This actually aroused my curiosity about such a hybrid, but lack of restaurant options not being that huge, decided to go. It's a massive space, and we were seated quickly and I headed to the entree/ starter section of the buffet which had a Chinese section (spring rolls, etc) and an Indian section. (Bhajiya, poppadums, etc). Of the options here, I thought pepper fish and pakora were the best - the ribs tasted really tough and so ended up just leaving those on the plate. My next foray was to the Indian part of the buffet, which was heaps smaller than the Chinese - the Indian dishes numbered around 7, while the Chinese buffet dishes easily were around 15-20. Of the options here, the lamb really was the best option, but the rice was super dry. I saw that the chicken dishes (there were x3) were in a very oily looking sauce, so avoided them. Then I headed back to buffet for some Chinese options (fried rice, noodles, pork in 5 spice, stir fried broccoli, chicken in black bean sauce, etc- these were def better tasting then the Indian, but some of the meat pieces I got tasted dry and also sometimes the salt was too much for my palate. The selection of dessert cakes was and sweets was quite large, but the portion itself was quite small. Ice-cream was also available, but I ended up trying the banana custard, and a small cake. Both tasted okay. All in all, I did get fed, and for a decent price too (£7.99 per person), however am unsure if would go back here again.

I went there for a friend's Birthday, and they accommodated a group of 14 with excellent efficiency and attentiveness. When you arrive at the Crossed Khukris, you are welcomed by the staff, most of who are dressed in traditional clothing, offering a delightful splash of exotic colour to a cold January evening! The walls feature some fascinating carvings, and lovely pictures, and the atmosphere is great. Food wise, the menu is wide ranging and reasonably priced Whilst there are some of the predictable favourites on there, it also offers options which are more specific to the region (Nepal, not Nuneaton). Food is cooked fresh, so the wait may be a little longer than you might expect, though never too long. The staff are always around to get you another drink, and at the end of the night, they bring you mint chocolate. Can it get much better? If you're in the area, then it's well worth a visit, whether for a special occasion, or simply a night out with your partner, family or friends.

This restaurant is far too good to have a bought-in roulade on the menu, so try one of the fresh Indian dishes instead!! Now that's REALLY fair - I asked for the bill and when it arrived the waiter told me he'd not charged me for the dessert because it was his recommendation and I didn't like it so much. The past two times we ordered meals from them were very disappointing (the last meal went in the bin!) It's such a shame when restaurants start off so well. My wife and I had the Chicken Masala, a chicken curry dish, a cauliflower potato veggie, and a coconut and almond naan- Peshwari Naan. And it was all excellent. Give this restaurant a chance. They have friendly, great service with delicious food. It was a welcome change from the "typical" English food that we had eaten while in London.

Solid Indian food in a trendy, modern environment…read more Boyfriend and I came here with my stepdad for a Christmas Eve feast, and did we ever feast! We ordered a few different dishes, mostly to share including eggplant curry, a paneer curry, and chicken with two sauces. We started by sharing the ostrich - super unique, but it was expensive and difficult to discern that it was a meat I hadn't tried before. The curries were tasty and well flavoured, as was the rice we got on the side. My stepdad's dish came with rice already on a neat, complete plate. The naan was pretty good, although not my favourite I've ever had. We had chai to finish the meal, which was a bit over-creamy for me, but that's likely due to Canadian milk not having as high a fat percentage as English milk, for the most part. A good, solid Indian meal in an enjoyable atmosphere.
