The interior is decked out in stylish woods and deep red walls, with authentic musical instruments from the Middle East dotted around the place. The tone is stylish and grown-up, which is why the restaurant is popular with everybody - private diners, large parties and corporate events. For my hubby and I, Kismet was the perfect setting for a romantic meal for two. I went for the Chicken Tikka Balti, which positively sizzled as it was delivered to our table. At just under £7 I found this to be really reasonable and I paid an extra £1 so I could get my hands on some lovely mushrooms. What a great evening, I only wish Kismet were closer to my home. The service was great, their fully licensed bar satisfied our needs and we came out wishing we hadn't driven. I've said it once, but I'll say it again, you'll struggle to find anywhere else this sophisticated outside of the city centre.

Soft fish with that spice and a crunchy breadcrumb was fusion British cuisine at its best. Two of the diners I was with had the king prawns which I also tried, also delicious! He prawns were so tender and sweet, impressive cooking. For mains I had a mixed curry, paspuran Korahi, prawn, lamb and chicken in a tomato sauce. Medium spiced it was delicious. Add a bottle of wine and it was a great evening.

They have friendly, great service with delicious food. It was a welcome change from the "typical" English food that we had eaten while in London.

I love that they give you two plates of desserts after each meal, which is such a nice touch. It is a bit pricey and the space feels a bit cramped when it's busy, but the quality of the food and the great service make up for it. We went for my dad's birthday and everyone loved it so much we came back for more. We always bring friends who are new to the city and they always leave happy. Definitely recommend!
