Per the instructions on groupon, I emailed Fran so that I could create a log in online but I didn't hear back from her so I called the office. Once my account was created, I was able to sign up for classes. I was informed before I took any classes I would need to take the Intro to Equipment class. Fran was the instructor. She was patient and helpful as it was my first time and I needed specialized attention. For my second session, I took Reformer I & II with Doreen. Foe my last session I took Tower with a substitute for Doreen. All the instructors were patient, helpful, and friendly. They ask if anyone had injuries and they walk around and if your technique is wrong they adjust and correct you which I greatly appreciated. The classes were challenging to me since I am not good at following directions. Also, if you don't remember instructions well, I recommend taking Intro to Equipment multiple times. I had to look around to see how to do things as I am a visual learner, not an audio learner. The facility is tucked away in the corner and is not visible if you are in the parking lot. Fortunately I saw someone wearing athletic clothes and followed them. The facility is clean and bright. There are two individual restrooms. There is a main room with cubbies. The reformer room also had cubbies. The reformer room was slightly warm even with ceiling fans so I dressed lighter the second and third session. I enjoyed my experience, but could have benefitted from more intro classes. The classes were much different than my normal cardio and strength training classes at my gym. The pace was slower and it was a great way to relieve stress. I highly recommend Core Fitness for Pilates.

At Coreworks, the classes have no more than 8-10 reformers, so the instructor can take the time to help each student with the routines. No two workouts are the same, and classes are never dull. If you are thinking of giving Pilates a try, visit CoreWorks and check Groupon, as there are often new member/class packages.

She was friendly and answered questions I had. -Sara was the instructor and great in explaining the class structure and reviewing proper form. Throughout the class she corrected my form which I appreciated so that I didn't get injured. Overall impressions: I thought the class was going to be a breeze but I was mistaken. My arms and legs were shaking and my muscles were twitching. I had to take frequent breaks and I ended up losing the ball and band for most of the class. As Sara said maintaining the proper form was most important. Who knew all the small movements could work all your muscles. Although I enjoyed the class, I prefer a gym that offers more variety of cardio and strength training classes. I don't think this gym fits with what I am looking for, but I enjoyed the opportunity to try something new.

You're basically running on a soft-surfaced treadmill and doing lots of different exercises using your own body weight, free weights, bands, etc. You will be harnessed in so you don't go running off of the front of the machine. You get a heart rate monitor when you arrive. This way you can monitor your heart rate during the work out. Your heart rate and your name will appear on a screen in the studio, along with everyone else in the class. The instructor is really like a coach. She will tell you and others to push harder if your heart rate isn't in a certain zone, but she'll also let you know you should back off if your heart rate gets too high. PACE YOURSELF! Or you may end up light-headed and nauseated like me! Lots of explosive movements. This is definitely a high intensity interval training workout. The greatest difficulty for me is following the routine, like in any fitness class. I'm just not very coordinated. The work out is only 30-45 minutes, which is also nice. There's plenty of parking, but it's kind of awkward. The building where this is located is kind of nondescript and old, but you will find it pretty easily.

During the pandemic, due to restrictions to in person classes, they have been offering virtual classes. I think it is awesome that they found a way to continue to offer yoga to so many people. The facility is massive -- it almost feels like a mall. There's a cafe, indoor pool, plenty of fitness areas, and spacious locker rooms. Everything felt very clean here which is a plus. The Sunday 10:45am vinyasa class was advertised as "medium heat" but it barely felt heated. The instructor wasn't my favorite and the flow felt clunky and disorganized. Her queueing wasn't very clear and if I were a newbie yogi, I'd be pretty confused. Most of the class was spent in child's pose or savasana and I would've preferred more time to flow and play. The studio itself is fairly small for the size of the rest of the gym. As a guest recently, I had to download the app in order to get my guest pass which was pretty annoying. I've never seen another gym do that and didn't appreciate the extra hoops to jump through. Overall, if this gym was closer and less expensive I'd consider it but for now, I appreciate the chance to be a guest here.

Oh yes, and they just jacked up the minimum monthly rate by over $60, to $250, after another big iincrease in January. It looks like they are raising it by $100 every single year. Meanwhile, the CEO is a billionaire, just counting his money. Maybe if they didn't lay off over half the staff, including all the management, there would be someone to properly maintain the pool. But no, the CEO is working on becoming a MULTI-billionaire, so he doen't want to waste money on trivalties like a working pool with clean water. I certainly would not want Lifetime to be inconvenienced by keeping the pool up and running, if it would mean the CEO could not meet his Multi-Billionaire goal. It would break my heart if the CEO did not get another fast billion because they decided to keep the facilities running for the lowly members who don't deserve anything anyway. We should be happy to pay $250-$500/mo to make Bahram his 2nd billion.
