One of best Curry Houses I've been to. I had the Chicken puri to start with which was superb. I then had the Lamb Dopiza which was good but not quite as amazing as the starter. The rest of the family really enjoyed the meal even my picky father who wont eat anything that has been anywhere near an onion. The staff were great and very attentive. This was an excellent find for my wife and I. Visiting relatives in Halifax and found this gem of an Indian restaurant mostly by accident. The people running the place are very friendly and attentive. The food is excellent! Some of the best curry I have had in a long time. I ordered the Handi Gosht, and my wife the Chicken Tika Masala. Both were excellent and rich with flavour. Especially the Handi. We also had lamb samosas that were great too. The garlic naan is served on a huge spiked pole! They tailor the spice level to whatever you prefer and are fine with changing it if it's not hot enough. This place is cash or cheque only, and is BYOB. There's a great brew pub across the street where you can buy bottles to go and bring them into the restaurant. Overall a very satisfying experience I would recommend to any curry lover! read more

Our favourite restaurant in and around Halifax by quite a margin. Very good food, welcoming and efficient staff and no corkage. What's not to like?! As others have said the Nans are enormous - try the garlic ! Always full so best to arrive early. The secret of success appears to be the fact that the owner is there all the time ensuring that everything is done to her satisfaction. And she has high standards! read more

Good food - always busy - do takeaway service too....oh, and you can take your own drinks there I believe it's still cash only Only complaint as a local living round the corner are the customers who constantly block the access to the houses behind because they can't manage to park in one of the numerous car parks nearby, or walk 20 yards to pick up their meal. read more
