I think now it's the time to write something about my favorite yoga studio in Boston after joining swet studio for more than half a year now. Basically everything is great, if you are looking for a place to get abs, legs, glutes exercises while you got bored with the regular, old-fashioned gym workouts. This is it!!! I love all the classes here, both the anti-gravity yoga classes and cardio classes like rowing, for the anti-gravity classes, I started with beginner level classes, and stayed there for a while, the beginner level class is like a great introduction that will give you a peek of all the anti-gravity classes here, barre, pilates, yoga and etc... and one thing I have noticed the most, even when you take the same class with the same instructor, you will always have something different, something new to practice at each class. And I always love to combine the anti-gravity classes with the rowing classes, it's great to get some stretches after a nice cardio class. After doing workouts here for about 6 months, I have definitely noticed the difference on myself. Before I couldn't hold a plank for more than 3 minutes, not even to mention side planks and pushups... I feel happier, stronger and more energetic. Going to the studio four times a week has become part of my life routines. I especially like one sentence they put on the wall, "focus on progress, not on weight", I am embracing a new and healthy lifestyle with the help of swet studio. Speaking of all the instructors here, Silviya, Veronica, Christie and Jennifer. They are all fantastic and awesome!!! They really prepare for each class thoughtfully, and they would cater to your needs and give you advice that will help your fitness plans. Come here! You won't regret it! Oh and one last thing, MORE BARRE CLASSES PLEASE!!! :) read more

Took my first class with Christy yesterday with the first-timer special. Two classes for $30. The instructor did a great job of catering the class for everyone. The studio is very relaxing and great location in the South End. I definitely recommend the class. I was able to get a deep tissues hip flexor stretch/massage using the hammock that a normal Vinyasa class wouldn't be able to do. The instructor takes you through step by step on how to do each movement. Because the class centers around Anti-Gravity, many of the movements are done in using the foundation of the hammock which can be uneasy at first until the instructor teaches you to "Trust the Hammock". We did one inversion for the regular AG class and the instructor was there to make sure everyone did the movement safely and correctly. She took requests before the class started and were able to get a sweat in with some core movements. Swet Studio is also available on Class Pass. Overall a good experience and would recommend this class. I've been doing yoga for years, and the first class was slightly intimidating but once you get used to the hammock, it's great. My friend and I both did workouts prior to the class, so don't expect an intense workout going to this class, but you can expect a deep stretch. Blackbird Donuts is next door - it took a lot of self control to say no after the class, so I recommend crossing the street once you leave the studio unless its cheat day :) read more

I absolutely LOVE Swet Studio! I started here a few weeks ago as I was always interested in trying anti gravity but had never had the opportunity before. It certainly did not disappoint! I was worried about being able to do the various poses and inversions but it was easier than I expected it to be and the instructors are great at helping each person out if they're having trouble. The beginner classes move slowly so that you don't struggle to keep up with the instructor or the rest of the class. I also took AG fly (my first non beginner class) which was a great step up. It's definitely much more challenging than a beginner class but I loved the quick pace and the ability to learn new things and do more inversions and poses. As for the space, it's amazingly clean and a gorgeous studio. Classes are capped at 15 so it's not overwhelming and you're not on top of each other in the hammocks. They also have changing rooms and lockers if needed. I've taken five classes with four different instructors and each one has been great! They understand the challenges that come with this technique and are amazing at accommodating everyone. I would highly recommend coming to Swet Studio; I look forward to every class I take! read more

I've taken the AG mediation and an AG beginner yoga class. I was nervous about trying a new studio, and very nervous about the silks. However, each instructed was very welcoming and willing to answer all questions. First and foremost, they want to ensure you feel comfortable. The mediation was the most relaxing hour! You lay in the silks like a hammock with a warm blanket as the instructor guides you through breathing exercises. I left feeling so rejuvenated and relaxed. I've already recommended to my friends, and plan to make this a part of self-care routine. I highly recommend. The yoga class was so much fun! I went with a friend, and we can't wait to take another class. Our instructor, Veronika, was very patient and knowledgeable. She showed us all the moves before asking us to try. Once I was able to master the back flip, I really felt proud of myself. The studio definitely offers an awesome experience, and all the staff are beyond helpful and welcoming. I would definitely recommend. read more

