Did not do what I wanted. Very disappointed. I requested that my Vintage Suit Jacket fabric not be cut and saved upon shortening it. They promised me that it will be saved. However, upon pickup, I noticed my Suit Jacket fabric was cut to shorten the length instead of preserving it as promised, and the owner insisted that it did not happen. If you cannot do something, then do not promise someone that you can. Very unprofessional in my opinion. My Vintage jacket just lost its value. I am extremely disappointed. read more

This place is great! It is a small, family-owned business. I had an intricately-beaded dress I needed altered for an event, and I had gone to another place and she said she wouldn't do it because it was too delicate, and then she told me that nobody else would do it and if they did they would charge a lot of money for it. So I I tried a few other shops and then found T&K Tailors. They had me try it on, pinned it where needed, and then said she would do it. I was a little nervous after the first shop had warned me about it being "too difficult", but T&K seemed confident so I trusted it to them. When I picked it up it was FLAWLESS and BEAUTIFULLY done! It looked incredible. And when I went to pay it was such a fair price (I knew how much work she put into it) so I gave them a huge tip because I felt it was much deserved. I am new to the area and was worried I wouldn't be able to find a good tailor like my last one, but worry no more. This place is now my go-to shop even though it is 20 min from my house! They are fair, trustworthy, punctual, professional, and friendly. read more

So I had a wedding to attend last Saturday and my bridesmaid dress just wouldn't zip all the way up. I found this tailor shop on Tuesday and she said she would have it ready by noon on Friday. I was thankful, she was able to adjust it and on the day of pick up she even fixed the loose shoulder straps. I only spent $30. I will definitely be back if I need anything else altered. read more

I needed measurements for a bridesmaid's dress a few months ago since the bride to be was ordering them online. I was nervous to trust my own judgement, so I came here & asked the woman behind the counter (I assume is the owner) if I could get measured. She gladly took my measurements & helped me pick which size would be the best on the size chart. I had done this a few years prior at other places & they always charged me. She didn't!! I promised her that I would be back with the dress when it came in for alterations. Another customer came out of the fitting room at that time & told me she was the best & I wouldn't be disappointed. I brought my dress back a few weeks ago to have some length taken off & was nervous that I didn't have enough time to get it back by the wedding. They assured me it would be ready & when I picked it up the day before the wedding it looked great! I'll return for any other alterations that I may need! Oh & FYI it's cash only. read more

I had a bit of a dress emergency last week when I was about to fly out for a wedding and realized my dress was still about 3 inches too long even with heels. I went in a bit frantic but they were able to do SAME DAY alterations. The quality is impeccable, you can't even tell its not the original stitching! I go to this tailor shop all the time and have never been disappointed. I get my teen daughter's dresses altered to fit her and they always come out perfect. I've dropped off a stack of my son's school pants to be hemmed and gotten them back within the week. The folks there are always very nice and professional and the work is always done very well and on time. Love this Tailoring place! I used to live in the condo complex next door and was so incredibly convenient and well-priced. I'm 4'11 so as you can imagine I have to have EVERYTHING hemmed and taken in. I took 2 pairs of maternity pants here for a hem and take in and they did a fantastic job. I had Family Funeral to attend out of town. Having lost a great deal of weight for spinal surgery, my High End suits were 10 to 12 sizes too large, and the cut outdated. I didn't think it was possible to basically have the Suit Jacket and Pants reconstructed with a complete New Classic Slim Fit Silhouette. With a deadline of two days... This wonderful couple and talented Seamstress/ Tailor at TK Tailors 5394 Wesleyan Drive; took an outdated 48R Suit and transformed it into a Perfect Modern Slim Fit 38R , tapering the lapels, moving the pockets, shortening the length of the Suit Jacket, removing the extra material in the sleeves , removed the pleats on the pants, raising the seat and crotch, tapering the legs to absolute perfection in Two or Three days! Her tailoring skills and an exacting eye for the overall silhouette would or should make the Tailors of Prada Custom hand tailored Men's Suits take note! Again, all completed to Perfection in Two to Three days. The Cost, unbelievably inexpensive. I have 15 more such Suits that I will take no where else. Thank You T&K Tailors. Luis read more
