looking nail is expected when you pay for nails. I do my nails all the time at home the only different is that smooth finish you hope to achieve by a nail technician. The simple nail art did come out beautiful. Honestly, the salon itself is a no for me altogether with a less than average experience. I don't recommend it. I can be more specific of other issues but I honestly don't like leaving these kinds of reviews. I think the salon owner needs to pay more attention to details while there are far too many nail salons to choose from that capitalize on one of these issues. She was not Vi ,I wasn't there for anything too fancy; a gel French manicure for a wedding I was in. The women was very nice and meticulously made sure my nails matched perfectly before having them go under the light. Unfortunately, I don't think I'll ever be back. I wish I could give 4 or 5 stars but the lack of cleanliness and professionalism was appalling in my eyes. The first thing I noticed was the lack of cleaning equipment for the tools they had, no sterilization equipment that I could easily see, when I went to wash my hands I saw all the equipment piled in a bucket, exactly where my nail person went to grab what she was using on me. It was a bit nerving but there was no point leaving considering the fact that I already had my cuticles cleaned and tools were already used. Also the uv lights look like they never have been cleaned with a bunch of previous clients nail polish stuck on. The floor was dirty things were all over the place. A friend of my recommended them or I would have just turned around... Next time I will just judge the book by the cover. The next thing that irked me was the fact that 4 people walked in looking to have their nails done and the person whom I'm assuming is Vi told them it will be a 4 hour wait... I had square nails that I wanted to make more of a rounded shape. I showed her a picture of what I was looking for, and that's what I left with. I've already made my next appointment. I dont leave many negative reviews except where they are deserved! My daughter had her nails filled…read more7 days ago for her birthday. Cost $60 which is average rate so no complaining there. But she came home and said one nail had a crack in it and one of her designs she paid for was smudged. Being only 14 she didnt speak up at the time. Within 5 days of getting them done the cracked nail broke right at the crack and she lost another nail in addition. Now 2 nails off within 1 week I contacted the salon since this was her first time trying this place because our normal location was closed. The woman who answered stated loosing 2 nails in a week is normal and would be $5 each to repair. I denied wanting to make an appointment to repair because I have NEVER lost a nail within 5 days of havng mine done and I will just go back to my normal salon. She said "thats fine". So clearly she didnt care about customer service.
