Knight's Park is an excellent place for a daily walk, jog, or run, and it consistently feels safe and comfortable to spend time in. It is the kind of space that naturally invites you to slow down and just move a little, whether that means a casual stroll or a more focused workout. Being located right across from a high school adds a familiar, lived-in neighborhood feel. It also brings back personal memories; I used to spend a lot of time here growing up around 8 or 9 years old, either alone or with a friend, just passing time and enjoying the space without much thought. Even now, I still get the occasional urge to go back for a walk, even though I live closer to other parks. That says a lot about how comfortable and pleasant the environment is. It also works surprisingly well for casual social settings, including a low-pressure first date walk where the focus is just conversation and being outside rather than anything overly structured. It is simply a dependable, enjoyable local park that consistently delivers a good experience.

There is an obscene amount of baseball fields, but there is also a nice paved trail, a playground, a lake, Bocci ball courts, a hill, soccer fields, etc. I'm sure I'm missing something. If I had a nit pick, I would like the walking path to be a little bit longer, but that's just me being pedantic at that point. Recommended.

After a beer and a pizza, I was drawn to the three-quarter mile walking path that loops around the park. Smooth enough to be handicapped accessible, it was a comfortable way to work off some calories and spin down towards bedtime. Great park with plenty of parking. ****Wintertime Only Review****…read more We heard this park was a great place to sled in the area, so when we got enough snow this year to partake, we pulled out the sleds and headed on down. Gotta say; they were right. While the park WAS a bit crowded, there was still enough room for everyone to get a "lane" to sled. I particularly liked how there was a big hill, for the teens and more adventurous types, and then a smaller, but still useful hill for the little ones. (Also, if you came in basically sideways, where the entry way to the park is, it was basically a medium sized hill.) There is a playground and tons of open space, and even though it was PACKED, there was a lot of room for parking. Signage was a little off, as there is a "bridge" in the parking lot, and someone literally drove their car off of it in the snow, because it wasn't marked. *shoulder shrug* I'm nitpicking at this point. I'm sure this park is just as nice in the nice weather, and it's definitely our first stop for sledding if an when it snows again.

Ample parking and close proximity to Dippy's ice cream stand on route 45 make this park worth the extra miles in our book.

Living in Central Jersey, we decided to visit the playground after our trip to the Cherry Hill Mall down in the Southern New Jersey region. Firstly, Fort Medford is unique in style and variety of playground equipment, notably in the wooden castle/fort-like structure that serves as the focal piece of the overall playground. This structure provides several towers/turrets that reach about 7-9 feet high that is accessible through the built in steps. These towers are then mostly connected via wooden walkways or other playground obstacles that bridge the gap between the different towers, which then range from rope to bars that challenges the navigator's balance and dexterity (level of difficulty varies and may not be suitable for toddlers). There are also a variety of slides built in with this structure along with different swing sets available throughout. However, younger children can play in a more modern playground set that is a part of the overall playground area. The area and size of the playground is vast relative to other playgrounds that we have been to, and is comparable in size to the Regatta Playground (by Turtle Back Zoo) in North Jersey. This modern playground set is arguably a little less intimidating when it comes to the height for children and offer similar playground amenities (slides/obstacles). For adult consideration purposes, there is a brick-and-mortar restroom facility as well as a covered pavilion which can be used as a shaded/resting area with tables. Overall, this is a great playground for families to take their children to enjoy.
