Working with Sylvia has been awesome! She helped us with the sale / purchase process providing personalized service every step of the way. Sylvia really listened to our expectations for the sale and provided options for selling or renting the property out, making sure we made the best decision. She rolled out the red carpet for our sale providing a staging consultation, professional photography, high-quality flyers, a direct mail campaign, a custom website and a 5-star open house. Needless to say, we had multiple offers on our home in just 3 days! Sylvia cross qualified the offers to make sure we went with the highest and safest to ensure a smooth escrow. When it came to purchasing our home Sylvia was very flexible with scheduling showings and was extremely patient with us through this process. She provided the guidance necessary by calling out potential issues that we might have been blind to. We provided her with a search area and Sylvia would cold call and door knock those neighborhoods, this provided untapped leads to off market listings. When it came to submitting an offer, Sylvia provided us with a winning strategy that ensured our offer getting accepted! read more

We were extremely pleased with our experience with Sylvia and her team when it came to selling our house. She cared about the little details and listened when we brought up any possible concerns. She was very sensitive about me being pregnant and us having a small dog in the house, and we really appreciated her taking that into consideration during each decision that we made together. Before even putting the house on the market, she guided us through the repairs and touch-ups that we wanted to make. She had great recommendations for plumbers, painters, a home stager, cleaners and more. The professional photographer that she hired for the listing photos had an eye for lighting and detail that made the house look like it was in a magazine. In the end, Sylvia helped us get the best deal for our house and provided us with advice and resources to have a smooth transition in our next location. Even after the house was sold, she stopped by to check in on us. We couldn't be happier with the outcome and how smoothly everything went. We would choose Sylvia again in a heartbeat and recommend her to all of our friends. read more

Thinking about selling your home? Look no further than the Sylvia Vega Team! They went above and beyond our expectations. Not only are they fantastic at what they do, they are the sweetest and kindest people you'd ever meet. Sylvia and Gary have outstanding insight into our neighborhood and market conditions. They also took care of scheduling and overseeing minor updates needed to get our home ready to sell (much appreciated with two kids under five years old in the home). Just as important, they expertly managed all of our anxieties and provided us with an incredibly smooth and relaxing selling process. Friends and family were shocked and couldn't believe the price our home sold for. Sylvia and Gary were able to sell our home for nearly $250K more than what other real estate professionals believed we would receive!!! We have found our realtor for life and hope you do too! read more

Sylvia and Gary went above and beyond the duties of a realtor! They made selling our family home, which has been an emotional journey for us, not to mention the fact that we all live out-of-state, such a smooth and positive experience. Plus, we got two for one. We had no idea when we signed the contract with Sylvia that we would also have Gary helping us with all the details. Sylvia walked us through the process so that we understood every detail. She gave us prudent advice during the negotiating process and checked-in with us often and helped keep the four out-of-state siblings stay steady and on the same page. We all felt her commitment and that she had our best interest throughout the process. Gary totally took over the repairs so that we didn't have to worry about a single detail. He sent us various proposals so that we could get the best prices and kept us up-to-date by sending us daily photos of the repair process. Their hard work, professionalism, trustworthiness, warmth, sensitivity, and chocolate cookies were exactly what we needed to make a difficult process transition into a positive one. read more

My wife and I met Sylvia at an open house in Altadena. Little did we know at the time, but this chance meeting would be life-changing! She, along with her partner, Gary Landon form the Sylvia Vega Team. They are the epitome of excellent, superior service providers. We came to her with a unique situation where we had to sell our existing home in order to purchase a larger home. Most realtors were very reluctant to help us navigate this contingent process, not the Sylvia Vega Team. They helped us position ourselves to quickly prepare our existing home for staging, open houses and private showings. We were able to get it into escrow in just a few weeks while looking at other homes in our relatively small, target area. After making several offers, we found the right home only two miles away. Sylvia and Gary got us our asking price on our home and we were able to find the home we really wanted at the same time. We closed escrow on our sale and new home purchase within the same week. The SV Team is caring, patient, persistent, responsive and dedicated to giving anyone a home buying or selling experience they'll always remember. Hiring them will be one of the smartest decisions you'll ever make! read more

The best realtors! Gary and Silvia helped my family purchase our first home and we are so lucky to have worked with them. They were incredibly patient with us, showed us many properties and after finding the one we love, they helped make the purchasing process easy and smooth. We are very thankful to Gary and Sylvia for their patience, professionalism and for taking great care of us. read more

