She was friendly and answered questions I had. -Sara was the instructor and great in explaining the class structure and reviewing proper form. Throughout the class she corrected my form which I appreciated so that I didn't get injured. Overall impressions: I thought the class was going to be a breeze but I was mistaken. My arms and legs were shaking and my muscles were twitching. I had to take frequent breaks and I ended up losing the ball and band for most of the class. As Sara said maintaining the proper form was most important. Who knew all the small movements could work all your muscles. Although I enjoyed the class, I prefer a gym that offers more variety of cardio and strength training classes. I don't think this gym fits with what I am looking for, but I enjoyed the opportunity to try something new.

I decided on the iRest Yoga Nidra Guided Meditation that was led by Lucy held on Fri, Sept 28. You register online and they send registrants a confirmation and reminder email. I was grateful as they mentioned that the gps address is 8950 Old Annapolis Road and that the building faces Route 108 and that parking is located behind the building. Yoga mats, blankets, and pillows are all available for the session. Lucy starts the class by providing background information and the process for iRest Yoga Nidra. Then she walked around making sure that each participant looked comfortable by the way they were laying or sat. For me, she suggested putting a the pillow underneath my knees whereas I had laid it underneath my calves. That made it more comfortable. Lucy then began by telling us to notice the sounds around us such as the class next door, traffic, etc. Then she followed by having us relax different body parts and concentrating on our breathing. I had had a very stressful and frustrating day at work so I was really looking forward to this session. Although Lucy was a wonderful facilitator I found myself distracted and fidgety. I could not sit still, focus, or relax. All the more reason why I need take more yoga and meditation classes. I was closest to the wall that was next to a class in the next room. I would have preferred if it had been quieter. It was a bit distracting. The room was a bit chilly but I didn't want to use the blanket they offer because I'm a germophobe and I don't know how frequently the blankets get washed so being chilly could be one reason why I wasn't relaxed. Lastly, my fellow yogis who were so relaxed that they were snoring. My attention ended up being focused on that. I definitely need more mindfulness in my life. It was a great experience nonetheless. I highly recommend that everyone give it a try and take advantage of the free classes when they are offered. Namaste.

Yelp is my Bible to new experiences so once you tell me Yelp is wrong- I mean simply change the details your business advertisement and whalaa=NO PROBLEMS or CONFUSION. I attended an intro class with the assumption that I would be able to take advantage of these offers. The only available classes are very early or very late, which do not fit most people's schedules. I scheduled a 2.0 class, but it was canceled by their staff. The front office said I must be assessed and approved by an instructor, even though I have experience in many advanced Pilates classes at other studios. I asked when the instructor would be available to assess me, and they said they were unsure of the next available time. They take your money without assessing you but limit your ability to attend classes in many ways. I tried to talk to their manager and waited for 2 hours with no response. The front office said she was in a meeting. However, when you see their studio, there isn't even a meeting room--big lie. A kind reminder: before you enroll at the Laurel location, check if you can find any available classes that fit your usual workout time. If you cannot find available classes, it might be better to try another location. Club Pilates is a franchise business, and its membership cannot be used at other locations. Mostly, you can only use your membership at one location, so be cautious before you enroll. I leave this review on 6/19/24. I attached their schedule in the next days, you can see almost nothing you can schedule.

So, it makes total sense that his treatment is complemented by the easy access to a whole range of different yoga classes. They offer everything from restorative yoga to special yoga sessions for prenatal yoga. Whether you are a beginner or you consider yourself a seasoned practitioner, you will definitely find a class that suits you. I love the beginner yoga class! The studio is warm and inviting and all of the instructors are patient. While they each have their own unique style, they all make the practice accessible to anyone, regardless of your skill level. During the pandemic, due to restrictions to in person classes, they have been offering virtual classes. I think it is awesome that they found a way to continue to offer yoga to so many people. In fact, it provides the opportunity for so many of us to participate that might not otherwise be able to go to the studio. If you want to try yoga for the first time, or you're looking for a new place to practice, definitely check them out. You will not regret it!

Karen was extremely nice and was helpful by giving the few of us that arrived early the opportunity to get our nerves down and let us know what to expect. That one-on-one time with her was unexpected but very welcoming. She even brought in peppermint essential oil to help us with any potential motion sickness. The class had its moments where poses were a little difficult, but we encouraged one another and Karens support made a difference. There were poses that came effortlessly as well and overall it was a great experience. There was a group of friends there that enjoyed the experience and although the studio is not close by, I'll be inviting some friends to join me for the class in the near future.

The instructors are amazing, they help you with your form and shout you out when you're doing well in class. I also love their verbal encouragements like "you got this" "remind yourself why you showed up today"." Classmates are friendly and encouraging. My favorite format is Define. Very challenging, but I leave class feeling so refreshed and strong. My all-around strength has improved so much and I gained a noticeable amount of muscle definition. I'm so glad I discovered Barre.

There's lots of parking (street and parking lot), and many stores and restaurants nearby to explore afterwards.

The facility is massive -- it almost feels like a mall. There's a cafe, indoor pool, plenty of fitness areas, and spacious locker rooms. Everything felt very clean here which is a plus. The Sunday 10:45am vinyasa class was advertised as "medium heat" but it barely felt heated. The instructor wasn't my favorite and the flow felt clunky and disorganized. Her queueing wasn't very clear and if I were a newbie yogi, I'd be pretty confused. Most of the class was spent in child's pose or savasana and I would've preferred more time to flow and play. The studio itself is fairly small for the size of the rest of the gym. As a guest recently, I had to download the app in order to get my guest pass which was pretty annoying. I've never seen another gym do that and didn't appreciate the extra hoops to jump through. Overall, if this gym was closer and less expensive I'd consider it but for now, I appreciate the chance to be a guest here.

It feels like all the money goes to extras like the sitting areas, pickleball courts, classes that cost additional money, etc. The only gym area is the second floor, and even that is taken up by classes. Machines are often broken and dirty, kids are CONSTANTLY running around unsupervised and playing on the equipment, and the gym etiquette has taken a severe hit. You see people filming, reading up multiple machines, sitting for an hour while scrolling, and not putting things back. I had to change my workout so many times because the free weights were missing entire bands of weights. Again, the staff is incredibly kind and nice. But the gym does not deserve the almost $200 a month price point. I would pay $40.
