The Narrow Boat is one of a chain now which includes the Bah t'at at Ilkley. Situated in the canal basin at Skipton and with lovely views over the canal. Comfortable seatng areas and large bar and if we ever get any good weather a great seated area outside as well. Large windows with imposing pillars on the outside asssures you of a light airy feeling but still maintaining a cosy atmosphere.
They now also have opened up a large function room above for special occasions or an overflow when busy.
All different tastes are catered for and there are specials boards, lunch and evening menus a la carte etc. So if you want a snack or a larger meal you will find it here.
We have been to some of their speciaility nights , which are fantastic, also in a large group and as a couple. All times the staff are attentive and friendly and the food has been good. The speciality nights were fabulous. The last time we went it was not as good as usual but I believe at the time they had had some stafffing problems in the kitchen.
Brasserie style food, snack, soups and sandwiches or more refined is available and I am sure you will find what you want.
They serve a large variety of local cask ales and continental beers/lagers on draught. All at reasonable prices. Usually has a good atmosphere can be a bit chaotic at the height of the tourist season, not their fault. Just people desperate to get a seat.
Easy access for wheelcahirs but you may get your teeth rattled out on the cobbles as you enter!!