Sylvia and Gary are our neighbors and we did not look far to decide who to hire to sell the only home my wife and I have owned for over 30 years. We had no idea how difficult the process of selling a home would be and could not have done it without the Vega Team. Sylvia nurtured us through the selling process for over a year! When my family was finally ready to sell the Vega team went into high gear to photograph, market and sell our house. Our house sold in 10 days for over asking! Sylvia and Gary were EXTREMELY patient and helpful through every phase along the way. They helped us with the myriad of details starting from preparing the house for sale to solid advice on strategy to sell in the best interest of our family. Amidst the emotional ups and downs of the entire process Sylvia and Gary were rock solid never wavering as they steamed ahead. Sylvia and Gary were professional, courteous, knowledgeable, smart and extremely thorough. They always had the best interest of our family at hand. They are part of our family now and we thank God for bringing them into our life. My wife and I highly recommend hiring the Sylvia Vega team to represent you. You will quickly find out why the first time you meet them. read more

Once again, Sylvia worked her magical powers to get a challenging sale to the closing table. After selling my home in 2015 and retiring to NC, I reached out to Sylvia to list my 80-year-old mother's home in Los Angeles. Sylvia brought in her team of experts to help clear out and deep clean the house (filled with a lifetime of collections) DURING the holidays, and found a committed buyer, paying full price, smack in the middle of Coronavirus! INCREDIBLE! There were high emotions, sadness, frustration, elation, and a 3-hour time difference throughout the process. Sylvia helped us stay focused on the big picture and soothed our frustrations with her professional AND life experience, all while infusing her signature "glass half full" mindset. I could HEAR her radiant smile through the phone in every conversation. I consider Sylvia one of the best real estate professionals in the industry, and more importantly, one of the nicest people I've ever met. read more

I would highly recommend Sylvia. She helped to sell our family home. We felt that my parents were in trustworthy hands. She was patient and kind and she treated my parents respectfully. She treated them the way she would want her parents treated. She is hard-working and dedicated. The successful sale of this property was a direct result of her efforts! read more

We had a perfect experience with Sylvia Vega, who I highly recommend for any real estate transaction. Her expert knowledge of the Pasadena area was really a plus in our home search, and she was very responsive and available throughout the entire process. Sylvia and a Gary gave us very personalized service. Even after we purchased our home, the team helped us in a thousand ways. We really felt that our business was important to them, and they both went above and beyond when it came to helping us settle into our new home. Sylvia has an infectiously positive attitude and is a pleasure to do business with. read more

Sylvia and Gary make an awesome team. They have a great sense for how popular a house will be (i.e., how many people will bid/what the final price will be), and a good eye for any red flags that need fixing (build quality, etc.). It looks like most of the reviews on here are from people who sold their homes with Sylvia as a listing agent---but she's a great buyer's agent too. She'll give you an honest opinion about whether a house is worth the asking price. With her help and advice, we wound up getting our home below list price, and we're in a great location. Of course, it's also important to trust your agent, and it can be hard to tell beforehand whether that trust is well-placed. But we were always comfortable working with Sylvia and Gary. They never pushed us to buy anything, and they seemed perfectly comfortable with how slow we were to make a purchase. In fact, we were first drawn to them because we overheard multiple conversations in which they came across as genuinely ethical. Several months of working together only confirmed that initial impression. read more

My sister and I interviewed several agents when it came time to sell our deceased Mother's home. When we met with Sylvia, all other possibilities vanished. We were looking for someone with whom we could trust, and she was that person. Her professionalism simply shined though. Her knowledge of the market in our area was exemplary. She gave us all the materials we needed to make our decision. During our meeting, she asked for the listing more than once, and that meant a lot to us. That showed us that she was a strong marketer and she would also be asking potential buyers for the offer! We asked Sylvia to provide us with some information necessary to make our final decision and she drove that information back to us that very afternoon. We were still waiting for that same information from a sales agent we had interviewed more than a week before! Our home sold in no time and during the escrow period she communicated with us both by phone and text. There was no detail too small for her attention and rapid response. We just love Sylvia's upbeat, happy and warm demeanor, and that just adds to her amazing efficiency. There is one more person we should mention, her associate, Gary. We were so happy with the way Sylvia and Gary worked together to provide truly amazing customer service. The house just closed and my sister and I are so delighted that we made the right decision to help us through what could have been an arduous experience. Bravo Sylvia and Gary! read more

My husband and I are writing this review to let everyone know that Team Sylvia Vega is the one to call when selling and/or buying a property. We dont do a lot of reviews on Yelp BUT we want to share our wonderful experience with Sylvia and Gary... Customer Service - We simply LOVE their service because it's very personalized. We could easily reach them via text, email, or phone call. They are easy going yet "on top" of their game. They connect well with people. We truly love these guys! Goal-oriented - As soon as we found the house that we wanted, they were always a step ahead and they already had answers for us... they do it effortlessly but we know that they work hard towards the goal in helping us find the house that we wanted and close escrow. While we were in escrow, every phone call we received was a step towards our goal of winning a bid on a property that we were interested in and/or closing escrow. We just loved that aspect of the home purchase process!!! Love these guys for that! Great communication between us and her team - they kept everything transparent from when day 1. She and her team are excellent in communicating evey step of our house hunting and this included placing an offer on a house esp during escrow time! We love these guys!!! Professional - another aspect we really love about Sylvia and her team is that not only they are beautiful people on the outside but inside too, which reflects on how they handle their job. They have high standards within their team in every aspect of their job and it shows in their dynamics!... this includes the Delawari Group (an escrow company) that she referred us too. We were blown away with the service they had for us! My husband and I have high expectations when it comes to any customer service oriented business. and They keep their standards high! An A+ team! Good positive vibe is what we dealt with when we worked with Sylvia Gary and Waleed!!! There were no regrets picking them to help us purchase our home. We trust these guys! We will definitely contact them again when are ready to sell and/or buy again. For any questions, we would be happy have you contact us calbano001@gmail.com and tell you more about our experience with them. read more

