Rip N Stitch gets full marks on all of the above. I called on a weekend to see if I could get the sleeves of a suit jacket shortened by the following weekend. On the phone they said "We're scheduled out to Wednesday--should be no problem!" So I took the jacket in that day. It took about 2 minutes to get the sleeve pinned up. I was told because of the buttons it would be a little more than the standard price for sleeves, but $45 sounded fair and I appreciated knowing the price up front! They also said I could pick it up any time on Wednesday, no need to call ahead. Within about 10 minutes I was on my way with the claim ticket in hand. On Wednesday I picked up the jacket on my lunch break. As promised, it was ready and the price was $45 + tax. Finally, the work was done well. I have a jacket that fits perfectly, and you can't even tell it was ever altered.

Not only was my dress finished so quickly, but the work was impeccable. It was as if I had bought them brand new, perfectly tailored to my body. The price was extremely reasonable for the quality and quickness of the service. Valeria greeted me when I walked in and made sure all my requests were heard. Things were said that mischaracterized both parties. Monica's husband reach out to me and we were able to discuss this in a cordial and professional manner. So I had an event on a Friday night (I actually only had a 5 hours lead-time before I had to go pick up my date), and there were these shirts (somewhat trendy and uniquely designed) I got from overseas that didn't drape just right, and I wanted a same-day tailor to look at it for me, so I called Anna - whom my Dentist recommended. After raving over the shirts and declaring how handsome I was (which I am, of course. LOL) Anna had me try them on and told me exactly what she'd personally do to make them drape better. (I wanted them to fit like the model on the guy's web page) "These guys they do tricks for those photo - I fix for you, beautiful man". Anna hooked me up. The son said she sometimes just doesn't want to do projects and that I should go elsewhere. She then said she couldn't handle the simple hem I requested. She was incredibly rude and kept waiving her hand at me to leave when I was trying to ask as to why she changed her mind. I asked kindly and she gave no response as to why. Incredibly disappointing because I have sent people here before and they have zero customer loyalty. Ps. When I've gone in the past, multiple alterations for one item were required. i always just went with it because the end product would be fine but it took them 3 tries to get it right. It's a bummer there aren't more places in cincinnati. If you want good customer service and communication and a good alteration, don't go here. They've also done other things with my work clothes and other things. The last thing they did was put buckles on the cinch strap of a work apron, came out perfect. They've always done a great job, no problems with their work, and they're very inexpensive for what they do. Only problem is they never got over Covid. They insist on making appointments, which is a HUGE pain if you run around doing errands like I do. Also I don't see how an appointment keeps someone with Covid from coming in (if you're afraid of that). Also they have a tendency to run behind so be ready for that. The tailor that was originally recommended by my bridal shop does not accept new orders less than three months before a wedding date. I was panicking as I researched where else I could bring my gown ... and I found Alterations by Toni on Yelp. They got back to me right away - and got me in for my first fitting the following week! Everyone that I interacted with was friendly, professional, and extremely detail-oriented. I returned to the shop five times throughout the fitting process. Even though it was a lot of running around in the months leading up to my wedding - I appreciate the work these ladies put in to make sure my dress fit perfectly. I also brought in some extra lace, and had them fashion detached sleeves that I could wear during the ceremony. They went above and beyond to assist with this extra request - and I could not be more grateful. By the end of the alterations - it did end up costing me just over $500. My wife had two pair…read moreof pants and was told by the greeter/cashier, "Why did you wait until the last minute to bring them in," She had just bought the the day before, did not need them for three days and there business ' name is "Alterations While You Wait." No need for that admonition from the cashier. A simple, "It is Prom time, we are backed up terribly and are unable to meet your deadline," would have been acceptable. I may return, but my wife took her pants back to the store and will wait 7-10 days and save $70.00 on alteration fees, and receive outstanding customer service.
