Nothing beats Laurel Acres Park. Great place to bring the family, friends and pets. They have 2 dog parks (large and small). A couple of nice playgrounds for little ones. Clean bathrooms. Great venue for concerts and sports events. Whether it's baseball or soccer, it's a great park for sports and watching. The path is around 1 mile which is great for walkers or joggers. During the pandemic, this park took the place of some gyms and exercise facilities. Entry on 2 sides---Church Rd and also Union Mill Road. Plenty of parking. Nice gazebos and picnic areas for parties and events. Enjoy the great view over the lake as you walk around. Sometimes they also have remote controlled boat races on the lake. Catch some nature while you're relaxing. read more

Beautiful park with three playgrounds, a structured bathroom, large pond, volleyball net and walking trails. My kids loved it here and it was appropriate for all age groups. There were several parties going on under the pavillions and it still didn't seem too crowded. Two ice cream trucks added to the fun. Parking can be an issue if it is a nice day, but you can find space on the grass. read more

I loooove this park! It is absolutely beautiful! My "BFF" introduced me. There's a lake, where some people were fishing, and many walking trails. I liked the incline. When you get to the top, after climbing steep and long wood steps, there are benches to relax on. Kind of romantic! A few baseball games were going on too. The bathrooms stunk a bit, but Ill let it slide because of the nice (not stellar) sinks and hand dryer. read more

A hidden gem in South Jersey. I was absolutely taken aback by how beautiful the park was. There's a rolling hill that overlooks the whole park and a breathtaking lake to hang out by. I sat in the grass reading and snacking on some Greek food while the breeze blew by. A couple next to me was having a picnic date (so cute!) The ducks came by to keep me company and so did the turtles that were swimming by. There's picnic benches by the front to have an outdoor get-together with loved ones. The bathrooms were clean and located right by the parking lot. I didn't explore the whole area so that's on my radar next time I stop by. You'll feel like you are somewhere in a far off land when you come to this park. read more

This is one of our favorite parks in Jersey, so far. The little lake that's there provides a nice view, especially when you're up on top of the hill sitting on one of the benches. People also fish in the lake as well. The hill provides a really good view for the sunset as well. There are trails to walk, dog play section, jungle gyms for kids, picnic tables and everything is clean and well kept. read more

First time to the park with my dog. Only complaint is that there's no water spigot or water bowls (that we had in our previous park) so we didn't stay as long as I intended. Next time I'll be better prepared. The other ares of the park are very popular and well maintained. read more

This is probably one of the best parks I've ever been to. It's beautiful upon entry and get even better when you go through it. There's 2 entrances to the park because there's two sides to it. On one side you have the sports complex. The landscape is super spacious and has multiple baseball fields, soccer fields , and a huge parking lot. On the other side, it's what I'd call the people complex. It's just as, if not more spacious and has a kids park, a huge hill for anyone to walk up on and view the lake that sits next to the kids park area. It has a volley ball court with real sand. It also has a huge field in the middle of the park, along with a dog park. The dog park is amazing! My 2 pups love it! The dog park is gated and separates small dogs from large dogs by weight. It is absolutely to die for. All the dogs and owners there are super friendly. Everyone makes a friend in the dog park, from the dogs to the owners. We all talk! Definitely recommend going! Make sure you go before sunset because that's when the park closes! read more

There's plenty of parking, friendly folks, great dog park, a massive hill for a quick workout, clean and wide walking paths, bbq with covered seating, picturesque lake, walking trails in the woods, play grounds for the kiddies.. literally this park has it all. My pup and I are very happy to have found this park so close to home. I like that there's a light at the entrance so it's easy and safe trying to turn left. The dog parks are clean, they have a few benches placed around and walking paths to each gate (small dogs separate from the big dogs). Bags are available if you run out, but no water fountains so come prepared. We have found a few tennis balls and frisbees lying around for use. The ice cream truck comes around once in awhile and typically you can find a bunch of guys playing volleyball. read more

This is actually a really nice park here in Mt. Laurel. It's almost a perfect playground spot for the family, and even it's cons aren't really that bad. There are actually 3 playgrounds for the kids; 2 for the older kids, and 1 for the wee tots. This is actually where the first drawback comes in; the 2 big playgrounds are jam packed with equipment and things to do. There is a ton of space, with things to slide down, climb on, run around and traverse. The "toddler" space is just one TINY little apparatus in the middle, with swings on either side. There isn't much room to run around, and the little jungle gym is just this little thing with baby slides. I wish there was more to do for the little ones, as if you do go over to the larger playgrounds, you run the risk of your kid getting steamrolled by much larger kids, running top speed through the area. The big playgrounds are frequently used as hangouts for kids that are probably too old to be running around on playground equipment. Also in the park, you've got a nice walking track that goes around the lake and hill, as well as a large field and 2 dog parks; (1 for small dogs, 1 for large dogs.) Another con is with the dog parks. First, there are almost never any dogs there. I think it's because there is even less to do in the dog parks then there is in the toddler play area. There is no equipment, or anything for the dogs to play with. There is also no shade for the dogs to get out of the elements. The hill looks pretty sweet to sled on, or to burn your glutes in a hill running exercise, and it's really clean and well maintained. There are covered picnic areas for birthday parties and the like, and the lake is stocked with fish. I have seen people fishing, but haven't seen anyone catch anything. read more

