Probably won't be back. This resturant has never really stood out as anything amazing to me and a friend and I went there for a 3rd time last week hoping them had a nice patio. The patio was cute and the waitress was nice but the food took longer then it should have for a chicken sandwich and a club. They forgot our mayo, my chicken was burnt with no flavor, my friends club came on a ciabatta roll which she had to take off because the bottom was soaked and falling apart. this restaurant is very underwhelming. it's neat and different if a place in southwestern illinois serves shark- but it wasn't enough to make up for the subpar food. the pulled pork sandwich is something you can be alright with, but going to SugarFire for something like that would be much better of a decision. the shark bites were interesting to try, but not something i would go for again. the staff is very nice and welcoming, and we were taken care of promptly, seated quickly, and treated with respect and kindness. i probably won't come back to this restaurant, personally. read more

Saturday, 2/11/17 We were in the area and everywhere was pretty packed. So we decided to come here. Dont get me wrong the food is really decent, it's just wasnt my first choice. I have visited all of the Syberg locations and this is the newest one. Its always clean here and I like the layout of the restaurant. It is not as big as the Dorsett location however . There is a dining area with booths and tables and a bar area with high-top tables that is first come first serve. There are multiple TVs along the walls of the dining area, the waiting section, and above the bar so for sure you won't miss the sports action of your choice. We sat in the bar area and received prompt service. I ordered a bacon cheeseburger w/fries and a s/o of onion rings. The bf ordered lobster mac. My burger was good- nothing over the top. Fries were just standard frozen crinkle cuts(and I like them) and the onion rings were nicely seasoned and evenly.coated with delicious batter. The BF was not thrilled with his food. The Sybergs experience is a solid 3.5 star experience. I have never had a bad experience at any of the locations so i will always return. read more

We arrived about 5:15p. We were seated pretty quickly. I started with the 5 finger app platter. sooooo not worth $15, at least not for us. You get 3 cheese sticks, 3 buffalo wings, 3 potato skins, &3 shrimp wonton dealies. They were good but kinda small. I was the only one who ate the hot wings. I ordered the brown sugar wings and homemade chips. the chips were really tasty. I do like bar/pub chips. I honestly thought the brown sugar would be like this sticky salty sweet kind of sauce. I was so wrong! They tasted like regular hot wings. I asked to exchange them for teriyaki wings. those were better and good just not what I wanted. I will be back the food was not horrible. We've been going to the O'Fallon, IL location for several years. We prefer the bar area and often go just for the apps and drinks. I am a HUGE fan of their Lynchburg Lemonade - it's the best! So are the onion rings; better than any others. Fun spot to watch a game and the service is always attentive. Loved when they had live music. I hope they start that back up. read more

My second time here and last sorry guys, this place is very well located for me but unfortunately I had a poor experience the first time but thought to give it a second as things happen. The service needs lots of work, our server left dirty dishes from our appetizer on the table and failed to check on us after an uninterested kitchen staff brought our food. The French Onion soup obviously from some kind of can had shredded cheese of undetermined variety thrown in the bottom. My burger was cooked perfectly and I enjoyed one of best burgers I've had but given that the poor service and shitty soup it just can't couldn't overtake it. I'm a little disappointed.. I brought visiting family members here and we watched everyone around getting their food while we waited. We sat for quite some time waiting on drinks and or refills. I found this to be terribly annoying. The food was pretty good, cold fries all around which indicates food was waiting to be served. I would not need to re-visit anytime soon. read more

One of my favorite places to get bar type food. Buffalo Chicken Wrap is yummy! Good for the entire family.

