For my daughter, we went with Little Kickers which was more expensive but much more effective and therefore valuable. We've had a variety of instructors over the year's including the famous Annie. We're currently with Becka who totally vibes with our daughter and is the kind of person just meant to teach swim lessons to little kids. Our daughter is now 5 and is completely water safe and working toward mastering her four strokes. Effective!

In just five consecutive days, my kids made more progress than they've made in years! My son went from plugging his nose just to go underwater to gliding confidently and even jumping off the diving board -- no floaties and no nose plugging! My daughter Olivia mastered gliding and incorporated arms for the freestyle. It was amazing to watch. Ms. Carol is incredibly encouraging and skilled. She teaches out of her own heated pool, and her approach is direct and effective. She's the best swim teacher around. If you want real progress and a positive experience for your child, give her one two-week session -- they will swim! This was a summer bucket list win!

My daughter had taken a few other swim lessons elsewhere so she was very comfortable in the water and going under. I think this was a large contributing factor to our swim success as Ms Carole did not need to spend that time trying to get her comfortable with going under - and we could focus more on honing her skillset. One call out for new parents is that we are asked to leave the lesson. I hung out in the driveway and could still hear everything during the lesson. My recommendation would be if you have a child who is always looking to you for direction - its best to leave so they can focus on what Ms Carole is saying instead. You can always check out the last 5 minutes of the lesson - but I found it helpful to remove myself from distractions. We were really pleased with the progress we made over the summer and my 4 y/o daughter can successfully jump in the water and make it back to the edge from the deep-end.

Next steps will be to take further legal action to recover our money. This place does not run a professional business and I would be very careful on your decision of taking your child here for quality lessons and customer service!!!

They are gentle, but pushed my kids just enough to massively improve their swimming over the couple of years we went here. At first I thought the small basement pool was bad, but I soon realized that it's an excellent teaching aid, keeping the kids close to the teacher at all times so they can make their strokes perfect. It's also got a deep end so the kids can learn to dive, something our kids hadn't been able to do in some other Lakewood pools. When we had to reschedule or cancel lessons, Jaime the manager was always very friendly and flexible, offering convenient make up lessons, etc.

I will say that I think they do better at the lower levels. My son is at one of the highest levels and the classes are bigger and longer, and I don't feel like he gets the same attention that he used to. My daughter is somewhere in the middle though and still learning a ton from her classes each week. In general, the location is clean and well maintained. There are family showers with doors as well as showers along the side of the pool for a quick rinse off. There are plenty of changing rooms for simply drying off and getting on clothes (along with plastic bags provided for putting wet swim clothes in). The staff is super friendly and my kids love them.

The time leading up to class was absolute chaos though. There were a set of classes that ended at 10:15 and then another set that started at 10:15. I would estimate probably well over 75 kids were either in the pool or on the pool deck - plus all the parents. Once it was time to start the next set of classes it was a nightmare trying to dodge kids getting out of the pool. I feel like there should be a better way to transition from class to class time. All-in-all it wasn't a terrible experience. We will see how the rest of the classes go.