I absolutely loved the aerial yoga!! It was my first time trying anti gravity yoga and I felt very welcomed and encouraged. I came with my two friends to celebrate my 24th birthday and couldn't have picked a better place ! Definitely would recommend to anyone trying to get in a good workout and try something fun! Silviya was awesome! She was always showing and helping you get into the inversions if you needed help. Make sure you show up on time, 15 minutes early at least. You can put your things in a locker and pick your area. Especially if you want to be next to your friend, keep in mind there are only 15 spots in the class. They also like to measure your hip height and adjust the fabric before the class starts so everyone is ready to go! They seem to have a variety of classes that look awesome and I am definitely going to try! The environment is very cool and relaxed. Can't say enough about this studio; Will definitely be back soon! read more

I signed up for a Swet class out of pure curiosity and now I'm hooked! Because I had no idea what to expect, I was a little nervous walking in to my first class. But after a warm welcome, I was immediately put at ease. My first class was the AG first-time riders class, which I highly recommend as a starting point to get a feel for the hammock and understand the different grips. My second class was the AG beginner which was fun, challenging, and a great stretch. In both classes, the instructors have blown me away with their knowledge, patience, and skill. The studio has everything you need for a class (mats, hammocks, water, etc) so you don't have to worry about forgetting anything. The equipment is of good quality as well; the hammocks are silky and supportive and allow you full range of motion. If you're looking for a new and unique experience in a great atmosphere, then anti-gravity yoga at SwetStudio is definitely for you! read more

My coworker suggested this as a cool, unique activity and it did not disappoint! We took the "First time flyers" class on Sundays and it was a good intro class for getting used to the hammock. The exercise is such a fun experience. You learn how to get in to the hammock, do stretches and poses, and even get into inversions - hanging upside-down. I surprised myself by being able to do a back flip on the first try. One thing I would recommend is to know your limits. If you've ever suffered from dizziness, make sure to take it easy and quit when you've had enough. I went back for an AG Core class which was an amazing workout. Because it was only my second time, the instructor helped me get into the poses and gave me some modifications. It's worth it for the weightless feeling alone. And after class you can take pictures in the swing, which is a plus. Can't wait to come back! read more

This is a great studio! Classes are meant to compliment one another, so whatever your schedule allows, there is a way to get the exercise in - and variety - yay!. THE STAFF are rock stars. Sylviya runs an awesome ship, and if you are lucky enough to get cracking with her on your fitness assesment all the better. So far I have tried the full body rowing working out, the rowing only work out and and the aerial yoga. All were taught by great people (shout out to AG Kaitlin!). Sylviya also did my fitness assesment and she was super thorough and really committed to me just tracking my progresss - she was extremely positive in how she approached goals. After workouts, no one minds if you stretch in a corner, use a foam roller, meditate, ask for advice on exercise form. There's no rush in this homestyle environment. read more

I decided to try out their Aerial Yoga classes about a month ago through ClassPass. It was so fun! I actually started out with the hip hop yoga class, but have since taken the beginner class, the regular yoga and AG core. I'd suggest taking the beginner's class, but if you're experienced with yoga or dance, it should come easily. The environment is very cool and I always feel welcome. I've taken classes with Silviya, Jennifer, Christie and Kaitlin and all are incredibly friendly and fantastic instructors. If you're looking to shake up your workout routine, or like me, particularly enjoy spending time upside down, check out Swet! Update: Recently participated in their aerial barre class, which was a fantastic workout with Jennifer. Will definitely be going back for that one! read more

I cannot rave enough about this cute little studio! Just opened in October, it is a gem of a find. I've gone to three classes now; fundamentals of antigravity, antigravity all, and the levitation meditation. Every class was so fun and rejuvenating. I've taken classes with Tanuja and Jennifer, and both made me so comfortable and welcome as they gently guided me through inversions. Classes are fun, small, and highly individualized with close instruction. And, also, the aerial yoga is so amazing for gently decompressing the spine. As someone who is always on my feet as a nurse, it feels so great to be able to relax and get out any tension. Even if just for a the meditation class to reconnect and ground yourself, it is so worth it to go. You will be so happy you did!!!!! read more

