I also brought a cute little watch pendant in, but he was going to charge $15 to replace one battery in a watch that cost $20 in the first place - forget it! Everyone I've told this to has been surprised, usually if you buy a watch battery there's no charge to replace it. Another thing - the battery on one of the pet tags started sending out battery low signals almost immediately. I am so annoyed with the company I didn't even take it back.

For $50 I got a house call, an expert repair job, a new battery better than the original, and a friendly guy who impressed me with his knowledge and sociability as well as his enterprise, ambition and work ethic - and with 5 kids (I think he said) all that helps. He wore a mask, took off his shoes, sat at our dining room table and went to work. Maybe 20 minutes or so I had my phone back, and paid with a credit card. Couldn't have been easier. Our devices are really reliable these days, and I've been able to fix many of what few problems they've had (like I can throw a laptop from my recliner right thru the open window into the trash can with one arm!), but one thing I won't do is try to open an iphone, so I'm glad Elliott's available for those times when I throw my shoulder out.
