I have visited this place several times and on the whole it has been "ok", the carvery is good quality, but be prepared to queue to order food and then at the carvery area. We went for a family meal this Bank Holiday all prepared to queue for the carvery as we had been out of the country for a while and fancied something tasty and wholesome, we had booked the week previously. On arrival at 6pm there were people walking out in disgust as they were unable to be served, the carvery had been stopped as they had not prepared enough vegetables, but we were still able to order off the main menu. We did this, 5 of my family got served their food after 40 mins, a further 20 minutes later my food of sausage and mash arrived, my family had finished their eating but were happy to wait for me but it looked and smelt awful, the mash which is usually gorgeous was hard, cold and dry, the waitress noticed my face and offered to sort it out but by this time I had had enough, she came back and offered me a free cake but I didn't want a cake, in the end she took the food back and reimbursed my meal, I left disappointed and still hungry. Out of my family 2 meals had to be sorted out as one was incorrect and one was such a meagre portion and the ham had more fat than meat that we asked for it to be sorted. Hopefully this is a one off occurrence but be warned. read more
