If you're out enjoying the beautiful countryside in this neck of the woods and looking for a good place to eat, I can recommend The Wellington Inn, Darley. I'd had it recommended to me! Good food in lovely surroundings, the interior of The Wellington is lovely too, old stone floors etc.
I went for the gammon and wasn't disappointed. Washed it down with a very good pint of Landlord. Will definitely be back. If you fancy a nice walk before, or after, try Fewston or Swinsty reservoirs. Swinsty is the shorter of the two and probably better if you've children with you.
For the more adventurous there's Thruscross Reservoir, the paths aren't as good on this one. Did it in September one year and was amazed at how many different types of funghi we came across. All the reservoirs are within about 10 mins of The Wellington by car. If you're after stuff for the home Darley Mill is just down the road from The Wellington. The Wellington is nicely situated if you're on a trip out to Fountains Abbey or Brimham Rocks. One last recommendation, if you're looking for guaranteed savings on your bills check out:-
