I would make these comments whilst at the restaurant, but wife didn't feel it was appropriate at the time, but I am more than happy to have a 1-2-1 on my next visit.
Although there is parking in Vine Street, which is at the back of the restaurant, it does have parking warning signs. I tend to find, in the past, that is is OK after 18:00.
Here you'll find the main menu and the takeaway menu is the same, plus a menu for takeaway boxes and wraps.

"The Sylheti (English: /slti/) or Sylhetis are an Indo-Aryan ethnocultural group, that are associated with the Sylhet region (Sylhet Division of Bangladesh and the Karimganj district of south Assam, India)."
The previous restaurant at this location in Redditch was the Redolence.
The owner of the new restaurant has refurbished the place to a very high standard *see pics). All the old metal windows have been replaced, and black blinds have been installed. The kitchen ovens and equipment have all been renewed.
A return to white tablecloths with proper napkins rather than tissue.
Bear in mind the restaurant is unlicensed, so you need to take your own alcohol, otherwise they do sell soft drinks.
There are 70 covers. When my wife and I attended only another couple took up a table whilst we were there - Friday 1st of May. So, we got exceptional attendance by the staff and the owner. We had a shared knowledge of the previous restaurant owners.
Be aware that most of the menu prices are higher than those found locally
The bill came on a Post-It note (see pic). I must presume that they will be electronic in the future.
Popadoms, Tray + Lime Pickle (different from what I'd previous encountered elsewhere and was delicious). The mint raita was a pale green colour, which should be as no colouring had been added. Total cost: £7.25. Requested for three pops, got two, asked for another one, and got two.
Onion Pakora (aka Onion Bhajis) - There were 4 on the plate (too many for my wife, so I helped by eating two). Cost: £4.50.
Nargis Kebab - Tasty, and a good kick of hot spice (not too hot). I really enjoyed this adding the lime pickle off the tray. Cost: £5.95.
Moshla Special (Chicken) - Wife enjoyed the flavour (but eat it all and took the remainder home, and it was consumed by my son). £11.95
Special Mixed Jalfrezi (Fusion Style) - Tender lamb (two pieces), chicken piece (one), tiger prawns (3) and a few small prawns. It says in the description: with hari mirchi, fresh herbs and spices, fairly hot. I didn't find overly hot, and I did like the sauce. I asked for onion and red peppers to be added. The was one small slice of a green pepper and same again for the red. The pieces of onion that were added were under cook and tough to chew, so these were left on the plate. Cost: £14.95 (not sure it was great value for money). This is where the star was lost.
Small bowl of boiled rice shared with my wife, who, fortunately, doesn't like too much rice. Cost: £3.50
A plain naan (spelt nan on the menu). Cost: £3.25.
Total Bill: £51.35.
Personally, I find a large menu selection to be a bit off-putting. My perception is "quantity can let down quality". Ever seen Gordon Ramsey or Alex Polizzi look at huge menus and immediately suggest reducing to a smaller manageable list?
Would I return? Yes, I would, to discuss the points I've made here, and to try something different. read more
