We came here during the holiday for stocking stuffers. The have a lot of items for everyone in the family and the prices are decent. Some items you can find at Marshall's a bit cheaper but it depends on the product. This T J Maxx is the best in its class. The Runway section stocks European, contemporary and couture fashion. This store's Runway section turns over daily. If you see something you like, you must buy it right away. The Purse selection at this store always has great finds. Designer bags at reasonable prices. There are always multiple styles and colors of Michael Kors, Kate Spade, and other designer bags. This store also has a great Pet Section. They seem to stock more and more Pet Items each time I visit. Cute Dog Bowls and Cat Toys make me want to buy for all the furry friends I know. I come in the store mainly to look at the Home Decor and Cards. I always find something when I am here. This store is a great place to find gifts. read more

This is the best TJ Maxx in St. Louis and while I'm not a frequent shopper if I get in the mood this is the one I'm going to. Why? It has "The Runway" section and it's the only store in St. Louis that does. The Runway is a higher end collection of merchandise. It costs a lot more than the other TJ Maxx merchandise but it's like anything else there. If it's your day to find something you want it can be quite a bargain. read more

I have been to this location several times. It's closest to home and also has more deals and nicer items, however, customer service is not quite there, especially in the checkout lanes. There is always a long line at checkout, the people working the checkout lanes are sometimes too preoccupied talking to coworkers or not paying much attention. For example, I was checking out yesterday and the woman could not be bothered to say hello or tell me my total. She pretty much took the towels I wanted to purchase, did not stop her conversation, went ahead and folded the towels slowly and scanned them slowly then turned around to talk to her coworker some more. Zero sense of urgency. I didn't even know when I should swipe my card or how much I spent so I swiped my card after she didn't look at me for a while and waited for her to do something. She handed me the receipt (no word exchanged and yes she can talk but not to me apparently) and turned back around to continue her conversation. Wow! Great shopping experience to be had here if you want to feel like a ghost. As far as the store itself, it is well-organized. I have been to several different TJ Maxx in the STL area and this place probably places higher as far as organization and selection. And if you are looking for workout clothes... This place is where you can find major deals with such a large selection. I've bought several workout leggings from here for less than $20 (and clearanced workout tops for as low as $5) and I'm pretty sure Nike and Reebok would have charged me way more had I gone into their stores to purchase them. Honestly, I wear workout clothes only to workout (or on the way to working out) and I don't like wearing them all the time so I prefer to pay as little as I can for them. I have had some great interaction with people working on the floor whenever I couldn't find something and needed some assistance but I have learned to not expect it during checkout. read more

I like TJMAXX. I always find good deals. I am spoiled because the one closer to my house is bigger. Should I give them a five because I like the stores in general or give this one a four because it is small? I went with the four only because the selection is not what I am used to at the one close to my house. Yikes this store is kind of a hot mess.. I went in to the TJmaxx in Des Peres out of curiousity and as soon as I walked in I wanted to leave.. I know u might be thinking "well hey, this is a "discount" retail store, so what more did you expect?" BUT.. in all fairness...I am writting this review based on one criteria: quality compared to price. Any time I buy something I keep quality in mind. Is something on clearance for 5 dollars really a "great deal" if it looks as cheap as you bought it for?? NO. The merchandise in this TJmaxx was overpriced, cheap and ugly. My advice if your'e looking for a good deal is to skip this place all together and head to the clearance racks of stores with better quality clothes. You'll end up saving about the same amount of money. read more

I really loved this tucked away little TJ maxx store---it had a nice selection of clothing for ladies better than some of the others probably because it is smaller and just isn't even picked over.....they seem to have nicer clearance stuff also and guess what I could actually get a chance to look at it as this place just isn't as populated as some of the others....cute little plaza too... read more

on 12-26-17 the day after Christmas, I tried to return a shirt that was soiled, I purchased for my son for Christmas. I let the store clerk know that it was soiled and that is why I was returning it. Her name is Latonia M. I asked to speak to the manager and she said she was in a meeting and could not be reached. Her Name is Jen Nisbet. She said I could only get store credit even though I had the receipt. I said that is not your policy. She said I was disrespecting her and called the police and I was escorted out of the store. I have never been so humiliated! Needless to say, I will NEVER be going back. read more

I feel obligated to let people know this location does not carry kids or baby clothing. I even checked with an associate. They do have a small section of kids books and toys. It was my first time there and I was specifically looking for clothing for my son. It does have items that seemed more high end and appealing but was the size of the store is a bit small. read more

This location has not only gotten a facade facelift but appears to have also been upgraded on the inside. They have more shoes than the Kirkwood location now and appear to have the most high-end, designer clothes in the area. The purses are better than I have found at other locations too. They don't have much in the way for the kiddos though, so if you are looking for that or other housewares, the Kirkwood location or another is the place to go. read more
