Beautiful park with three playgrounds, a structured bathroom, large pond, volleyball net and walking trails. My kids loved it here and it was appropriate for all age groups. There were several parties going on under the pavillions and it still didn't seem too crowded. Two ice cream trucks added to the fun. Parking can be an issue if it is a nice day, but you can find space on the grass.

I loooove this park! It is absolutely beautiful! My "BFF" introduced me. There's a lake, where some people were fishing, and many walking trails. I liked the incline. When you get to the top, after climbing steep and long wood steps, there are benches to relax on. Kind of romantic! A few baseball games were going on too. The bathrooms stunk a bit, but Ill let it slide because of the nice (not stellar) sinks and hand dryer.

Great park to walk around, take the dog or the kids. Plenty for the family and they have a real bathroom.

A hidden gem in South Jersey. I was absolutely taken aback by how beautiful the park was. There's a rolling hill that overlooks the whole park and a breathtaking lake to hang out by. I sat in the grass reading and snacking on some Greek food while the breeze blew by. A couple next to me was having a picnic date (so cute!) The ducks came by to keep me company and so did the turtles that were swimming by. There's picnic benches by the front to have an outdoor get-together with loved ones. The bathrooms were clean and located right by the parking lot. I didn't explore the whole area so that's on my radar next time I stop by. You'll feel like you are somewhere in a far off land when you come to this park.

Nice view of the lake while walking a trail

This is one of our favorite parks in Jersey, so far. The little lake that's there provides a nice view, especially when you're up on top of the hill sitting on one of the benches. People also fish in the lake as well. The hill provides a really good view for the sunset as well. There are trails to walk, dog play section, jungle gyms for kids, picnic tables and everything is clean and well kept.

I used to love playing here when I was little and now I love walking my dog here! It's a huge park and it's well maintained and clean and a very positive and happy environment to be in! I especially love the dog park in the back! It's one of the cleanest I've ever been too and it's a great size! So much room for them to run and play!

    Great walking paths.

I so far love every bit of this park. There's plenty of parking, friendly folks, great dog park, a massive hill for a quick workout, clean and wide walking paths, bbq with covered seating, picturesque lake, walking trails in the woods, play grounds for the kiddies.. literally this park has it all. My pup and I are very happy to have found this park so close to home. I like that there's a light at the entrance so it's easy and safe trying to turn left. The dog parks are clean, they have a few benches placed around and walking paths to each gate (small dogs separate from the big dogs). Bags are available if you run out, but no water fountains so come prepared. We have found a few tennis balls and frisbees lying around for use. The ice cream truck comes around once in awhile and typically you can find a bunch of guys playing volleyball.

I'm a hobbyist photographer from the Gloucester Township area and let me tell you, it's extremely hard to find a nice park to take photos in. My friend and I stumbled upon this park after being told about it by a friend, so we took the camera over and gave it a go. I am obsessed with the photos we got! This place has a true nature park feel, with the lake, plants, and beautiful trees. And even though there were plenty of people there, the park is big enough so that I never felt like anyone was in our way! Compared to the parks I normally have to work with, this one is beautiful and I will definitely be coming back, even just to sit back and relax. Attached is a photo I took!

Beautifully quiet and clean. It currently is undergoing construction in a couple areas but once that's done it'll even better for the kiddos. One of the construction areas is actually one of the play areas so I'm excited to see what comes next. There are turtles and fish in the pond. The are orioles nesting in he surrounding trees and Ive actually been able to spot at least three in one day. My kids love it here and so do I. There's no chance of them running into the street. The pond can be tempting because it's not closed off by any barriers that can stop busy body little babes. I've never been in the bathroom here and honestly don't know if there even is one available. Stay away!!! My special quiet spot!

Awesome little park for walking, picnicking, and Pokemon Go - ing (it's basically a Charmander farm!). Enjoy it!

This is the only shade available at the small side of the dog park today. Unacceptable.

Also there's a huge hill here and I loved making my dog play catch on it to help expend his energy running up and down.

The play area for older children has a very high slide and smaller slides for younger kids. There are swings for older children and bucket swings for the littles. The whole area has rubber tire below, so falls are not near as bad. There is a small rock climbing wall, ropes, and a good variety of things to do. The only time you want to avoid the park is on really hot days midday. The playground isn't at all shaded, so it can get very hot. There is also a pavilion area right next to the playground that is nice for having lunch. There are bathrooms there as well. In the summer, the ice cream truck is almost always there, so either bring cash or prep your kids that you won't be getting ice cream. haha! There are also fields all around the playground where you can walk the path, pull kids in a wagon, or ride on a bike as my kids like to do.

The playground is suitable for all ages with toddler swings/harnesses on one side of the playground and teen/adult swings on the other side. There are 2 different setups right next to each other. One is for older children and the other is for the younger children. The younger setup is arranged like a ship. There are 2 slides attached and some activities. The 2nd setup has multiple slides with multiple levels. The only way to get up to level 3 is by ladder, but the 2 slides on that level are pretty fun. I would say the playground is more for ages 3+, but fun can still be had by all. There are fields all around for football, soccer, or any other sport you can think of. Parking for the playground is limited with about 15 spots, but you can park on the grass all around the playground.

Challenge Grove Park will always hold a sentimental place in my heart, as it is the place where I…read moretrained for my first 5K. Four years later, I still find myself driving here from time to time to do the old running route. Besides that, I run through the park on an almost weekly basis, as it is part of my running clubs 12 mile Sunday run. The park is open and welcoming. A year or two ago volunteers built the Build Jake's Place, a "boundless" playground which welcomes children of all abilities and disabilities. During my most recent visit to the park this past week, I noticed that a second new playground area is being built. (I can't find the info now, but I think I read that it is going to be a softball/baseball field of sorts, again for all children, regardless of ability/disability). The park also includes a quarter mile track, restrooms, bocce court, a basketball court, and baseball field. There is also what appears to be a soccer or football field set back behind a wooded area that I have not ventured to, but I often see games being held there. A short walk to the other end of the park brings to to an area of the Cooper River, and a large grassy field area where one could spread out and relax. For the runner or walker, there are also some trails, which Cherry Hill Township has been making a point of maintaining in the last year or two, and has encouraged people to take advantage of these areas. I only recently ventured back in these trails, and they are really beautiful, well maintained, and not long or complicated enough to get you lost. If you prefer the roads, a lap around the entire park (Caldwell Road, Park Blvd., Kings Hwy., and back into the park on Bortons Mill) is about a 1.25 mile run. The park area is also home to the old Croft Farmstead, but I'll be honest... I don't know what goes on in those buildings, just that it's a historic area in the township. One thing the township/county needs to improve are the restrooms. On the occasion that they are actually open, they are absolutely awful. Smelly, filled with graffiti, no paper towels, and just filthy. The water fountains could use some upgrading, too... they are forced to be turned off in the winter because they don't utilize no-freeze technology, and in the summer the water is just hot, and therefore useless to an overheated endurance runner. If the park could fix either one of those things, they'd easily be a 4 or 5 star park in my eyes.
