For my daughter, we went with Little Kickers which was more expensive but much more effective and therefore valuable. We've had a variety of instructors over the year's including the famous Annie. We're currently with Becka who totally vibes with our daughter and is the kind of person just meant to teach swim lessons to little kids. Our daughter is now 5 and is completely water safe and working toward mastering her four strokes. Effective!

This place does not run a professional business and I would be very careful on your decision of taking your child here for quality lessons and customer service!!!

They are gentle, but pushed my kids just enough to massively improve their swimming over the couple of years we went here. At first I thought the small basement pool was bad, but I soon realized that it's an excellent teaching aid, keeping the kids close to the teacher at all times so they can make their strokes perfect. It's also got a deep end so the kids can learn to dive, something our kids hadn't been able to do in some other Lakewood pools. When we had to reschedule or cancel lessons, Jaime the manager was always very friendly and flexible, offering convenient make up lessons, etc.

My son went from plugging his nose just to go underwater to gliding confidently and even jumping off the diving board -- no floaties and no nose plugging! My daughter Olivia mastered gliding and incorporated arms for the freestyle. It was amazing to watch. Ms. Carol is incredibly encouraging and skilled. She teaches out of her own heated pool, and her approach is direct and effective. She's the best swim teacher around. My daughter had taken a few other swim lessons elsewhere so she was very comfortable in the water and going under. I think this was a large contributing factor to our swim success as Ms Carole did not need to spend that time trying to get her comfortable with going under - and we could focus more on honing her skillset. One call out for new parents is that we are asked to leave the lesson. I hung out in the driveway and could still hear everything during the lesson. My recommendation would be if you have a child who is always looking to you for direction - its best to leave so they can focus on what Ms Carole is saying instead. You can always check out the last 5 minutes of the lesson - but I found it helpful to remove myself from distractions. We were really pleased with the progress we made over the summer and my 4 y/o daughter can successfully jump in the water and make it back to the edge from the deep-end.

CHILDREN are teaching CHILDREN. they constantly go against their own company guidelines in order to keep the business afloat. $3 for a 20oz coke and $3 for a pack of starbursts! they are currently BEGGING for good online reviews overall a miserable place. i'd give zero stars if i could.

My son (age 6) and my daughter (age 4) both had a lesson. They both had bundles of fun and loved Emory. All they want to do is go back and swim some more! Waterworks was my third and final shot for swim lessons. To say Tyler is a godsend is an understatement! Tyler worked on building trust with her and making her feel safe in the water. No matter how much she cried, Tyler never gave up on her. Without Tyler's patience, kindness, and support, our toddler would not have made the progress that she made. Fast forward six months, Tyler has taken her from a frightened baby to a toddler that loves to jump in the pool and swim under water. In just one 30 minute lesson she was so much more comfortable in the water and actually started learning that very first day. After two months (once a week, 30 minutes each) she's able to do so much more, such as floating unsupported on her back, proper kicks and a fairly decent overhand stroke. I love the community and the fact that people make an effort to get to know each other. In a city as big as Denver, that is very hard to come by. I also love that there is no talk of weight loss, diets, calories, or being thin in the classes. Fierce45 takes a holistic approach to fitness that focuses on mindset and strength building rather than looking a certain way. Not every studio does this so it is much appreciated.