I've been wanting to try aerial yoga for the longest time, and finally got the chance when my friend invited me to one of Swet's beginner class. I highly recommend it for anyone who is even curious about giving it, as the beginner class is a good introduction and afterward I felt comfortable in the other classes they offer! I did the buy one class for the price of three promotion and besides the beginner class also tried the Fly class and the Hip Hop yoga one. If you're looking for something that is more yoga based, definitely try the hip hop one! the Fly class is a little more focused on doing tricks with the hammock, which is also fun but, in my opinion, more challenging! All of the instructors are super friendly and welcoming! read more

I've been wanting to take an aerial yoga class for years, and finally found Swet Studio in Boston that offers classes! They were conveniently having a buy one class get one free deal, so my friend and I went for it. We went to their Beginner Aerial Yoga class taught by Lauren, and it was such a great experience. She took the class very slow since it was almost everyone's first time doing aerial yoga. She carefully explained everything, and slowly demonstrated how to get into each pose. It honestly felt like a private class. In addition, the studio itself is beautiful and the atmosphere is perfect for relaxing yoga class at the end of the day. I can't wait to go back again and try a more advanced class! read more

I have taken 3 Anti Gravity classes and a private session Swet Studio so far. I love it! It's an amazing experience to use hammocks for support and challenge. Silyiya and Veronica are great instructors with positive and encouraging energy. In addition to Anti Gravity, Swet offers indoor rowing classes with Water Rowers. Water Rowers have a much smoother glide than other indoor rowing machines found in many facilities and mimics real-life rowing on the water. The schedule has various level classes each day and they offer private class options as well. I travel almost an hour to visit Swet. It iis totally worth it! read more

Loved my class here! I took the beginner hammock class! It's really awesome class! Veronica had great energy! You should definitely not be concerned or apprehensive taking aerial. It's so exciting and relaxing! The hammocks are well rigged on steel beams and can hold up to 1000 pounds! Loved it! The class started on time and ran for a full hour! Excellent value as well. The classes here will make you strong and you need not worry if it's something you want to try! It's so fun and really stretches you out. The zero compression inversion acts like an inversion table. Awesome class! read more

This was my first experience with anti-gravity classes and I've had a great experience! I've been to the AG beginner and AG barre classes and find the instructors to be very knowledgeable and focused on safety over pushing you past a point you're not comfortable. The silk hammocks feel very sturdy and comfortable and allow you to stretch muscles that don't normally get as much focus. The studio is always very clean and has a welcoming feel to it. I'd definitely recommend checking it out as a fun, different way to get in a workout. read more

I've been taking classes at Swet for about two years now and absolutely love it. The instructors are all so sweet and knowledgeable and helpful. They offer a lot of modifications for beginners and really stress that the class is for you, and to do what your body needs. I've taken classes with Christie, Veronika, Jennifer, and Silviya is phenomenal. The studio is inviting, clean, and a great mix of industrial and modern. Regardless of what class I take, I always leave feeling so refreshed. A must try. read more

Swet is an awesome studio with different styles of antigravity workouts, first you start off with the beginner's classes and they are very fun, once you get the idea of the hammocks you can start with the intermediate levels, I've tried AirYoga, pilates and barre. They are so much different than the non-hammock versions, the stretches are deep and you leave the place happy and relaxed, my favorite Shavasana ever in the cocoons at the end. read more

I went to Swet studio fro a private class with Christie for a bachelorette party. I loved it so much that I went back. I did AG (Anti Gravity) beginner class with Silviya and AG pilates classes with Christie. It is a new way to workout (and workout you do) and you feel great afterwards, mostly for my back which tends to be tense all the time. I now need to try AG core. The instructors are amazing and the studio spotless. read more

First ever Aerial Yoga class and hooked. Am trained as a mat yoga teacher and have been having trouble finding a studio I like in Boston. Kaitlin was knowledgeable and personable and it was clear across the room (most of us were first timers) that she also had the ability to instill confidence in her students. Have posted about this all over my facebook groups, wall, and privately messaged my friends to try it out. read more
