Baseball fields, basketball courts, soccer fields, tennis courts, football fields, hiking trails, and a kids jungle gym. You can tell the community really cares about their space here! All in all a very nice park with tons of activities! They also do movie nights in the park in the summer! This park pretty much has everything; playgrounds, open spaces, ball fields, basketball courts, a hiking trail (allegedly...we couldn't find it, but that was most likely our fault,) walking paths, etc, etc. Despite being so large, it's also rather connected, if that makes sense, and you're able to get to everything relatively quickly. The park is more "open" than "large." For example, you can get from one playground to another, without having to take a trek. There is a ton of space, but you're able to traverse the space to navigate the park. There's also plenty of parking. Also, they do drive in movies and stuff here, AND, it's dog friendly, so there aren't too many negatives. The only "downside" I could see is that it got pretty busy, and just being crowd-phobic by nature, it's less than ideal for me. We'll definitely be back early and often.

If you live locally it may be worthwhile but the drive for me was such a waste of my time for what this was. Ready? It's a: Big Wooden Castle Yep, that's it, folks. A gigantic version of that swingset-clubhouse combo you bought at Costco only to rot in your backyard because spiders and rain made it so unpleasant for kids that they refuse to use it. It's that creepy clubhouse times 30! It's pretty much a regular playground with most kids swarming the swings and other play features with a few venturing into the old wood play structure. They go in once and don't go back in again. My son was cursed at by older boys who appeared beyond the age guidelines (and I was surprised to see them still interested in a playground). In the myopic darkness of the castle, my son banged his head when inside the dank structure there was suddenly an unmarked (unlit) drastic change in ceiling height. Needless to say this experience was a turn off. Most kids really preferred being out in daylight because the castle felt more like a dungeon. It was fun to see friends and we enjoyed the togetherness of the play date but unless I'm in the area and desperate for a kid distraction, I won't be back.

The play area for older children has a very high slide and smaller slides for younger kids. There are swings for older children and bucket swings for the littles. The whole area has rubber tire below, so falls are not near as bad. There is a small rock climbing wall, ropes, and a good variety of things to do. The only time you want to avoid the park is on really hot days midday. The playground isn't at all shaded, so it can get very hot. There is also a pavilion area right next to the playground that is nice for having lunch. There are bathrooms there as well. In the summer, the ice cream truck is almost always there, so either bring cash or prep your kids that you won't be getting ice cream. haha! There are also fields all around the playground where you can walk the path, pull kids in a wagon, or ride on a bike as my kids like to do.

The playground is suitable for all ages with toddler swings/harnesses on one side of the playground and teen/adult swings on the other side. There are 2 different setups right next to each other. One is for older children and the other is for the younger children. The younger setup is arranged like a ship. There are 2 slides attached and some activities. The 2nd setup has multiple slides with multiple levels. The only way to get up to level 3 is by ladder, but the 2 slides on that level are pretty fun. I would say the playground is more for ages 3+, but fun can still be had by all. There are fields all around for football, soccer, or any other sport you can think of. Parking for the playground is limited with about 15 spots, but you can park on the grass all around the playground.

There is a lot of large equipment, but not a whole lot of variety or imagination in the different interactive functions. Reeves Park's playground (Phoenixville), Smith Memorial Playground (Fairmount Park), Freedom Playground (Haverford), and Aston Twp's new playground all have really imaginitive stuff, and just as large of an expanse (if not larger). I also have to give props to the Reeves Park and Freedom playgrounds for being fenced in (Smith is, but it's so big, the fence is not as containing as it could be). Kids Dream is not fenced, unfortunately, because it is a layer of safety I always appreciate, for young kids who run, and also just to keep out wandering dogs (the ones on a long leash whose caretakers aren't paying attention) or to dissuade sketchy people from hanging around (sorry but they're everywhere). There is a nearby walking trail, and it's also adjacent to township offices (shared parking lot). I do have to comment that there was a bit of litter generally around, which is never okay for a kids' playground. Also, this playground is pretty crowded. Parents seemed adequately considerate, but honestly, all the abovementioned playgrounds had a better vibe to me. Maybe because this place was built up by my recommendation and the reviews, but it wasn't as great as my expectations (and comparative experiences).

The kids really enjoy running around and playing on the different playground structures, including the spinning jungle gym thing and the huge swing! In addition to that great playground, they also have a nice long trail to walk around the whole park, lots of open space to use otherwise (I've seen people playing volleyball before), other sports courts such as basketball right near the playground, and one of my favorites, the fitness court! That's a great place to do some exercises that I've sometimes seen folks do on a playground, but this one is customized for exercise. Weather's still not fully there yet, but I may get back out there soon to use that equipment again!

Its completely free and is a lot of fun for younger kids. Half of it is a water spray park with various different forms of sprinklers and sprayers for kids to run through. The other half is a very modern playground with interesting new versions of the traditional rides. It just opened in summer '16 so everything is the latest models in great condition. The playground is attached to the Rec Center which has a basketball court, ping pong tables and other games. But the center would be a separate review. Theres also private rooms to rent out for birthday parties or other events. Clean bathrooms and plenty of parking is a bonus.