It was actually nice enough to sit on the patio! Service was good. Aimee took great care of us. Beer and wine selection was solid. We had a variety from the menu: shark bites to start (pretty nice), steak, chicken meatball pizza, and I had the Cajun burger sans bun. We went here with a large group of people on a Tuesday night. While it was a good setting for a large group, as they were accommodating and it was not too busy. The service was also good. However, the food was not so good. The bread brought to the table was both hard and old-tasting. The toasted ravioli was bland and dry. The sauce with the toasted ravioli had a sweet taste. The fries are also terrible. I would rather just make my own frozen french fries. This place was recommended to me so I gave it a try. Since it was a nice day, my mother and I opted to sit out on the patio. The atmosphere of this place was fun. They had a fire pit on the patio. There were people relaxing and having some drinks but also families. The service was great! Everyone we dealt with was friendly. The food was delicious as well. They have daily specials and since it was a Wendesday one of the specials was steak which is what my mom had. It was a good portion of steak and your choice of one side for $10. She ordered hers medium rare and that is exactly what she got. It was a good piece of meat and not tough at all. Came here on a Wednesday night, Kennedy was our server. My mom asked for a decaf coffee, to which the server told her she could make some but it would be a few minutes. My mom said okay, and 2 minutes later the server comes back with coffee & my mom said it was ice cold. So assuming she was too lazy to make a fresh pot, and just gave my mom regular coffee instead. It makes sense because every time we would be looking around for our server, she would be sitting down at the bar talking. She wasn't friendly, she gave the bare minimum service. Also, the food was hot garbage. The bathrooms resemble that of a truck stop bathroom. I recommended this place this night because precious times I've come here it's been good. You'd think places/servers in Illinois would be happy to finally be back to indoor dining but it seems like this place needs to tighten up. There were no menus due to the coronavirus. I ordered a glass of Pinot Grigio and a wrap. The Pinot Grigio was more costly than the wrap! I asked the bartender after I paid my bill how many kinds of Pinot Grigio they offer? She said two. Of course the other was two dollars less expensive! Went to Sybergs on 16 Feb 2014 (Sunday) around 4:30 pm. Our server initials are A.F. The foods were okay, but she was the main reason that we will never go back there again. We ordered 6 chicken wings, seafood salad, gumbo, shark tacos, grand margarita and a good island beer. The chicken wings were just okay and on the dry side. The seafood salad was okay with maybe 8 big shrimps and imitation crab meats. Shark tacos were pretty good actually, but I think any fish would have made the taco better. The gumbo was NOT gumbo! Minestrone soup plus spicy sausage does not a gumbo make! If Sybergs have any questions about how to cook Gumbo, please contact me. When we were almost done with our meal we start noticing something that was missing from our table. Sybergs serves bread and butter for free after you sit down, well... we didn't get ours. So we asked nicely for our bread, and at this moment A.F turned horrible. She placed the bread at our table and walked away. No sorry, no "let me know if you need anything"... she just turned and walk away. After the bread was done, we waited and waited for our bill. And we waited some more. Then A.F. parted the other servers like she was in a slow motion portion of an action film. She placed the bill on the table, turned and walked away. I had my credit card in the folder ready and I held it up and I waited for someone, anyone to pick up the bill.... and I waited and waited. A.F. walked by our table twice without taking my credit card. That's when I knew it was personal. Why??? Was it because I called her out on a "bread" mistake? For that, you got a $2 tip on a $53 bill. Congratulations, you are the FIRST server I tipped lower than 15%... ever! A.F. thanks a lot. Finally a sports bar in southern Illinois that doesn't rely on grease to mask the lack of flavor in their food! Syberg's offers a unique menu and excellent specials. I always have to order the shark bites cooked Cajun style. I love that they serve them with fresh fruit instead of French fries...it's always refreshing to see restaurants heading in the healthy direction. Today they have $3 Pearl vodka you-call-its. Basically any flavor of Pearl vodka and any mixer. Considering Pearl makes every flavor of vodka under the sun, your selection is only hindered by your imagination. Went there last night expecting a great time and great food. Well....it started out on a high note and went south very quickly. We ordered the wings and cajun shark bites. Both of which were amazing! Loved them both! The sauce that the wings are dipped in is great and the shark bites are to die for! The rapid decline came when we received our entrees. I ordered the Provel Chicken Sandwich (recommended by the bar tender) and my girlfriend ordered the Chicken Strip Wrap. The sandwich I received was an absolute mess and the chicken was undercooked. Not to mention it tasted horrible. The french fries were stale and cold. Almost seemed that they had been sitting there since the lunch rush. I ate about a third of it and gave it back, all the while telling the bar tender that it was no good. He didn't seem to care one bit. The next thing that bothered me was when the female bar tender grabbed a poured glass of beer (Bud Light) out of the refrigerator (this glass of beer had sat in the refrigerator for well over thirty minutes). She grabbed the glass, stirred it with a straw to give it some fizz and served it. Seriously? Beer is cheap, especially Bud Light. Pour it out and draw a new one. The last observation I made was the lady behind me that ordered a salad. She had to get an extra plate to place all of the wilted and rotten leaves on. Just short of half her salad was on that plate. She told the waitress about it, the waitress mumbled something. We waited to see what would be done about it. Fifteen minutes later........NOTHING. I certainly hope what I experienced was a fluke. Went to Syberg's in O'Fallon, IL on a Friday evening. The juke box was playing good music. Music was loud but okay. We ordered a Cajun Pepper Jack Burger & Syburger. I took about 15 - 20 mins to get the food - not to bad. Ordered the burgers medium rare and the cook did a superb job. We had a great time and the food was absolutely perfect. Below was my original review. They gave us a gift certificate and we went back. I have to say it was much better service. The waitress was the problem before. Will we go back. Possibly. Went there and never got our food , we waited for over an hour. All we got was our appetizers and drinks. When I asked how long it would be for our food to come out, our waitress brought us some bread. After seeing people come in at least a half hour after we were seated and see them receive their food before we got ours we decided to leave. The manager refused to come to our table. I have been to Sybergs in St Louis and had no problems. I do not plan on giving the Syberg's in O'Fallon IL any of my business. Was contacted by manager and was told the waitress never put our order in. He was very nice and sent a gift certificate. If you go there make sure you tell the waitress to put the order in. A few of my friends wanted to check this place out and so we decided to catch a Thursday night Blues game at Syberg's. We didn't know what to expect, but we had high hopes. Our high hopes were immediately washed away when it took almost 10 minutes to get greeted by our server. We asked her what the drink specials were and she informed us that the drink specials could only be purchased on the bar side of the store. We had never heard of this and thought it was strange so we didn't get any special. For what it's worth, their 'special' was $14 for a bucket of 5 domestics. I was pretty taken back because you can get the same thing for $10 at 3 different places within 5 miles of Syberg's. We nail in the coffin was when our server brought us our drinks almost another 10 minutes after ordering AND not one drink had any carbonation. There was no head, which was good, but there were zero bubbles coming from the bottom. Turns out it was very warm. We each took a sip to confirm our suspicions and we informed our server that we did not want to pay for the drinks and we were going to leave. When our server brought us our check for the pretzel appetizer that we ordered, she tossed the check book in front of me. All of us were taken back because we feel we did not do anything to personally offend her and that her actions were unacceptable. We had high expectations but the prices, quality of drinks, and service did NOT win us over. read more

