I went here with 2 of my sisters and it was a disappointing mistake. I wasn't even aloud to wash my hands and my youngest sister and I burned ourselves in the light heater. My other sister was accused of making a mistake that the nail technician clearly did, and when I told her to fix it she was being over dramatic and was speaking in another language. I came here because of the beautiful designs they can do. Especially Ni and Irvin. That I will give them. They are some of the best around for designs. But Irvin is so insanely rude. He's very cold and talks about his customers which shows me he would probably talk about me too! When asking his availability he's so rude about it and doesn't treat customers with kindness. That's enough to stir me away. Hopefully he changes because the kid is talented but I won't spend a penny to go to someone so rude and lacking customer service and just common decency. read more

So I came here to get my nails done because I've been here before and they did a good job. Not the nicest Customer service but their skills are what keep me coming. Anyways I come in around 7:25 they look a little busy I'm not upset I pick my color and sit after telling them what I need. I'm probably sitting there for ten minutes before this older lady who works there asked me to fill out a gift certificate. I was a little shocked she asked me when there are other people that actually work there. So she asked me to fill it out and I was confused as to what she was even trying to get me to do. She gets frustrated says something to another nail tech in her language and the nail tech tells me how to fill the gift card out. All the while I'm just like I came in here for a fill before my vacation. She doesn't say thank you walks off. Anyways I'm still waiting. Two women walk in after me and this guy takes them right over. Another nail tech says something to him in their language basically about how I've been waiting. He comes over tells me those ladies had an appt for a time that had passed at this point. I left. I walked right out before any services could be done. Who runs a business like that. You're rude to me from the beginning I give you a chance anyways for more people to be taken before me. I will NEVER step foot back in there. I've spoken to other people that go there and say you have to be rude to the nail techs to get what you want. Like no I shouldn't have to. One of the customers was a regular and did say the owner wasn't there. Maybe that's why everything was falling apart. Go at your own whim. read more

Went here with two other people and all 3 sets of nails look horrible. We each spent over 50$ for gel nails to come out looking like pure shit. The guy who did my nails didn't take his time at all and multiple nails were glued on crooked. The lady who did one of my friends nails did not listen to instructions at all and did her nails the opposite of what they were supposed to look like. The last lady did my sisters nails and my sisters paint job looks disgusting. Will not be returning. read more

I brought my daughter yesterday and while the lady that did her nails was nice and quick, she was not forthcoming with the additional charges she was adding on to us. They have a sign stating full set of acrylics for $25 and that's what I asked for. She then asked my daughter what shape she wanted and my daughter chose the almond shape (the $5 added charge was not mentioned). Once she was finished with the nail polish we went to pay and the total came to $43.60. I asked why and she said because we got gel nail polish. I stated I didn't ask for gel nail polish, she said but that's what we normally do and there's a $10 extra charge for that. Then she proceeded to tell me that the almond shape was also and additional $5. I said this should have been stated up front not after the work was done. All she could say was next time you need to tell us to use regular polish. She took no responsibility for this and basically put it on us. Although, the nails came out nice (it's only been a day, hoping they last), they are getting 2 stars for their hidden charges. If I could rate them 0 stars I would. When I first started going there, things were great but they progressively got worse and worse. Two times they did not give me back my credit card. Today was the last time I ever step foot in that place. Mind you, I drive all the way from Waterbury because they WERE that good. Not anymore. The lady made my toes and fingers bleed. Nothing was sterile. They charged me $1 for a nail file and buffer that I have to bring back every time I go. I threw it out. I'll never go back there again. The polish is uneven and not painted up to the cuticle. There are bare spots on my nails and toes where the polish was not painted on evenly. I never received a foot or a hand massage. They charged me $70! She rushed so much that she kept nicking my skin on the sides of my nails with the drill. Horrible horrible place. It's such a shame because they started out so good, only to downward spiral and lose my business for good. Beautiful Nail in Stratford, CT is where it's at! I'm willing to drive all the way there from Waterbury to get my nails done right. Do not go here if you can't handle disappointment and pain because that is all you will get. read more

If I could I would give 1/2 or zero stars. On a whim went in to get a manicure and asked how much. Was told $12 and to pick a color. Waited about 15 minutes before I was taken. No problem. The nail tech looked at the pale pink I chose and told me it wouldn't last, got up and brought a pink in a white bottle that he said was much better. Would last a long time and dry fast. The cost was $38--3 times more than what I planned to spend. I told him no thank you. He mentioned it several times while he was doing my "manicure" and I kept politely refusing. He then told me I will get what I pay for and spent all of 10 minutes on my nails, sat me at the drying station, and I never saw him again. I got home and saw that my nails were not filed smoothly down, cut to different lengths, and the polish was messy looking. Do the nail techs get a commission if they sell special services? Totally felt like I was being bullied and that what I wanted didn't matter. Fixed my nails myself when I got home. Sooo, basically I paid $12 for him to cut my cuticles. Won't bother going there again. read more

I used to go to this salon a lot. Irvin, Ni and Tina have always done a great job on my nails. They're quick and so so talented with designs. I stopped getting my nails done for awhile (personal reasons, nothing to do with salon)..I returned and the 3 nail techs I named above were busy that day so I had my nails done by a male, not sure of name, but he sits to the left of the salon in the front. I'm not sure where to start with him. He first of all overcharges. He charged me extra for the simple shape of the nails which no one in this salon has EVER charged me, he charged for length and for every tiny little thing possible that I have never been charged. Now moving along to my nails..he made 2-3 of my nails BLEED with the drill where the cuticle is (this has NEVER ever happened in my life), he did not try to fix that problem. He told me to simply "relax my hand"..that's pretty hard to do when you're bleeding and in pain. Now, after being charged over $60 for a basic acrylic FILL, no designs, just an acrylic fill with a few rhinestones..I've paid less for a whole new set with tons of rhinestones and designs. Before a week ran up all the rhinestones fell off. Irvin and Tina have done rhinestones on my nails that lasted a good 2 months before I had the time to get a fill. Diva nails, you're so talented and have so much potential, get rid of this guy because one bad apple spoils the whole bunch! read more