I'm a hobbyist photographer from the Gloucester Township area and let me tell you, it's extremely hard to find a nice park to take photos in. My friend and I stumbled upon this park after being told about it by a friend, so we took the camera over and gave it a go. I am obsessed with the photos we got! This place has a true nature park feel, with the lake, plants, and beautiful trees. And even though there were plenty of people there, the park is big enough so that I never felt like anyone was in our way! Compared to the parks I normally have to work with, this one is beautiful and I will definitely be coming back, even just to sit back and relax. Attached is a photo I took! read more

I wish I could pick up the entirety of this park and plop it next to my apartment complex. Laurel Acres ranks among my favorite parks in South Jersey, by far. Gorgeous lake, random-and-huge hill, adorable dogs in the dog park, sprawling walking paths. So many photo-taking opportunities. (Or, I guess, exercising opportunities..) What more could you want? Aside from (obviously) in the winter, you can be sure to find plenty of people enjoying Mt. Laurel's greatest asset -- in one way or another! read more

This is a fantastic park! Their are kids playgrounds (Two that I saw). A hiking trail with creek. Covered picnic tables with shelter, a beautiful lake/pond whatever you want to call it. A veterans memorial and something at the top of a hill that I didn't go to. There are also about 50-65 people walking around the lake in circles, as there happened to be 9 pokestops and 3 lures while I was here. It was great to see so many people out walking, but put the phone down and enjoy your city park! read more

Beautifully quiet and clean. It currently is undergoing construction in a couple areas but once that's done it'll even better for the kiddos. One of the construction areas is actually one of the play areas so I'm excited to see what comes next. There are turtles and fish in the pond. The are orioles nesting in he surrounding trees and Ive actually been able to spot at least three in one day. My kids love it here and so do I. There's no chance of them running into the street. The pond can be tempting because it's not closed off by any barriers that can stop busy body little babes. I've never been in the bathroom here and honestly don't know if there even is one available. I have a very love/hate relationship with this park. The center boasts an enormous hill. Perfect for sledding... or torturing your body into summer-ready shape. For the past few years, I've been taking bootcamp classes on and off with Michele Held, a certified fitness instructor, roughly once a week on average. Michelle is 50 years old, has four kids, and is in better physical shape than any other woman I personally know. Each spring through early fall, Michele holds bootcamp classes at Laurel Acres. It's an hour of nonstop cardio and weight-training, including (of course) the hill, which she affectionately refers to as "the mountain." The hill itself is steep and unforgiving. There is a long staircase on the left side as you face the hill - perfect for running, lunges and other torture. There are benches at the top of the hill that provide a lovely view of the park - also great for squats and tricep dips. There are also running trails, a lake, playgrounds and other traditional park fixtures. I mostly think of the park with feelings of dread, but it's actually a very pretty place when bootcamp doesn't come into play. read more

I was quite disappointed with this dog park most due to the fact that there is so much land but the dog space was tiny and there are never any dogs there for my puggle to interact with when he goes. I am very happy that the dog park was newly configured and updated but I still fail to understand the lack of shade. The large side has 5 trees while the small side has zero. Without shade, it's hard for dogs to catch a break at the park. Also, the lack of a water fountain at the park makes for a thirsty and hot dog and owner. Even the benches are too hot to sit on. Some simple solutions could really make this dog park a staple to visit in south jersey. Many parks have water fountains so dog pools can be brought in to keep them cool and hydrated. There are also no rules posted anywhere before entering the park. That sounds like a huge problem waiting to happen as well. I do like the park, but I won't be returning until it's at least October so my dog can actually stay longer than 20 minutes. I hope to see some improvements soon . read more

They recently redid the whole playground area and it's fantastic! They seriously have everything. There's a smaller kids section and a bigger kids section. They have a super cool swing and an egg pod you can sit in and rock. A merry go round all made very sturdy and colorful. Little puzzle and activities you can do throughout the playground. They even have a big xylophone you can make music on. A balancing beam, plenty of slides and even a really tall one! A boat you can rock on or just ride in. In between the two sections they have a nice fountain. One of the best playgrounds I've brought my daughter to. Our second fave is zelley park in Moorestown read more