Went there today with my husband and toddler for lunch. We ordered the shark appetizer, friend chicken special and t bone steak. All the food was fresh but, everything was sooooo salty you can't even hardly eat anything :( from the free bread , salad , fries , shark to the friend chicken was coasted with a layer of salt. I've been here a few times for lunch and I've gone with a mix of appetizers most times. The menu is pretty limited in my opinion. Much more so than one would think when you see them advertising as the "eating and drinking company." The appetizers are very good though, especially the wings and shark chunks. I was very disappointed by the pizza when I had it. The salads are really outstanding, some of the best croutons I've ever had. Staff is always attentive and friendly. We went to Sybergs when it first opened because we have went to their other location in St Louis and loved their food and was excited that there was now one on the Illinois side of the river and out experience was above average and the food was good but the service was the only reason for not being 5 star. I love eating wings but hate the sauce being on the wings and I asked for the sauce to be but on the side twice and after about 45 minutes of waiting they come out with sauce all over them. Now usually the server would ask if you would like them to make another order without but we didn't get that option. It was just put on the table and that was kind of that. We have not been back to this location but would consider it again down the road. Like I said food was great just wish the service was better. read more

For a newly opened restaurant, this place seemed to run like a well-oiled machine. The service was fantastic. Our server arrived at our table minutes after we were seated and she checked on us frequently, but not so much so that we felt we were being hurried along or hovered over. Our food was tasty, arrived hot and was cooked perfectly. I had the mahi mahi sandwich and it was very delicious. I ordered sweet potato fries as a side item, and they were plentiful, although overly salty. Still they were crispy and hot, so I can get past them being too salty. My husband had a burger and fries, which he devoured and loved. My kids ordered from the children's menu. My older daughter had a pizza, with fries as a side item. The pizza was huge and had a cracker thin crust and was just delicious. I am going to order the pizza next time...it was that good. My youngest daughter had mac 'n cheese with a side of fruit. The mac 'n cheese looked like it was not homemade, but my daughter ate every bite, along with nearly all of her fruit (which was fresh fruit and not fruit cocktail). We all really enjoyed our dinner, and since it's rare to find a place all four of us can agree upon, I know we'll be back. Good food..good service...and a great atmosphere. read more
