No food warmers were on the table to keep food warm as other guests seemed to have. My daughters ordered some fried chicken and were given tough bits of chicken on a plate. The rest of the food was just about ok. The restaurant decor is extremely dated and in extreme need of extensive modernisation. It could also be the case that it's somewhat, perhaps even literally, in the shadow of popular Chinese restaurant Lee Garden next door. It's quite easy to overlook Shalbon and forget it's there. I can't forget it though, there's an aromatic reminder every day. I really should be paying them for the privilege.
