I'm not going to say that it merits its name, but if you use your noggin and nose for bargains, you can find them. I tend to enter by produce so that I can scope out the rack to see what has been marked down. I tend to get lucky for a bag of minorly marred apples, though stick on a glove (this is still germaphobe time) and fondle the fruit to check for quality. Some of that stuff is toeing the line. I've found bakery, frozen and grocery reductions as well, sometimes displayed at the other end of the store, sometimes right where they belong in the store before mod changes. There always manages to be someone hogging the bottle return machines out front when I want to turn in my cans, though I suppose if you have better timing than I do, this could be considered a perk as well. I only ever used the self checkout here. The machines are temperamental, and to be honest, so have been a few of the employees. That's not to say that they all suck, as there are a few friendly ones that make a point to smile (I think, it's hard to tell with the mask) and say hello. And btdubs, the loo is by the cafe in front, just in case you're that weirdo that reads reviews to find out about access to the toilet while picking up your buy two get two tater chips.

Apparently a big cart of boxes of items to refill the shelves had hit an aisle box. First, we heard nothing. Within a few second however, we heard laughing, then "let me take a picture!". Here we have store employees hitting their cart in the aisles, not caring what had happened and JOKiNG about their on-the-job mishap! I know you need employees BUT you don't need people working in your stores who have the common sense of a teenager, and the mind and reaction of a 3 year old! When I looked around the corner, they were giggling and laughing like kids, trying to clean the mess of the broken glass and its contents all over. Nothing warned customers to keep away, and nothing was placed there afterwards of any caution of a wet floor. The way those two employees were smiling and laughing, you'd think they crashed their car into a house and were only concerned of getting a picture of the scene before they ran away, laughing all the way home!!

The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because the restroom stank, and the paper towel dispenser wasn't working, nor was one of the soap dispensers. But considering the efforts going into sanitizing the store as much as possible and keeping customers safe, I can't fault anyone. These are not normal times. And like many essential businesses that remain open during this quarantine, they are short-staffed. At one entrance to the store, an employee wipes down shopping carts with disinfectant, completely. At the other entrance are clean carts, for anyone not wanting to wait for a sanitized cart to dry. Or, as in most stores, you can help yourself to disinfectant wipes for carts and hands, which is great for the cart I wheeled in from the parking lot. I like this Tops. It's small enough to be personal, and large enough to be... Tops Market.

I love Wegmans and this location is no different…read more With it being in the city, it's evident that both the parking lot and store are smaller than suburban locations but they do their best to maximize the space. The parking spots are narrower than suburban locations, but there is a lot of parking. The store felt slightly more cramped than my go-to location, even shopping with a small cart was tight to navigate through the produce section and the aisles were busy with shoppers and staff restocking. It's also a busy location, even on a Friday afternoon. But the store was clean and well organized, and they had a lot of registers open and staffed by courteous cashiers. The quality and selection of their food is fantastic, better than most grocery stores in the area.

Naturally, I still find myself frequenting this Wegmans whenever I'm back in Buffalo. The Amherst Street Wegmans has a massive parking lot, though you would never know it during the peak hours. Between how popular this store already is and the addition of the Wegmans Wine & Spirits shop in the same plaza, it's usually pretty packed. You might not snag a spot close to the entrance but you'll find a spot. Might I suggest that patience is basically required, as with all things Wegmans. Once inside, I'm almost always overwhelmed (in the best way) by how much there is. Prepared foods, deli counter, meat and seafood, bakery, flowers, produce, frozen foods. You name it, Wegmans has it and they probably have a Wegmans branded version, too. I love browsing the craft beer section and, more recently, the growing selection of non-alcoholic options (Thank you, Wegmans!). Honestly, I can't complain. Yes, Wegmans can feel overwhelming, but now that I don't actually work there anymore, I've grown to appreciate the variety, freshness, quality, and pricing. The things I would do for Wegmans to come to the West Coast... until then, I'll keep savoring every visit to Weggies while I'm back home.

This store has been renovated so everything looks so clean and new, and the fish fry was one my wife noted as better than most other Tops stores we have had it at. The roomy dining room had NO TV as does most of the other Tops store, BUT it had a huge round clock you could watch it slowly tick the minutes, plus it was NOT clean though many other store employees were there while we were, either for a break or a meal. As usual and what is the routine at all Tops dining areas, we got napkins and cleaned the table top ourselves, as well as the chairs too. The restrooms also needed attention which was very lacking. I also thought it strange as though separated, there were no separate doors for men's and women's restrooms. The parking lot was very dark as it was after sunset when we stopped in.

Wegmans is hands down my favorite grocery store and this location is basically just as good as the others. Prices feel reasonable for the quality and variety. Wegmans is the kind of place where you can easily grab a few essentials or end up browsing longer than planned (which always happens to me). During my January visit, everything was clean, organized, and easy to navigate, and checkout was smooth despite it being a busy time. If you're familiar with Wegmans, you know you're likely to get consistently great selection, quality products, and a reliable shopping experience.
