The nail tech, Kay, had no idea what she was doing. They left the water running at first, making a big mess as it spilled out of the pedicure tub. Kay proceeded to give me the worst pedicure and manicure I've ever had. She sanded my nails and cut off my cuticles without asking. She left a huge cut on my pinky toe, and did not even stop to clean or disinfect it. On the manicure, she cut five of my fingers, leaving them red and puffy. None of the tools are sanitized despite what the owner might say, and Kay wiped my fingers off with a dirty rag and her ungloved hand. I went back the next day after my toe was in complete pain due to Kay cutting too deeply into my skin. The owner had asked me to come in to "make things right", but all she did was yell at me and tell me to go see a doctor if it hurts that bad. She offered me 15% off my next visit, but I told her I wanted a refund. Ni, the owner, lied to me at first telling me that she was the manager and that the owner wasn't there. She told me that everything is clean, even though I clearly saw the same equipment being used on multiple clients without sanitizing. She would not give me a refund, even after looking at my toe. She said to "go see a doctor" and "wear open-toed shoes". She told me if I wanted money back, to ask Kay for the tip I gave her. She kept saying "this is a shitty business right?", to mock me for something I never claimed. I told her I was not leaving until I received my money back, and she threatened to call the police... all while she was doing some lady's nails. The State of Connecticut does not require licensing for nail technicians, so most of the staff have no proper training or certification for nails. They don't know how to properly sanitize used equipment, and use illegal procedures like "callus graters" on the bottoms of people's feet, risking infection and disease. I have never been to a more unprofessional, disgusting, and absolutely rude business in my life. All I wanted was my money back for a poor job, and what I was given was complete disrespect. read more

I've been to Diva nails many times over the years & love Ni Lee, however my last visit entailed a young male tech who was late for work, had a dirty table & hands/appearance (including black in his nails), hit the skin in my hand with the electric mail file bc he was careless ( I almost bled), complained about the design I wanted in my nails & argued with me about it, & in the end slabbed oil over my hands completely missing my nails obviously purposely. Went to Diva Nail Spa for a gel manicure because I happened to be at the mall. I'm so disappointed! This is a picture of what my nails look like 3 days after. Notice the clear coat has peeled off of 2 of the nails. Also, my middle finger has 2 coats of red, while the remaining 4 fingers only have 1 coat. I even questioned if there were 2 coats put on because I didn't remember the technician doing it. The woman who did my nails was more worried about making tip than the quality of the service she was providing. My nails are spotty, my toe nails are too short, kind of hurt actually. She used a drill on my toe nails that hurt. The implements didn't look all that clean. I understand it being a busy place but the service being provided should have been of good quality, I was not going to pay at all when she said $76 for a total. I will no longer go here. I get charged different prices by the nail techs literally every time I go in. They do add ons and don't tell you. I go here normally 1 to 3 times a month but after tonight no more. The sign said gel pedi $38, gel mani $28 so I got both. Which is $66 but my card was ran for $79 and I got blank stares when I asked for the difference back. Furthermore, the girl left me for 12 minutes during the middle of my pedi for no reason. Came here to get an acrylic fill and regular pedicure. First of all, it was very busy, but there were 3 workers standing at the front desk, and no one wanted to acknowledge me or my friend. So eventually, we finally get seated in the back, and our toenails looked very pretty, and the techs doing our toenails were very nice ( I only got the name of one: Crystal) However, after only 2 days, the bottom of my feet feel very rough, like the lady buffed them but not thoroughly. Other than that, my toenails look really pretty. My fucking fingernails though!!! Im beyond pissed. I told my lady that I have a broken nails under one of my acrylics so please be careful because it hurts really bad, and this dumb bitch literally yanks the acrylic the fuck off and cracks my real nail underneath, even more, then she proceeds to starts filling the nails, they are crooked as fuck. When she starts to fill, the acrylic is extremely thick and bumpy, ​and she was very messy. she burned me multiple times with the electric filer thing, and when she painted them she left air bubbles, and streaks on and around my nails. I had to ASK HER to clean up my nails. on top of that she finished wayyy to fast for comfort, and she was kind of a bitch. I went to this place in April for the first time and had an amazing experience! One of the guys gave me a pedicure and filled my acrylic nails. And I got my eyebrows done and it was only $65! Since I had this great experience I went back. This time a woman did my nails and it was awful. It took 2 hours for a fill and pedicure (I had no more time to do my eyebrows) and she was on her phone the entire time. Barely said 3 words to me. And I was charged $65. So I gave it one more shot. I was excited going into this salon for the first time because of the reviews, but my experience made me question my decision. The nail tech was Kevin. I felt rushed out, ladies getting fills were there before me and still there after me getting a full set. I asked for long nails and they are the shortest I've ever had and all different. Wanted acrylic and got powder gel. After explaining why i came to a new salon (my nails kept lifting and breaking off from other places), i was assured these would stay on because of an extra layer of gel, and they're already lifting one day later. Got white tips and after asking for them to be a little thicker got told "your nails are short and that would look weird"; which was embarrassing since i had asked for long nails and there was someone sitting right next to me. I went with a friend to get our nails done. She had previously gone here before and liked the results. She got an acrylic fill and I wanted a full set of gel. Everything was fine, they were very nice and polite. (Mind you this whole time I am telling them how I am getting my nails done because I am getting my maternity photos done on Sunday and I wanted to have nice nails.) This woman literally mangled my fingers. The gel was lopsided, rough, and all my nails were crooked. She filed the sides so much that I was in pain and they became too narrow so my fingers look huge with these little nails glued on top. I left, came right back and asked for them to remove them and give me a refund. They refused and said they would fix them. I even went to another technician after the woman who orginally did them made me cry because she told me that there was nothing wrong with my nails and there was no way that she was going to help me or give me a refund even though I told her to keep the large tip I gave her to begin with. Another customer even came over and was looking at my nails saying that she could see there was a problem and they looked crooked. So after having them do my nails twice, sitting there for 3 hours, paying over $60 for nails(tip not included) that I hate, and having sore nails from all the filing I have to go to another salon and pay to have them redone for my photoshoot.
