The hills around Bingley are spectacular and the view is second to none in this little village. The menu is the same as all other Village Inns, including chefs specials. The food is good and hearty, with some tasty starters. Cooked well, although the lamb was pretty tough. Overall the eating was good. Although there are better pubs, serving quality cooked meals, in the Village Inn family (Namely the Calverley Arms). Worth a visit for the view and pleasant beer garden.

The pork belly was cooked perfectly resulting in two clean plates. So to have a long time resident (and now housemate) say on my first night in, "there's this brilliant pub down the road. You can go there for a drink and just to chill out", well it seemed too good to be true. It takes years to find that perfect little spot where you can get the beer you like for the price you want, surrounded by people who don't vex you or drink till they want to fight you. Where you can chat if you want, or squirrel yourself away with a pint and a book if you don't.... doesn't it? Well apparently not. I found the renovated Bridge to be incredibly welcoming. Really comfortable,an authentic pub. The staff are really nice and are happy to chat away. The beers (being Kirkstall brewery) are all excellent. Some of the "guest beers" are a little on the pricey side but that ok (Save them for your birthday). Upstairs is a very nice "proper pub" setup and the downstairs (which you could be forgiven for missing) is another bar entirely, with little nooks to hideaway in and access to outside. Its also where they keep the loos so be sure to go looking for it eventually. They have a quiz night, which is a win. They're set in a really nice area. And if you want they'll serve you next to any drink in a tankard (these things matter you see). I've not tried the food but i'm sure it'll do the trick if the rest is anything to go by. I've been three times in my first week in bramley and will probably make a habit of going much more often. Well done guys :-)

It's a grand building just minutes away from Christ Church and I'm pleased to say it's a real pub. Wholesome food and real cask ales. Indeed, you'll find ample casked ales and all of them are good. Nice selection of other wines and spirits adds to its appeal. If you do want some nourishment the menu is impressive with roasts sitting along side more exotic penne infused with goat's cheese. The price is more than reasonable as well. On a Sunday you can get your full on roast and a starter for under nine pounds. Now that is good value for money for a tasty fill up and little room left for pudding. As for the puddings they do have an enticing naughty board. Maybe your eyes are bigger than your stomach though. The Empress did indeed impress.

It has no television screens, instead prefering to create an authentic, old school pub environment in which people have to socialise and talk, rather than stare blankly at a sports match. This gives the place its own rather different vibe - friendly and chatty while still remaining intimate and private if you want it to be. Good fresh beers and standard pricing, it is the perfect place to either start a night out in Ilkley or just to have one pint. The Queen's Head is also the proud owner of a sound courtyard drinking area. It's old school, but it's good.

Don't be swayed by the Red Lion's enticing beer garden, the Queen's Head has one too! Just come here, now.