I have only positive things to say about Sylvia and Gary! They were knowledgeable about the local market, my neighborhood, and the conditions of the past and comparable sales. I feel they went above what another agent would have done: gave very honest advice, fantastic suggestions on staging and showing of the house, even brought their own items to add to the decor of the house. They were personable, professional, attentive to my specific requests and needs, and also firm and confident in communicating with potential buyers. I was overseas during the selling process but Gary and Sylvia took care of everything in my absence, they arranged multitude of individual viewings, open houses, and maintenance and service visits during the escrow period. Sylvia patiently guided me through the negotiations helping me get the best offer for the house. Gary was able to come to the house at a moment's notice to take care of something urgent. Both Sylvia and Gary were always available over the phone and text for my endless questions. I felt that I was in great hands throughout the whole process. I could not have chosen a better team! I highly recommend them. If I ever return to the LA area, I would reach out to them again without hesitation. read more

Sylvia lives just a few streets away from us. I have known Sylvia a few years now and cannot say enough good things about her. Although I have not personally used Sylvia's services to sell or buy a home, I would use her in a heartbeat. She is professional, honest, genuine and kind. She really cares about the neighborhood and even serves on the Altadena Town Council. I called Sylvia the other day to ask her for a reference, for someone to help us with our old heating system that was not working. We had been without heat several days. So when Sylvia called back right away, I was very happy. I had already had two other heating companies come out to look at the gravity furnace and they did not know how to fix it. The gentleman that Sylvia recommended who fixed it turned out to be an expert on old heating systems. Thank you Sylvia for saving the day! read more

As a buyer recently, Sylvia was the listing agent of a property we were interested in. Along with our offer, we included a really nice heartfelt letter about our family for her to pass on to the seller. I'm sure the seller never saw our letter because all that Sylvia was interested in was squeezing out the most money from the interested buyers. She even had the unethical nerve to counter the buyers saying if the home doesn't appraise we need to come up with the difference in cash. Awful. SHE and the banks are the reason for real estate bubbles. That kind of crap should be illegal from agents. I'm sure she wouldn't like to receive a counter like that if she was the one buying the home. Suddenly it would make sense to her. Anyway, I'll never use her or recommend her. There are much more honest and decent agents out there. read more

It's rare that you find a real estate broker the caliber of Sylvia Vega and her team! Selling my home during the Christmas holiday period could have been very stressful, but Sylvia and Gary made it easy. It was a breeze due to her knowledge and expertise of the market, her marketing skills and her wonderful positive attitude! She walked me through the entire process at our first meeting. The follow-up on all phases was detailed and prompt! Sylvia and team made sure I was updated often and created a simple, stress-free process ( and I really needed that!). I was thrilled with the fabulous outcome and would whole-heartedly recommend Sylvia, Gary and the entire team! read more

sylvia vega is simply *the* best when you are looking to buy or sell a home. we did both -- and we could not be happier. and i am not saying this lightly: we actually tried several other real estate agents before landing in sylvia's capable hands, and there is NO comparison. not only is sylvia extremely competent, professional, and gets things done -- she also really LISTENS. i have never worked with anyone in any capacity (except with whoever she chooses as part of her team) who has been as responsive as she has been. i could not recommend her more highly if i tried -- and i in fact *have* recommended her to any and all who will listen. oh, and lest i forget -- sylvia and gary (her operations manager, hello gary :-) are *real people* -- and related to us as real people. and that, my friends, makes all the difference. read more

Sylvia was invaluable to my husband and I as we sought to prepare our home for sale and purchase another. She was AMAZING! We needed a lot of help organizing ourselves and determining what needed to be done to our home. She helped us prioritize, offered recommendations for inspections and bids, followed up with us, and generally helped us stay on track. She has a great attention to detail and great contacts within the community. That made everything so much easier. She understood exactly what we were looking for in a new home. She showed us many that were great. But when she and I took a tour of the home that my husband and I would ultimately purchase, we both knew immediately that this was the one. That's how in tune she is. Bottom line, Sylvia is one in a million. We are SO happy that we chose her as our agent. In every way she exceeded our expectations. And she continues to stay in touch and offer value to us as new homeowners. read more
