Possibly the best roast dinner in Lancashire!
After a short walk around Pendle Hill we popped into this establishment. This is an upmarket place and it was busy with folk having Sunday lunch so we sat in the bar area, but they were willing to accommodate us if more were eating. Therefore I cannot comment on the restaurant areas of this pub.
As this pub is now owned by the seafood group, there is a lot of seafood on the menu or the specials board which I would like to go back and try.
I chose the Sunday Roast as it was cheaper than most things on the menu at £13.50 and a pint of diet coke would set you back £2.50. The Sunday roast isn't on the menu but on the blackboard. This is seriously the best Sunday roast that I have had in a long time. None of it was overcooked, dry, shrivelled. It was delicious and the beef was tender and tasty. The dessert didn't disappoint either, I had the knickerbocker glory. Whilst we were eating the main, they rubbed off the Sunday Roast off the blackboard. Glad we got there in time!
This is a walker and dog friendly pub and there seemed to be a good vibe. read more