Terrible dog park. There are never any dogs there. To make it worse, in the heat of the summer there is no shade in the park but there are trees just outside of the entrance and benches. No one picks up after their dogs here, which is odd because I never see any dogs here... Save yourself the time and go to Freedom park just down the road. Not only is there a huge pond with a paved walkway all around, but there are 2 fenced in parks (one for small dogs, another for large dogs, AND there is also a wooded trail as well. Also there's a huge hill here and I loved making my dog play catch on it to help expend his energy running up and down. Large open areas here as well for running around, playing fetch. Park also has a big playground for kids, as well as a sandy volleyball net! Will definitely be using this park as my go-to for my dog - wish I had known about it sooner! read more

Great park! We went there a lot when our son was little. He's in his 20's now. They have lots of space with a wonderful lake and play areas for the kids. There are of course shelters and areas for grilling. Bathrooms are present but not all that clean but hey, it's not a restaurant. There are woodsy areas to walk in. Several baseball fields. Sometimes there are remote control sailboat races in the lake, which are wonderful to watch. There's a giant hill you can fly kites off of or roll down just for fun. They host all kinds of events. One thing I didn't like was that there are do many ducks and geese that walkways are littered with their droppings. If you ride a bike or jog along the trail (and jogging is scenic but difficult when there are the little kids in the bikes there) you get goose poop sprayed all up your back. read more

We have our annual office picnic here. This is a really nice park. There are 3 different playground sets so there is plenty to keep the kids busy. My three year old niece was in heaven. There's a nice pond and plenty of parking and lots of grass. Theres a covered picnic area. Bathrooms are nice (well a lot nicer than park bathrooms you will find in Philly.) read more

It's a nice little park. The township fills the pond with fish so you can fish here during the season. There's a small nature trail around the side that goes all the way to the baseball fields on the far side. There's a few kid playground areas, something like what you'd see at an elementary school, except three of them three. There's bathrooms, with some vending machine nearby, and a covered picnic table area thing. There always seems to be a few people here. During the weekends it's quite lively. Also, there's the iconic hill that people use to slide down during the winter. There's also a Pokemon gym and 10 pokestops here. read more

Great playground for my son plus NJ stocks the pond with trout two or three times before trout season is open. It is the most densely stocked pond in NJ with respect to number of fish to size. Secondly and most importantly, it has the biggest and best sledding hill in the area. Just fresh off sledding with my oldest a couple weekends ago. read more

I have used this Park in the past, with my trainer, near my condo, it is great place for my prowler & boot camp work outs. Though they had problems with Canadian Geese leaving their fecal matter everywhere , they also have tents set up for parties , etc. I went here couple years back for kids b-day party , quite nice. They have this hill you can go up & it gets quite steep, use yr equipment , Kettle-bells for farmers walk, , gotta get back there again. read more

We came for the dog park. It is very well kept and seems to be family-oriented. The dog areas are separated according to size. The dog owners are normally respecting towards you and your dog and shew their dog away if they are bothering you or your dog. There are also picnic tables so you can make a day of it and bring lunch as well. read more

This park is a great place to hold almost any type of party...especially children's birthday parties. The pavillion is very nice and you can reserve it for a reasonable fee. You can rent the whole or half the pavillion and they have grills that can be used. Bathrooms are also accessible. It has a lake in the center so you do have to keep an eye on the younger ones from wanting to go in for a dip. The play ground is spread out and has enough for every child, young or old. read more

I enjoy the dog park area at Laurel Acres Park. It's fenced off with an area for large dogs and an area for small ones. Most dog owners are respectful with well behaved dogs. I find this a lot less overwhelming than Freedom Acres where loose dogs are zipping around at all times without any owners nearby. This is a lot more calm and everyone is there to control his/her dog. Thumbs up! read more

**DOG PARK** It's a decent sized park-- no water available so bring your own. The park itself is nice, but I think there really should be more guidelines posted at the park. One side is for dogs 40lbs and under and the other is 40lbs and over. People constantly bring their SMALL dogs (and I mean like 15-20lbs) to the large dog side if there are no small dogs to play with. Although your small dog may be OK with a big dog, it doesn't mean the big dogs will be okay with yours. Some big dogs have prey drive and cannot be around smaller dogs. It is not a good situation to put any of the dogs in. In addition, I've seen a few circumstances where people bring their dogs into the park ON A LEASH. This is dog park etiquette 101-- when you bring your dog in on a leash it can feel defenseless and unnecessary fights occur that may not have happened otherwise. I think it comes down to the fact that people just don't know any better. A lot of dog parks have these guidelines listed and posted on the outside of the park to be read before you enter. A sign like that may go a long way. read more
