This nail salon has been consistently well priced and has a large selection of colors or nail styles. I see Chanthy and she is amazing! my absolute favorite. They always squeeze me in whether busy or closing soon I get such great work done

Well, I went there and I was not attended to at the desk. It was very chaotic to say the least. Once I was attended to, I was getting a refill, the worker proceeded to RIP off my nail that needed to be fix. She then plucked at my natural nails with clippers and made me bleed. She then put glue in my wound and drilled the rest of my nail. I explained to her multiple times it hurt and she continued. My nails are now uneven and I can see blood through them. I DO NOT recommend this business. I was horrified at the lack of professionalism.

They cut my toe! Absolutely HORRENDOUS experience! When I pointed out that I was bleeding to the man who did my pedicure, a woman came over, took a tiny bottle out of a drawer and put some substance on my toe that stung! I said "what did you just put on me??" She stated "it stops the bleeding". I then said I wasn't going to pay for the pedicure because I was bleeding and the man bent down in front of me with a bottle of nail polish remover and cotton balls. He started reaching for my toes and I asked "what are you doing to me??" He stated "no pay, no polish" while attempting to remove my toe nail polish! I kept backing up and he continued to attempt to remove my nail polish. I told him to stop touching me and insisted he leave me alone. I was HORRIFIED! As you can see from the picture, not only did they cut my toe, but the rest of my toe is very red there is dry skin all over my cuticles. I took this picture as soon as I got home from the pedicure (if you can call it that) - my feet should NOT look like that after a pedicure. It was an horrible experience. Plus I had a 5:45 appointment and I sat in the chair until 6:17 before they began my pedicure! I wish NEGATIVE stars was an option on here. Do not EVER go here!

I haven't been to a nail salon in quite some time, but I am going on a trip this weekend & decided last minute to get a manicure. I walked in on a Tuesday afternoon (5pm) and there was one other customer getting a pedicure. I asked for a gel manicure and was immediately attended to. The woman showed me where the choices were for gel polish and after I picked which ones I wanted she started right away. The process was fast, I spent a total of 45 min in the salon from the second I stepped inside to the time I walked out. I was happy that I didn't have to wait and that I wasn't there long, although I am aware that a Tuesday afternoon is not the busiest time for a nail salon. The woman who attended to me was nice and good at her job, both pluses in my book. There were 2 very minor issues that combined are the reasons I gave a 4 out of 5 stars. The first was the ambiance. The place did not seem like the cleanest of places; not so much that it was gross or dirty, just like it could have used a coat of paint and maybe some deep scrubbing. Something like that would have made the place more presentable, but I could just be a stickler for those sorts of things. The second thing was the finish on my nails. The very, absolute tip of my nails was not polished. Barely noticeable unless you are staring at my nails as I point out the spots. But it was enough for me to keep it in the back of my mind. It is a gel manicure & I have never had one before (I used to get acrylic nails years ago) so maybe they just end up that way. But nothing so serious that I wouldn't go back. I will just pay closer attention next time and see if it can be don differently. I paid $20 for the gel manicure, don't know if that is expensive but I didn't mind paying it. I will be back and see if the service/nail finish/ambiance changes at all.

Nail polish ALL over my cuticles! Never mind it took the first woman 20 minutes just to cut my cuticles!

Absolutely disgusted by the way I was treated. I highly recommend going somewhere else. Don't waste your time or your money.

I haven't gotten my nails done in a long time however I had gone quite frequently in the past to an amazing nail technician and place. One - it's very cold in there. Not too pleasant when you're sitting there for nails, and wearing fairly warm shoes. Two - the "quick dry" spray doesn't dry. Not to put your coat on isn't an option in the winter in New England. Having a place to dry your nails needs to be in place or atleast communicating to your client just sit here for x more minutes then we can check them. And lastly a smooth looking nail is expected when you pay for nails. I do my nails all the time at home the only different is that smooth finish you hope to achieve by a nail technician. The simple nail art did come out beautiful. Honestly, the salon itself is a no for me altogether with a less than average experience. I don't recommend it. I can be more specific of other issues but I honestly don't like leaving these kinds of reviews. I think the salon owner needs to pay more attention to details while there are far too many nail salons to choose from that capitalize on one of these issues. Maybe it was a bad first experience but i won't be returning.

Kay proceeded to give me the worst pedicure and manicure I've ever had. She sanded my nails and cut off my cuticles without asking. She left a huge cut on my pinky toe, and did not even stop to clean or disinfect it. On the manicure, she cut five of my fingers, leaving them red and puffy. None of the tools are sanitized despite what the owner might say, and Kay wiped my fingers off with a dirty rag and her ungloved hand. I went back the next day after my toe was in complete pain due to Kay cutting too deeply into my skin. The owner had asked me to come in to "make things right", but all she did was yell at me and tell me to go see a doctor if it hurts that bad. She offered me 15% off my next visit, but I told her I wanted a refund. Ni, the owner, lied to me at first telling me that she was the manager and that the owner wasn't there. She told me that everything is clean, even though I clearly saw the same equipment being used on multiple clients without sanitizing. She would not give me a refund, even after looking at my toe. She said to "go see a doctor" and "wear open-toed shoes". She told me if I wanted money back, to ask Kay for the tip I gave her. She kept saying "this is a shitty business right?", to mock me for something I never claimed. I told her I was not leaving until I received my money back, and she threatened to call the police... all while she was doing some lady's nails. The State of Connecticut does not require licensing for nail technicians, so most of the staff have no proper training or certification for nails. They don't know how to properly sanitize used equipment, and use illegal procedures like "callus graters" on the bottoms of people's feet, risking infection and disease. I have never been to a more unprofessional, disgusting, and absolutely rude business in my life. All I wanted was my money back for a poor job, and what I was given was complete disrespect.
